Abstract

The existence of green open space as a Baubau City park is one of the building blocks of the urban landscape of Baubau City, in addition to functioning as a means of channeling people's aspirations, it is also an effort to realize the green city concept. The lack of information regarding the existence of thematic parks results in the ineffective use of parks as public spaces. The purpose of this study is to provide an overview of the distribution of existing public green open space thematic parks and to provide information related to thematic parks in Baubau City. This research was conducted by applying the interview method to obtain an overview of thematic parks and direct observation to collect spatial data on the location of each thematic park in Baubau City. The result of this study is a description of the location of the thematic park based on a geographic information system (GIS) which is presented in the form of a map.

Abstract

Countries in Southeast Asia tend to still use a linear economic system, where the economic system continues to experience losses. This has made countries in Southeast Asia start planning to change their linear economic system to a circular economy. A circular economic system has the principle of sustainably maintaining the value of products, materials and resources in the economy, thereby generating economic growth. The research method used is literature review or literature study, namely by searching for data related to the discussion in the research title that the researcher took. The research results show that countries in Southeast Asia such as Thailand, the Philippines, Indonesia, Singapore and Malaysia are starting to plan and implement a circular economy system in the waste management sector to ensure waste reduction and sustainable waste management.

Abstract

This article is about the effect of forest fires in Kalimantan on increasing air pollution for surrounding countries. The problem of forest fires has become a national issue that is of serious concern to the government. This incident occurs repeatedly every year, especially on the island of Kalimantan. Indonesia has very extensive and dense tropical forests, especially in the Papua and Kalimantan regions. These forests contribute significantly to oxygen production and carbon dioxide storage, which are important factors in maintaining global climate balance. Some people in Indonesia depend directly or indirectly on forests to earn a living and meet their daily needs. Air pollution due to forest fires in Indonesia does not only impact local areas, but can also spread to neighboring countries such as Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei. This can worsen the air quality and health of the citizens of these countries.
