Abstract

Educational supervision plays an important role in ensuring the quality of the teaching and learning process in public schools and madrasahs. The function of supervision focuses on improving the competence of educators, overseeing the implementation of the curriculum, and professional development. In addition, supervision serves to monitor, evaluate and provide constructive feedback to ensure that educational goals are achieved effectively and efficiently. In public schools, educational supervision tends to focus on the implementation of the national curriculum, the development of teaching methods, and the monitoring of student learning outcomes. Meanwhile, in madrasah, supervision places more emphasis on the integration of academic education and religious values. Despite differences in approach, the two institutions share the same goal of improving the quality of education provided to students.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate students’ perceptions of gamification in Indonesian language learning at SMK Mukhtar Syafa’at Blokagung, analyze its effects on motivation and participation, and identify potential challenges and solutions. A qualitative approach with a case study design was employed. Data were collected through observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation. The results indicate that most students responded positively to gamification. Platforms such as Kahoot! and Wordwall created an enjoyable learning atmosphere, enhanced peer interaction, and boosted students’ intrinsic motivation. Challenges included limited access to devices and unstable internet connectivity. Thematic analysis reveals that gamification supports students' psychological needs as described in Self-Determination Theory. The study concludes that gamification has the potential to improve learning quality in pesantren-based education settings, provided it is adapted to religious values, local culture, and digital infrastructure readiness. Ethical implications highlight the importance of inclusive and meaningful gamified learning design.

Abstract

This study aims to (1) describe data on learning styles, learning independence, emotional intelligence, and mathematics learning achievement (2) determine the direct, indirect, and total effects of learning styles, learning independence, and emotional intelligence on the mathematics learning achievement of grade XI IPA students at MAN 1 Banjarmasin in the 2022/2023 academic year. This research is a field research with a quantitative approach. The population in this study were grade XI IPA students at MAN 1 Banjarmasin in the 2022/2023 academic year. The sample in this study consisted of all 101 students of class XI IPA MAN 1 Banjarmasin in the 2022/2023 academic year, and the sample was taken using saturated sampling technique. Data collection techniques included Likert scale questionnaires, documentation, and interviews. The data analysis techniques used in this study were descriptive statistics and classical assumption prerequisite tests, namely normality test, linearity test, multicollinearity test, heteroscedasticity test, and autocorrelation test, as well as path analysis assisted by Lisrel 8.80 software. The results of this study indicate that (1) learning style, learning independence, and emotional intelligence in the good category are positively correlated with students' mathematics learning achievement in the moderate category. (2) There is a significant direct, indirect, and total influence between learning style, learning independence, and emotional intelligence on students' mathematics learning achievement in Grade XI IPA MAN 1 Banjarmasin Academic Year 2022/2023.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of microlearning strategies in improving the quality and efficiency of the learning process in the digital era. The background of this study is based on social changes and learning behavior patterns of modern society that are increasingly dynamic, fast, and dependent on technology. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with the object of research MTs Al-Amiriyyah, a madrasah that has integrated technology into its learning process. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The results of the study showed that microlearning strategies were able to significantly increase focus, material retention, and student cognitive involvement. then analyzed using thematic analysis methods. from this study lies in a holistic approach that not only assesses microlearning from the technical side of learning, but also as a social response to the dynamics of modern society's learning culture.

Abstract

The formation of character at an early age is an appropriate step to improve one's character. One of the ways to do this is through educational institutions, particularly through the teaching of Aqidah Akhlak (Islamic morals). In shaping character in schools, educators need to employ strategies. Strategies in learning are a series of planned actions that also involve the use of media and resources in learning. Appropriate learning strategies will achieve learning objectives. Therefore, teachers must have appropriate strategies in the learning process that will shape children's character through Akidah Akhlak learning. In addition, as teachers, they also need learning methods and media that are appropriate for their competencies. The results of the study show that: (1) The strategies used by PAI teachers to shape students' character in Akidah Akhlak learning are setting a good example, where teachers give direct examples to students. Second, instilling discipline, in addition to the rules established at school, Akidah Akhlak teachers also make their own rules in the classroom. Third, habit formation strategies, such as various habit-forming programs for students, including: performing Dhuha prayers in congregation, reciting the Asmaul Husna before lessons begin, and starting and ending lessons with prayers. Fourth, creating a conducive atmosphere, such as collaborating with parents and encouraging students to express their opinions. Fifth, integrating and internalising moral values into various topics in the Akidah Akhlak subject. (2) The moral values instilled include religiousness, honesty, discipline, independence, compassion, and responsibility.

Abstract

There is a need for an understanding to stop the attitudes of extremism and liberalism, which are ideologies that lie in the middle ground, neither leaning towards extremism nor liberalism. These excessive attitudes can trigger religious conflicts that will threaten national sovereignty. The cultivation of religious moderation values in Islamic religious education for students at schools is important to enhance awareness and understanding of the meaning of diversity around them. The instilling of religious moderation values can be seen in several inclusive and tolerant religious activities. The values of religious moderation include tawassuth, fairness or proportionality, tolerance, peace, unity and brotherhood, nationalism, equality or equity, and other values. The role of Islamic religious teachers in instilling religious moderation in educational institutions is very important, as teachers have the role of providing a broad understanding and appreciation of Islam as a religion that is a blessing for all creation and that values differences.

Abstract

This study discusses the dynamics of Islamisation in the Indonesian archipelago through a literature review of the process, the role of key figures, and models of cultural acculturation. Islamisation in the Indonesian archipelago took place gradually through various channels, such as trade, education, politics, and the arts, each of which exhibited different characteristics in each region. The central role of key figures, such as saints, scholars, and sultans, was crucial in integrating Islamic teachings into local social and cultural structures, thereby accelerating the acceptance of Islam among the people. Adaptive acculturation strategies enabled the harmonisation of Islamic values with pre-Islamic traditions, resulting in a distinctive, moderate, and inclusive form of Islam. These findings confirm that the Islamisation process in the Nusantara region not only brought about religious changes but also shaped the cultural and social identity of Indonesian society to this day.

Abstract

Education requires input from various parties in the formulation of its policies. Given that the moral crisis is escalating, strict educational management is needed. Education is a process of instilling and developing values and norms that are implicit in every subject, including Islamic education and its teachers. Therefore, it is not only Islamic education teachers who have the responsibility to educate students' morals and character, but this also applies to all educators. Efforts to improve the quality of Islamic education have been widely implemented. The aim is to convey the meaning of education that serves to build the character and morals of a dignified nation in order to educate the nation, develop the potential of Indonesians who are faithful and devoted to God Almighty, have noble morals, are healthy, knowledgeable, skilled, creative, and independent. The shortcomings and strengths of each school will have an impact and require different approaches. Appropriate policies and management will yield positive outcomes aligned with the institution's objectives. Conversely, if management and policies are not tailored to the institution's needs, failure is inevitable. Do not merely focus on the policies and management of other institutions that appear effective and successful. Every institution has different needs and objectives, so policies and management in each school will also differ and should be tailored to their respective needs.

Abstract

This research aims to examine Teachers' Creativity in Making Thematic Learning Media for grade III MIS Roudhotul Ulum Parit Setia, Jawai District, Academic Year 2023-2024. This research uses a qualitative approach and a qualitative descriptive type of research. Data collection techniques use interviews, observations and documentation. The data analysis techniques used are data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of this study show that: 1) How teachers make media in Grade III thematic learning MIS Roudhotul Ulum Parit Setia Academic Year 2023-2024, Determining learning objectives, Analyzing learning materials, Paying attention to students' needs and interests, Using various sources such as images, videos, etc. 2) The problems faced by teachers in creating thematic learning media for Class III MIS Roudhotul Ulum Parit Setia for the 2023-2024 Academic Year are as follows: Limited time, Limited resources such as technological devices, Limited school budget. The way teachers evaluate the application of media in thematic learning for Class III MIS Roudhotul Ulum Parit Setia for the 2023-2024 Academic Year is as follows: Adjusted to the type of learning, education level, and needs of students, Evaluation method: Direct observation of student involvement and response, Test before and after media use to see the impact on understanding.

Abstract

The objectives of this study are (1) to identify the learning facilities used to support the process of learning the Qur'an and Hadith at Jongkong 1 Public Primary School. (2) To determine how teachers utilise learning facilities to support the process of learning the Qur'an and Hadith at Jongkong 1 Public Elementary School. (3) To identify obstacles in utilising learning facilities to support the process of learning the Qur'an and Hadith at Jongkong 1 Public Elementary School. This study used a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. The facilities have been utilised well and appropriately in supporting the Al-Qur'an Hadith learning process, but there are still several obstacles faced by Al-Qur'an Hadith teachers in using learning facilities. These obstacles can be overcome with other facilities and the creativity of Al-Qur'an Hadith subject teachers. Other obstacles experienced by teachers in utilising learning facilities at school are more related to the situation and conditions, especially for learning rooms and libraries. Facilities that can support Al-Qur'an Hadith learning include the school library and prayer room.
