Abstract

Education is a shared responsibility between the government, society and families, so that based on this responsibility, education in Indonesia is organised through three channels, namely formal, non-formal and informal education. Informal educational activities carried out by families and the community take the form of independent learning activities. The family, as the first centre of Islamic education, is the initial phase, the basis, and the foundation that is crucial to the continuity and success of further education, because education within the family is a natural centre of education that takes place in a natural manner compared to other centres of education. Parents, as the people most responsible for their children's education, have an obligation to educate their children in accordance with the mandate given to them by Allah SWT. There are three methods that can be used to internalise Islamic educational values in the family, including teaching, exemplary behaviour, guidance and habit formation. Meanwhile, the Islamic educational values internalised in the family are a. Ilahiyah values. Ilahiyah values are values that arise from a belief in supernatural guidance or God. These values are divided into the values of faith or monotheism and morals, the values of worship, and the values of muamalah. b. Human values. Human values are values that arise or are formed from the culture and conditions of the surrounding community, both individuals and groups. Human values are divided into ethical, social, and aesthetic values.

Abstract

Effective communication in building social harmony is essential to create unity. Building harmony in society requires serious efforts starting from each individual or family as the smallest organisation in society that has duties, roles, and as an initial educational process in instilling values of tolerance from an early age, as well as activities in the community that can encourage mutual respect for differences, maintain harmony and unity, sharing, belonging, tolerance, and a strong desire to live in peace. As a diverse nation, diversity and differences are inevitable in society, but with good communication and a shared determination, a peaceful, just, prosperous and harmonious life can be created, as desired by all levels of society. A society is said to live in harmony if the interactions or relationships between individuals or groups in society run well, have a sense of solidarity, respect differences, feel mutual need, build cooperation, help each other, and so on.

Abstract

Al-Ghazali's thoughts on Islamic education are highly relevant to modern education today and can serve as a reference in shaping individuals who are faithful, knowledgeable, and have noble character. He emphasises the importance of balance between intellectual and spiritual aspects in the learning process. Education should not only focus on academic knowledge, but also on shaping the character and soul of students. Al-Ghazali's spiritual experience is also reflected in two main points that he puts forward as the ultimate goals of education, namely the achievement of human perfection that leads to closeness to Allah and human perfection that leads to happiness in this world and the hereafter. Meanwhile, according to al-Ghazali, the education curriculum classifies several parts: (1) syar'iyah (religious) and 'aqliyah (rational/intellectual) knowledge, as well as ghairu syar'iyah (non-religious) knowledge, whether it is praiseworthy (mahmud), permissible (mubah), or despicable (madzmum); (2) theoretical and practical knowledge; (3) hudhuri (present) knowledge and hushuli (acquired) knowledge; and (4) fardhu 'ain knowledge and fardhu kifayah knowledge. Al-Ghazali's classification of knowledge does not mean that he rejects the importance of studying all kinds of knowledge. Al-Ghazali only emphasises the need for humans to prioritise education by placing religious knowledge in the most urgent position.

Abstract

Management is an important aspect in managing an educational unit. Therefore, this research aims to describe how management in the educational unit model at the Makassar Ittihad Integrated Islamic School. The approach used in this research is qualitative by collecting data through interviews, observation and documentation. The subjects of this research were school principals, teachers and staff of SIT Ittihad Makassar. The research results show that in the planning aspect the vision, mission and annual work program are formulated. In the field of curriculum, integration is carried out between general education and religion. Student involvement is encouraged through religious and extracurricular organizations. Human Resources trained through continuous education and training. Public relations is carried out through websites and participation on social media. Strong school culture implement discipline and norms. Finance is obtained from student fees and community donations. As a result, the management model at SIT Ittihad Makassar has been implemented implemented well to achieve the goals of comprehensive Islamic education.

Abstract

Cultural differences in schools can affect student interaction, especially in learning activities, which has the potential to cause misunderstandings. This study aims to describe the strategies applied by PAI teachers in overcoming differences in intercultural communication among grade XI students of SMKN 1 Jakarta. Methods This research uses Mix Methods. Qualitative approach with a focus on data collection through direct observation, interviews, and document analysis. The method also uses a quantitative approach and field research using the Google Forms platform to take student responses. The findings were then processed using Likert scale calculations using SPSS. Based on the results of the data analysis of the paired samples t-test, it is known that there is a significant difference between variable X (PAI teacher strategy) and variable Y (differences in intercultural communication). It can be seen from the significance value (2-tailed) of 0.00<0.05 which means that there is a significant influence of the treatment of variable X (PAI teacher strategy) on variable Y (differences in intercultural communication), which can be interpreted that the PAI teacher's strategy in overcoming differences in intercultural communication is declared effective.

Abstract

This research is motivated by low problem solving abilities. The purpose of this research is to determine the effect of wordwall games on problem solving abilities. The research method used in this research is a quantitative method (Quasi Experiment). In this research, researchers carried out random sampling. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that: (1) There is an influence of using the Wordwall Game on students' mathematical problem solving abilities with test results using a simple linear regression test and a one-way ANOVA test with a significance level of 0.05. The simple linear regression test has a significance value (Sig.) of 0.000 < 0.05 so it can be concluded that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted which shows that "there is an influence of the use of the Wordwall Game on students' mathematical problem solving abilities". (2) The one-way ANOVA test has a significance value of 0.043 < 0.05, so there is a difference in average values. There are differences between students who use the Wordwall Game and students who do not use the Wordwall game regarding mathematical problem solving abilities. With the test results using the Independent Sample t-Test, namely the Sig value. amounting to 0.000 < 0.05 as the basis for decision making in the Independent Sample t-Test test states that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted, namely that there is a difference between students who use the Wordwall Game and students who do not use the Wardwall game regarding mathematical problem solving abilities.

Abstract

This research aims to develop educational digital comics that teach Islamic communication ethics to students at SDIT Al-Firdaus. Using a Research and Development approach, this research analyzes how comics that are adapted to students' cognitive levels are able to deepen their understanding of the ethical values ​​of communication and increase motivation and participation in learning compared to conventional methods. This study is based on several theories, such as learning media theory, communication ethics theory, and the social construction of reality, and includes a review of literature related to comic media in character and ethics education. The data analysis method used is validity analysis using scoring criteria and Aiken's V index. Based on the validation test, the results show that the feasibility of the learning materials and media reached a validity value of 0.8, which falls into the "High" category or is deemed suitable for use.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the integration of critical reasoning skills in the Islamic Religious Education and Ethics class IX textbook published by the Ministry of Education and Culture based on the Independent Learning Curriculum. A descriptive qualitative approach is used to evaluate the content of textbooks through critical thinking indicators developed by Robert Ennis, including basic clarification, basic support, inference, advanced clarification, and strategies and tactics. The results of the study show that the textbook as a whole has integrated various activities that support the development of students' critical thinking skills, such as analyzing arguments, assessing the credibility of sources, drawing conclusions, defining terms, and designing problem-solving strategies. This research provides recommendations for teachers to choose appropriate teaching materials and design learning that is able to encourage the development of students' critical thinking skills optimally.

Abstract

This study examines the effectiveness of using PowerPoint media to improve Arabic listening skills among seventh-grade students at SMP Al-Muhaimin. The motivation for this research stems from the low listening skills in Arabic among students due to the lack of relevant learning media, monotonous teaching methods, and limited exposure to the Arabic language. This study employs a quantitative approach with an experimental method, using a pretest-posttest control group design. Two groups of students, an experimental group and a control group, were given a pretest to measure their initial listening skills. The experimental group was taught using PowerPoint media for 4-6 sessions, while the control group used conventional methods. After the learning sessions, both groups were given a posttest to measure the improvement in their listening skills.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the implementation of student management at SDN Demangan 1 Bangkalan. A qualitative descriptive method with a tendency for analysis was used. The research subjects were students and teachers of SDN Demangan 1 Bangkalan. The data collection techniques used were observation, interviews, and documentation. The research results showed that the management at SDN Demangan 1 is very good. This school is the only elementary school in East Java, especially in Bangkalan, that has an athlete class program. In addition, recently, SDN Demangan 1 has also been running a literacy program for students who are less literate.
