Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out how the people of Sade Rembitan Hamlet sell products, positioning, promotion, place, sales process, cooperation system, and tourist response. The method used in this research is a qualitative approach by using a phenomenological design. collecting data using three techniques. such as observation, documentation, and interviews. The results of this study are in marketing their products, the residents of Sade Hamlet have not been able to market their products due to a lack of understanding of foreign languages. so that the impact on product positioning, promotion, and interaction with tourists is hampered. Besides that, the price of the products sold must have a price list so that there is no price competition and does not confuse tourists confused by the different price variations among other sellers. Sade Hamlet tourism products benefit from the customs and traditions that still exist today. Thus, the promotion carried out by the residents of Sade Hamlet is currently still in the category of being promoted by cooperation partners from industry, related governments, HPI associations, and visiting tourists. Thus, the process of interaction, cooperation with local guides and travel agents is very well established. However, it does not rule out the possibility of having to maintain intense communication between them.

Abstract

Ogun State, Nigeria, is experiencing crises, including kidnapping and terrorism, that can impact its destinations. Thus, this study examined the perceptions of 133 tourists on the influence of these crises on their visitation to an attraction in the state, using a questionnaire survey. Two attraction officials were also interviewed on whether such crises impact revenue generation and employment. Results from the questionnaires, which were analyzed using PSPP frequency distribution, show that although terror crises had no significant influence on tourists' visitation to the attraction, they were concerned with the level of insecurity at the destination. Also, the transcribed interview outcomes reveal that, although similar crises had no significant impact on tourism, their perceptions can affect revenue generation and employment when destinations are poorly projected. Consequently, these findings suggest the need for improved safety measures and mechanisms for promoting safe places at the destination by the authorities, for improved tourist arrivals, revenue, and employment opportunities.

Abstract

As the Heart of Bali Tourism, Badung Regency plays an important role in the development of Tourism in Bali Province. To ensure sustainable Badung Regency Tourism, real steps must be taken immediately to overcome the negative impacts caused by Tourism itself. The formulation of marketing strategies was obtained from the implementation of FGD (Focus Group Discussion), which was attended by tourism stakeholders and related agencies within the Badung Regency government. The data was analyzed using SWOT analysis (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats). The use of digital platforms, besides being considered effective and efficient in promoting tourist attractions in Badung Regency, can also be used as a medium to socialize Do's and Don'ts related to what tourists can and should not do during their visits in Badung Regency in particular and Bali Island in general, so that negative impacts and problems caused by the tourism sector can be minimized.  Good coordination and collaboration between tourism stakeholders and local governments are also important factors that must always be maintained, and are expected to be able to overcome problems that arise in the community due to the adverse effects of tourism. Badung Regency must continue to improve itself in improving the safety and comfort of tourists, so that it can strengthen its position as a Regency that dominates the favorite destination of domestic and foreign tourists visiting Bali Island.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to look at the effects of tourism spatially and examine its impact on the aggregate welfare of the population. Therefore, the author asks two fundamental questions in this research. First, is the rapid demand for tourism capable of creating new regional growth poles spatially? Second, is increasing tourism receipts able to create welfare effects? The method used in this research is simple time series correlation and regression. The findings in this research are that the dependent variables tend to have a strong influence on education and employment indicators. Tourism seems to have only a false effect on economic activity in North Lombok Regency. It is proven that since this district was expanded, there have been no significant growth poles in this region. Regional and economic segregation is still clearly visible today.

Abstract

This paper presents a comprehensive bibliometric analysis aimed at investigating the efficiency and trajectory of the Travel Cost Method (TCM) in tourism research. Drawing upon a systematic search of scholarly publications using electronic databases such as Web of Science, Scopus, and Google Scholar, we identified a corpus of articles focusing on TCM application, methodology, or evaluation in the context of tourism. Employing VOSviewer software, we conducted a detailed analysis of bibliometric indicators including citation counts, co-authorship networks, keyword co-occurrence, and citation bursts to elucidate patterns, trends, and influential works within the TCM literature in tourism. Our findings highlight the growing importance of TCM as a valuable tool for economic valuation, decision-making, and policy formulation in the tourism industry. The analysis revealed a diverse array of research themes spanning economic valuation, visitor demand analysis, environmental impact assessment, and sustainable tourism management. Methodological advancements, including the integration of stated preference techniques and spatial analysis methods, were identified as key drivers enhancing the accuracy and reliability of economic valuation estimates. The implications of the findings extend beyond academia to inform practice and policy in the tourism sector, offering practical insights for tourism planners, managers, and policymakers seeking to balance economic development with environmental conservation and social welfare objectives. By contributing to a deeper understanding of the role of TCM in shaping tourism research and informing sustainable tourism management practices, this study provides valuable insights for stakeholders in academia, industry, and policy-making.
