Abstract

Environmentally conscious or pro- environmental behavior Behavior is an important factor in maintaining environmental sustainability in urban areas. Students, as the younger generation, have a strategic role in shaping environmentally friendly behavior. Ecological knowledge and psychological factors such as locus of control of control is thought to influence this behavior. This study aims to analyze the influence of ecological knowledge and locus of control. of control over pro- environmental This study investigated student behavior in the urban area of Makassar. The study used a quantitative design with a cross-sectional approach. The study sample of 120 high school students was selected using a stratified sampling technique. random sampling. Data were collected through a structured questionnaire and analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results showed that ecological knowledge (β = 0.41; p < 0.001) and locus of control (β = 0.36; p < 0.001) has a significant effect on pro- environmental Behavior. Simultaneously, these two variables explain 48% of the variation in students' environmentally conscious behavior. It was concluded that increasing ecological knowledge and strengthening internal self-control can improve environmentally friendly behavior in students in urban areas.

Abstract

Immunization is an effective promotive and preventive measure in preventing infectious diseases. However, immunization coverage in some coastal areas is still suboptimal. Geographical, social, and cultural conditions, as well as limited access to health services, are factors that influence immunization implementation. This study aims to identify obstacles and challenges to immunization implementation in coastal communities. This study used quantitative methods with a descriptive analytical design and a cross-sectional approach. Sectional. The research sample was mothers who have toddlers in coastal area X. Data were collected using questionnaires and analyzed univariately and bivariately. The results showed that the main obstacles to immunization implementation include access to health services, maternal knowledge, perceptions of immunization, and family support. The conclusion of this study is that the implementation of immunization in coastal communities still faces various obstacles that require integrated interventions.

Abstract

Evidence-Based Evidence-Based Practice (EBP) is an approach to nursing practice that integrates the best scientific evidence, nurses' clinical expertise, and patient values and preferences. The implementation of EBP-based nursing care is expected to improve the quality of care and patient safety. However, in practice, the implementation of EBP by nurses still faces various challenges. This study aims to determine the implementation of Evidence-Based Nursing Care. Practice in nursing services. This study uses a quantitative method with a descriptive analytical design and a cross-sectional approach. Sectional. The research sample was nurses in health care facility X. Data were collected using questionnaires and analyzed univariately and bivariately. The results showed that most nurses had implemented EBP-based nursing care in a good category, but there were still nurses who had not optimally utilized scientific evidence. The conclusion of this study is that the application of EBP in nursing care needs to be continuously improved through education and organizational support.

Abstract

The Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR) remains an important indicator of public health status and the quality of maternal health services. One of the main strategies in reducing MMR is through comprehensive midwifery services that include antenatal, intranatal, postnatal, and family planning services. This study aims to determine the role of comprehensive midwifery services as an effort to reduce maternal mortality. This study uses a quantitative method with an analytical design and a cross-sectional approach. The study sample was mothers who received midwifery services at health service facility X. Data were collected using questionnaires and observation sheets, then analyzed using the Chi-Square test. The results of the study showed that good comprehensive midwifery services were significantly associated with a reduced risk of maternal complications that contributed to a decrease in MMR (p < 0.05). The conclusion of this study is that comprehensive midwifery services play an important role in efforts to reduce maternal mortality.

Abstract

Needle stick Needlestick injuries (NSIs) are a common occupational risk among healthcare workers and clinical practice students. Needlestick injuries can lead to the transmission of infectious diseases such as Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, and HIV. One way to prevent NSIs is compliance with the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) during clinical procedures. This study aims to determine the relationship between compliance with PPE use and the incidence of needlestick injuries. stick injury in clinical practice students. This study used a quantitative method with an analytical design and a cross-sectional approach. The study was conducted in a sectional manner. The sample of the study was students undergoing clinical practice at practice area X. Data were collected using a questionnaire and analyzed using the Chi- Square test. The results of the study showed a significant relationship between compliance with the use of PPE and the incidence of needle sticks. stick injury (p < 0.05). The conclusion of this study is that students who do not comply with the use of PPE have a higher risk of experiencing needle sticks. stick injury.

Abstract

Iodine Deficiency Disorders (IDD) are a public nutritional problem still found in several regions, including coastal areas. This condition is influenced by inadequate iodine intake and the consumption of foods containing goitrogenic substances that can inhibit iodine absorption. This study aims to determine the relationship between consumption patterns of foods containing iodine and goitrogenic substances and the incidence of IDD in coastal areas. This study used quantitative methods with an analytical design and a case-by-case approach. control. The sample consisted of a case group (people with IDD) and a control group (people without IDD). Data were collected through a food consumption frequency questionnaire and analyzed using the Chi- Square test. The results showed that low consumption of iodine-rich foods and high consumption of goitrogenic foods were significantly associated with the incidence of IDD (p < 0.05).
