The Implementation of Labirin Board Game in Enhancing Students' Speaking Skill in Eleventh Grade at SMA Negeri 18 Makassar, Skripsi for English Education Study Program Faculty of Teacher Training and Education University of Bosowa. (Supervised by Nurfaizah Sahib, and Restu Januarty). This research focuses on the students’ speaking skill through labirin board game. The aim of this study was to find out weather there was an enhancement of students’ speaking skill after implementing the labirin Board Game in eleventh grade at SMA 18 Makassar in the 2022/2023 academic year. The method used in this study was quantitative experimental research with one group pre-test-post-test research design. Speaking test used as the instruments of elicting the data. The procedure of collecting data was pre-test, treatment, and post-test. The samples of this research were the eleventh grade with 36 students. Simple random sampling was a method used to select a sample . The results of data analysis showed there was an enhancement in students' speaking skill of vocabulary, pronunciation, and fluency through the implementation of the abirin Board Game. The mean score of the students increased from 5.06 on the pre-test to 7.67 on the post-test The difference between the pre-test and the post-test was statistically significant (0.00<0.05). Based on the results of data analysis, the writer conclude that there was an enhancement after implementing the labirin Board Game on speaking skill in eleventh grade at SMA 18 Makassar.]]>

<![CDATA[ABSTRACT This research aimed at finding out the students’ speaking ability before and after using participation point system method in teaching speaking. The independent variable was using participation point system method and the dependent variable was students’ speaking achievement. The sample of the research were 36 students of class VIII6 at SMPN 8 Makassar in the second semester academic year 2021/2022. The design of this research was quantitative design and the method used in this research was pre-experimental one group pretest-posttest research.The result of the research showed that there was a difference between pre-test and post-test score of the students. Theaverage score of pre-test was 48,78 and the average score of post-test was 86,11. Based on the result can be seen that after the researcher gave treatment in post-test was higher than pre-test. Therefore, participation point system becomes an appropriate method in teaching speaking of class VIII6 at SMPN 8 Makassar. Key Words : Participation Point System, Speaking Ability]]>

<![CDATA[The purpose of this study was to determine the use of guiding questions technique in improvement students' writing skills of class VIII at SMPN 35 Makassar. This study used the method of quantitative experimental. This study was conducted in three steps such as pre-test, treatment, and post-test. The subjects of this study were students of class VIIl-6 with a total sample of 26 students. Data was collected by giving a descriptive text writing test. Based on the results of data analysis, the students' pre-test results were 42.12 then after receiving treatment the student's score increased to 79.35 in the post-test. Therefore, the hypothesis of this study was accepted. So that the writer concludes that the use of guiding question techniques in writing descriptive texts can improve students' writing skills at SMPN 35 Makassar.]]>

<![CDATA[The purpose of this study was to carry out whether there was an effect of the used the Microsoft Teams application on students’ speaking skills of SMAN 18 Makassar for the 2022/2023 academic year. This study used pre-experimental methods in one pre-test and post-test class through a speaking test. The sample consisted of 25 students taken from the population of class XII Science 1 SMAN 18 Makassar for the 2022/2023 academic year. In conducting data analysis, the writers used the SPSS v.25 application. The results of the data analysis showed that there was an effect on students' speaking skills which can be seen from five speaking assessments, there are pronunciation, grammar, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension. The average score of students increased from 47.20 on the pre-test to 84.48 on the post-test. This suggests that the H1 hypothesis is accepted and the H0 hypothesis is rejected. Based on the results of data analysis, the writers concluded that students' speech skills effect through the Microsoft Teams application.]]>

<![CDATA[This study aimed to determine to enchance the students’ ability in writing narrative text through blended learning of class Xl-5 students of SMAN 4 Makassar in writing narrative texts using the blended learning method. This study used a pre-experimental method. The Subject of this study were students of class Xl-5 at SMAN 4 Makassars emester in the academic year 2022/2023, with a sample of 34 students. Data collection was narrative text through offline and online. The research data collected through the test showed that the student's writing ability after the research was conducted, students were more interested in using the blended learning method in writing narrative texts. Based on the results of the data analysis, it can be seen that the student's results in the offline pre-test were 49.03. Then after getting treatment, the students' pre-test scores increased to 79.47 in the post-test. While the students' results in the online pre-test were 52.18, and after getting treatment, the students' pre-test scoreincreased to 89.15 in the post-test. It can be concluded that students' writing skills are improved in the online learning.So it can be concluded that using the blended learning method can improve students' learning ability in writing narrative texts at SMAN 4 Makassar.]]>

<![CDATA[ABSTRACT The aim of this study was to determine the implementation of the English day program in students' speaking skill. This research method is, applied a qualitative research, data were collected from observations, interviews, and documentation. The sample of this research is the students of class XI SMAN 18 Makassar who follow the English Club. the writer uses interview guidelines. The results of this study indicated that the English day program can improve students' speaking skills. However, the implementation of English day at SMAN 18 Makassar has not been carried out well because: some students still use Indonesian during English day, and some students are not confident to speak English with friends around them. It is recommended that the person in charge of the English Club can implement the English day program in the school environment, and tighten the applicable rules, because English day is an important program for international schools. <![CDATA[Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pembelajaran aplikasi pembelajaran pronundroid-IPA terhadap hasil belajar pengucapan dalam bahasa Inggris di kelas XI SMA Negeri 5 Makassar. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen dengan Pre-experimental dengan desain One Group Pre-test dan post-test. yaitu memberikan tes sebelum perawatan, kemudian memberikan tes setelah perawatan menggunakan pengucapan aplikasi pronundroid-IPA. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI 4 yang beranggotakan 5 siswa. Penelitian dilakukan dalam 29 kali pertemuan. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik uji yang dianalisis dengan statistik deskriptif. Data yang diperoleh juga dianalisis menggunakan program SPSS versi 3.22. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran menggunakan aplikasi Pronundroid-IPA Pronundroid-IPA terhadap hasil belajar bahasa Inggris kelas XI siswa SMA Negeri 0 Makassar. Fakta ini dapat dilihat pada hasil analisis SPSS versi 5,4, nilai rata-rata hasil belajar siswa adalah 22,0. Dengan demikian, dapat dikatakan bahwa terdapat hubungan positif antara model pembelajaran yang menggunakan aplikasi pengucapan pronundroid-IPA pada hasil belajar siswa.]]>

<![CDATA[RONAL SIMON 2022. IMPROVING STUDENTS’ VOCABULARY USING APPLICATION “RUANG GURU” AT SMPN 35 MAKASSAR. Skripsi of the English Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Bosowa University. (Supervised by Ulfah Syam, and Rampeng. The aim of this research is conducted in order to improve students’ vocabulary through Ruang Guru application at the first grade of SMPN 35 Makassar. This study was experimental research with a pre-experimental One Group Pre-test and post-test research design, namely giving a test before treatment, then giving a test after treatment using the Ruang Guru application. The sample of this study was is grade VII.2 students. A total of 23 students. The research was conducted in 4 meetings. The data collection technique used in the study was a test technique which was analyzed with descriptive statistics. The data obtained were also analyzed using SPSS version 22.0 program. The results showed that there was an effect of the learning model using the Ruang Guru application on the learning students at VII.2 SMP Negeri 35 Makassar. This can be seen based on the results of the SPSS version 22 analysis.]]>

<![CDATA[This research aimed to determine the use of Jeopardy Game learning media on Reading Comprehension Skills of Narrative Text by Eighth Grade students of UPT SPF SMP Negeri 35 Makassar. This research focused on quantitative experimental research. The population of this research was students of class VIII UPT SPF SMP Negeri 35 Makassar, totaling 282 students. Random Sampling technique was used to one class as research sample, which consisted of 28 students. The data were obtained from written tests related to reading comprehension on narrative text. The results of this study used inferential analysis of the t-test by SPSS v.16 which showed a significant effect on the students’ mean score of Reading Comprehension skill between the pretest and post-test. The mean score of the students’ Reading Comprehension on Nrrative Text enhanced from 3.39 in the pretest to 6.46 in the posttest. The significance value calculated 0.000 is smaller than 0.05 (P-value = 0.000 < 0.05). Thus, it can be concluded that Jeopardy Game learning media is effect applied to students’ Reading Comprehension skill on Narrative Text in class VIII at UPT SPF SMP Negeri 35 Makassar.]]>

Supervised by Restu Januarty Hamid and Ulfah Syam.This study aimed to know the effect of using review strategy to improve student writing skill at SMAN 18 Makassar. This study used pre-experimental research one group pre-test and post-test. The population in this study was students of class XI IPA SMAN 18 Makassar. The writer took one class from the target population for the research.The sample to be used is class XI IPA 3, the number of samples is 30 students. Data obtained from writing test. The result of this study used inferential analysis of the t-test by SPSS v.16, which showed a signficant effect on the students’ mean score writing skill between the pretest and post-test. The average score of the students’ writing enhanced from 55.10 in the pretest to 88.90 in the posttest. The significance value calculated 0.000 is smaller than 0.05 (P-value = 0.000 < 0.05). Thus, it can be concluded that the review strategy is effect applied to improve students’ writing skill at SMAN 18 Makassar.]]>
