Program ini bertujuan sebagai bagian integral dari upaya pemanfaatan limbah sampah perca kain, kulit kerang dan sisik ikan menjadi produk souvenir pesta yang cantik dan menarik berupa bross, jepitan rambut, dan gantungan kunci. Upaya ini dimaksudkan untuk memberikan pengetahuan dan keterampilan kepada mitra untuk memanfaatkan fasilitas yang tersedia, serta cara kerja yang inovatif. Lokasi pengabdian adalah kelurahan Tinoring Kecamatan Mengkendek Kabupaten Tana Toraja. Pada dasarnya kabupaten Tana Toraja telah memiliki mobil truk angkutan sampah, tetapi hanya beroperasi di dalam kota kabupaten saja. Kelurahan Tinoring yang letaknya 11 km dari kota kabupaten mengakibatkan wilayah ini tidak terjangkau dengan kendaraan pengangkut sampah. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini adalah metode “peer teaching dan transformasi technology” dengan pendekatan “partisipatif dan kolaboratif” yang melibatkan kerja sama antara tim pengabdi, pemulung dan kelompok dasa wisma. Hal ini dilakukan untuk meningkatkan partisipasi masyarakat dalam mengumpulkan bahan, mendesain, mengembangkan serta memasarkan hasil produksi. Hasil yang dicapai dalam pelaksanaan program ini adalah terciptanya lingkungan yang sehat, nyaman, indah dan rapi. Sampah yang tidak mudah lapuk seperti perca kain, kulit kerang dan sisik ikan diolah menjadi karya menarik dan bernilai ekonomi berupa souvenir pesta. Target dan luaran yang dicapai dalam kegiatan ini adalah mengoptimalkan kemampuan yang dimiliki masyarakat pedesaan untuk mengelola sampah yang disesuaikan dengan bahan dan peralatan yang tersedia.

The objective of the research was to know the influence of using Hello English application to enhance students’ achievement of pronunciation in English. This research applied pre-experimental in one class pre-test and post-test. This research conducted at SMPN 1 Sumarorong. In this research the population was the eight students of SMPN 1 Sumarorong in 2020/2021 academic year. The researcher used total sampling technique. The total sample was 30 students from class VIII-D. In analyzing the numerical data, the writer used SPSS v. 16.0. Based on the results of data analysis, the writer concluded that the use of Hello English application can increase students’ pronunciation skill, it’s proved by the mean score of the students in pretest and post-tes. The result of the research shows that Hello English application significantly increased students’ pronunciation ability after did treatment. The mean score improved from 42.33 in pre-test to 82.16 in post-test. It indicated that the one hypothesis (H1) was accepted and of course, the null hypothesis (H0) was rejected. It means that Hello English application could increase the students’ pronunciation ability in learning English at SMPN 1 Sumarorong.

Seagrass beds important for habitats for various marine biota, improve marine sediments and can recycle nutrients (NH4, P, N) so that can be utilized by other biota including seaweed. Water quality can directly affect the life of the aquatic biota especially macrozoobentos. Therefore, this study was conducted to determine the effect of seaweed cultivation on the presence of macrozoobenthos associated with seagrass bed. The method in this research is survey. Data obtained and collected through seagrass observation, macrozoobentos observation, and water quality measurement in the field and then continued with sediment and water analysis in the laboratory. Data on the relationship between seaweed cultivation and macrozoobenthos density were made by linear regression. Result of correlation test between macrozoobenthos density to seagrass cover at seaweed cultivation and without seaweed cultivation showed different result. At the seaweed cultivation site shows a positive relationship between seagrass cover to macrozoobenthos density. Otherwise, on site without seaweed cultivation showed a negative relationship between seagrass cover to macrozoobenthos density.Key word: macrozoobenthos, seagrass, seaweed cultivation, water quality, substrat

This research is aimed to explore the students’ needs in learning speaking English and redesign the syllabus based on the students’ needs in order to improve the students’ skill in speaking English.The population of this research was the second semester students of English, Indonesian, Civic Education and Math Study Program in Faculty of Teacher Training and Education of Bosowa University Makassar in 2021/2022 Academic Year which consisted of 40 students.The result of students’ questionnaires and interviews indicate that redesign syllabus is a must to fulfill the students’ need to give impacts to students’ achievement in learning

The purpose of this study was to know the level of ability and interest of students class VIIl-7 of SMPN 17 Makassar in writing descriptive texts using clustering techniques. This study uses the method of description. The research subjects were students of class Vlll-7 SMPN 17 Makassar in the odd semester in the academic year 2021/2022 with a sample of 33 students. Data collection is done by giving the task of writing descriptive text. The research data collected through the test showed that the students' writing ability after the research was conducted, the students were more interested in using clustering techniques in writing descriptive texts. Based on the results of data analysis, it can be seen that the student's result is 50.27 then after getting treatment the student's pre-test score increases to 78.88 on the post-test. So it can be concluded that using the clustering technique can improve students' learning abilities in writing descriptive texts at SMP 17 Makassar.

This study aimed to know the implementation of higher order thinking skills on students’ reading comprehension at SMA Negeri 18 Makassar. This research focused on pre-experimental research with one group pre-test post-test. The population of this research was class XI students of SMA Negeri 18 Makassar in the academic year 2021/2022. Purposive sampling techniques were used to took one class as the research sample, totaling 26 students. The data was obtained in the form of multiple choices of the reading test. After analyzing data, the writer concluded that the implementation of HOTS in reading comprehension can improve students’ reading comprehension. This evidenced by the average score of students during the pre-test and post-test. The mean score of the students in the pre-test (before the action) was 36.53 and the post-test (after the action) was 68.07. These data indicated that there is a significant difference between the pre-test and post-test. Based on the data from the analysis, it can be concluded that the implementation of higher-order thinking skills can improve students' reading comprehension in class XI Social 4 SMA Negeri 18 Makassar.

This study aimed to know whether the use of Recorded CNN News as Learning Media can or not increase Students’ Listening Skill at eleventh grade of SMA Negeri 18 Makassar. This study used a pre-experimental research method in one class pre-test and post-test. The population of this research was the eleventh-grade students of SMAN 18 Makassar in the 2021/2022 academic year. The samples was numbered 20 students from class XI IPS 1. The data were obtained from the listening test. The results of the study using inferential analysis of t-test by SPSS v.16 application. After analyzing data, the writer concluded that using of Recorded CNN News as learning media can increase students’ listening skill. It can be proved by the average score based on students’ pre-test and post-test. The mean score of the students’ listening increased from 39.90 in pre-test to 83.30 in the post-test. This fact shows that the hypothesis H₁ is accepted and of course the hypothesis H₀ is rejected. It’s mean that Recorded CNN News can increase students’ listening skill at eleventh grade of SMA Negeri 18 Makassar.

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect and response of students to the application of the map strategy character on the reading comprehension ability of class IX UPT SPF SMPN 17 Makassar. This research applied a pre-experimental research in one class pre-test and post-test. The population of this research is class IX students of SMPN 17 Makassar in the academic year 2021/2022 which consists of 165 students. The researcher took one class as a sample in this study namely class IX which consisted of 33 students. The instrument of this research is a multiple choice test. The results of this study indicated that there is a significant increase in the average score of students' reading comprehension between the pretest and posttest. The mean score of students' reading comprehension increased from 64.24 in pre-test to 79.63 in post-test. This shows that by using the character map strategy the students' reading comprehension ability increases. So this shows that the hypothesis H_1 is accepted and of course the hypothesis H_0 is rejected. The researcher concludes that the effect of using character strategy as a teaching strategy in learning English improves students' understanding ability.

The objective to find out the effect of using context clues in in enhancing students vocabulary building through reading text at SMPN 52 Makassar.The writer used instrument; it is a reading and vocabulary test that given (pre-test and post-test). The pre-test was used to find out data about the recognition and understanding of students’ vocabulary before implementing the context clues strategy and the post-test was carried out to find out data about the introduction and understanding of students' vocabulary after implementing the context clues strategy. The method used in this study is a pre-experiment using one class. The population in this study were all students of class VIII-DSMPN 52 Makassar, totally 28 students, so the writer took a purposive sampling technique. In addition, to analyse the data, writer used SPSS 21. The results showed that the increase in students' vocabulary recognition increased on all indicators of word recognition, such as identifying clues in multiple choice (69.23% progress) and finding word meanings (43.02% progress). The results of this study finally showed that the students' vocabulary understanding was 53.00 for their pre-test and 81.64 for their post-test. This fact shows that the students’ score in the post-test is higher than the pre-test score. It can be concluded that vocabulary learning with the context clues strategy was effective in improving vocabulary VIII-D SMPN 52 Makassar.

The objective of the research was to find out whether or not the use of E-Learning through Cisco Webex Meeting application enhance students’ writing skill at grade XII SMAN 18 Makassar. This research used an pre-experimental method. This research conducted in three steps such as pre-test, treatment, and post-test. The sample of this research is class IPA XII IPA 2 membered 27 students. Data colleting by using pre-test and post-test. After analyzing the data, the writer concluded that the use of the cisco webex meeting application in teaching English could enhance students’ writing of grade XII IPA 2 SMAN 18 Makassar it was proved with the mean score of the students in the pre-test was 52,96 and the post-test was 76,67. The calculated significance value is 0.000 less than 0.05 (P-value = 0.000 < 0.05). If the significance is less then 0,05 so, this research hypothesis is accepted. Thus the use of Cisco Webex application as a learning media can enhance students' writing skill at SMAN 18 Makassar.
