Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of using the Quizizzz application as a digital-based learning medium to enhance students' technological literacy at MI Asy-Syifa. The research is motivated by the growing importance of digital literacy in the technology-driven era, particularly in supporting the Merdeka Curriculum, which emphasizes flexibility and the integration of technology in education. A qualitative method was employed, utilizing training sessions that included lectures, demonstrations, and Q&A, involving 39 third-grade students. The findings indicate that Quizizzz enhances student motivation through gamification, though challenges such as limited technological infrastructure and students' low initial understanding were observed. The training successfully introduced Quizizzz features and educated students on the ethical use of technology. The study concludes that Quizizzz has significant potential as an interactive and engaging learning assessment tool, but continuous training and infrastructure support are needed for optimal implementation. This initiative also contributes to the application of the Merdeka Curriculum by leveraging technology to create a more dynamic and effective learning process.

Abstract

In 2024, Bengkulu Province recorded the highest prevalence of early marriage in Sumatra, reaching 21.1%. This issue is particularly pressing in Pagar Dewa Subdistrict, Selebar District, Bengkulu City. This study aims to analyze the role of Islamic family law counseling in enhancing legal awareness among adolescents as a preventive measure against early marriage. The counseling activities were carried out by students participating in the KKN MBKM (Independent Campus) program from the Islamic Family Law Department, Faculty of Sharia, UIN Fatmawati Sukarno Bengkulu. This research employs a qualitative method with a case study approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, focus group discussions (FGDs), and participatory observation. Participants were selected purposively, focusing on adolescents aged 13–19 from diverse socio-economic backgrounds. The findings indicate that legal counseling based on religious values and effective communication significantly improved adolescents' understanding of the negative impacts of early marriage. This improvement was evident from increased post-test scores compared to pre-test results, along with high engagement in group discussions. The use of interactive learning media proved effective in fostering critical awareness among adolescents regarding the importance of education and reproductive health as foundations for their future.

Abstract

The phenomenon of early marriage in Indonesia, particularly in Bengkulu City, remains a complex social issue with significant negative impacts on reproductive health, education, and socio-economic welfare. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of sexual and reproductive health education programs as an effort to prevent early marriage among students at SMA Negeri 3 Bengkulu City, Selebar District. The research employed participatory action research using a mixed-methods approach, combining pre-test and post-test assessments, in-depth interviews, focus group discussions (FGD), and field observations. The program involved 60 eleventh-grade students as the primary participants. Results indicated a significant improvement in students’ knowledge of reproductive health, increasing from an average score of 63.5 to 87.2; a positive shift in attitudes toward continuing education, with 85.5% of students expressing a desire to complete higher education before marriage; and a comprehensive understanding of the risks of early marriage, as 91.2% of students could identify at least five negative consequences. Support from various stakeholders, including the school, religious leaders, and parents, was a critical factor in the program’s success. The study recommends integrating reproductive health education into the school curriculum and strengthening the roles of families and religious institutions in fostering a holistic understanding of marriage, aligned with Islamic legal principles and reproductive health perspectives.

Abstract

Early marriage in Pagar Dewa Village, Selebar District, Bengkulu City is still rampant and has long-term impacts ranging from hampered education, health risks, psychological pressure, to increased poverty and divorce, especially for girls. To overcome this problem, community service uses a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach which involves counseling and guidance on early marriage prevention. Before the early marriage prevention service was carried out, only 31% of participants had knowledge about the impact of early marriage, but after the education series the number increased to 92%, showing a significant increase in understanding, the ability to make independent decisions, and the mastery of reproductive rights and life skills. These results confirm that an interdisciplinary approach that integrates aspects of health, education, religion, and psychosocial empowerment effectively provides sustainable solutions to prevent early marriage and improve the quality of the young generation in Bengkulu Province.

Abstract

This community service program aims to empower the residents of Sumur Dewa Village, Selebar Subdistrict, Bengkulu City in producing traditional jamu, particularly jamu pegal linu, as an immune-boosting drink based on local potential. The program was initiated in response to the declining interest among younger generations in traditional herbal medicine due to perceptions of its bitter taste and lack of visual appeal. To address these issues, the program adopted the Participatory Action Research (PAR) method, actively involving the community in every stage of the program—from planning and implementation to evaluation. The activities included education on the benefits of jamu and local herbal plants, training in the hygienic preparation of jamu pegal linu, attractive label and packaging design, and product marketing strategies. The results showed increased community knowledge and skills in formulating and packaging traditional jamu, along with growing interest in developing herbal businesses as an alternative source of income. This program contributes not only to the preservation of local wisdom but also to improving public health and economic well-being.

Abstract

The goal of this community service project is to strengthen UMKM's capacity to use digital marketing tactics, particularly social media, to boost sales. In the past, the traditional herbal medicine UMKM "Sari Minuman" lacked the knowledge and expertise to use digital platforms, which is the activity's aim. UMKM have gained expertise and experience in setting up business accounts, handling content, and utilizing digital marketing tools on Instagram and WhatsApp Business through the phases of observation, interviews, training, and hands-on support. The activity's outcomes demonstrated a notable rise in consumer interaction, market reach, and promotional activities. This exercise demonstrates how UMKM's professionalism and competitiveness in the digital age can be enhanced by a methodical approach to digital marketing support.

Abstract

This study explores the impact of a mosque-friendly Arabic language learning approach through songs and vocabulary at Masjid Al-Hidayah Pagar Dewa. The research aims to identify how integrating music and contextual vocabulary within the mosque environment enhances learners’ motivation, comprehension, and practical use of Arabic. Utilizing qualitative methods, including observations, interviews, and surveys with mosque attendees, the findings reveal that this innovative approach fosters a more engaging and supportive atmosphere for language acquisition. The study concludes that incorporating culturally relevant and enjoyable learning tools, such as songs and thematic vocabulary, effectively promotes active Arabic language use in religious settings, contributing to both linguistic proficiency and spiritual enrichment.

Abstract

UMKM “Sari Minuman” is a local business that produces various types of traditional herbal medicine such as turmeric, tamarind turmeric, beras kencur, and pegal linu. Although it has quality products and is beneficial for health, this UMKM faces challenges in the visual aspect of the product, especially the packaging design which is still plain and does not have a strong brand identity. This community service aims to increase the competitiveness and selling value of the product through the development of attractive packaging designs using the Canva application. The activity methods include observation, planning, graphic design training, and direct assistance in the field. The results of this activity show an increase in the understanding of UMKM actors regarding the importance of visual identity and the ability to use digital design tools independently. This initiative is expected to strengthen product branding and increase the appeal to consumers of traditional herbal medicine.

Abstract

Stunting remains a chronic nutritional issue and a major public health concern, including in Klaten Regency, Central Java. Klaten Tengah District has a high stunting prevalence, partly due to limited nutritional knowledge among pregnant women. This community engagement aimed to enhance their understanding of pregnancy nutrition through multimedia-based education. A descriptive quantitative method with a pretest-posttest design was applied to 20 pregnant women at Klaten Tengah Public Health Center. The intervention involved an educational video and discussion session. Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test showed a significant increase in knowledge scores from 78 to 98 (p = 0.0002). The results indicate that multimedia education effectively improves pregnant women’s knowledge of nutritional needs, supporting its use as a community-level strategy to prevent stunting.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the challenges faced by law students in conducting legal research and writing academic papers, as well as to evaluate the effectiveness of artificial intelligence (AI)-based technical guidance in addressing these challenges. The research employs a normative and empirical juridical approach, with data collected through questionnaires distributed to participants of the technical guidance and literature studies. The findings reveal that most students struggle to determine research topics, formulate problems, select relevant theories, and construct logical frameworks. However, after participating in AI-based technical guidance, their understanding and skills in legal academic writing improved significantly. AI, particularly ChatGPT, proved to be an effective tool for accelerating the writing process, formulating legal arguments, and exploring references. Nonetheless, AI usage must be carried out responsibly, considering academic ethics, paraphrasing skills, and a strong grasp of legal research methodology. These findings highlight the need for AI literacy training and the development of academic policies that govern ethical AI usage in higher education institutions.
