Abstract

This community service activity aims to improve students’ understanding of mental health through psychoeducational interventions. The participants were eleventh-grade students of SMA Al-Islam 1 Surakarta. The method employed was a quasi-experimental design with a pretest-posttest group design. The intervention was conducted through interactive mental health counseling supported by posters as visual media. The pre-test results showed an average score of 83.16, while the post-test average increased to 94.71. Thus, there was an improvement of 11.55 points after the intervention. These findings indicate that psychoeducation is effective in enhancing students’ understanding of stress factors, stress management strategies, and the importance of maintaining mental health in daily life.

Abstract

The capacity strengthening program for electric vehicle conversion workshops at SMK Karya Nugraha Boyolali was implemented through a synergistic collaboration model between universities, vocational schools, and industry. This study employed a qualitative descriptive approach with a case study method to evaluate the effectiveness of the six-month program. The findings revealed a significant improvement in participants’ technical competencies, as evidenced by the increase in pre-test and post-test scores, as well as the successful development of a solar photovoltaic (PV)-based electric vehicle charging station prototype. Beyond technical achievements, the program also strengthened multi-stakeholder collaboration and fostered the creation of a micro-scale clean energy ecosystem within the school environment. These results demonstrate that practice-based vocational training combined with strategic collaboration can make a substantial contribution to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly clean energy (SDG 7), industry innovation (SDG 9), and climate change mitigation (SDG 13).

Abstract

This study aims to explore and analyze the implementation of Hajj simulation training as an educational da'wah strategy within the context of Islamic primary education at El-Yamien Elementary School, Semanding, Tuban. The research employs the Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach, which emphasizes active and collaborative participation from all educational stakeholders, including students, teachers, and school administrators, in planning, executing, evaluating, and reflecting upon the training activities. The study was conducted in three cycles, each comprising the stages of planning, action, observation, and reflection. Data were collected through direct observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation of the training sessions. The findings indicate that the Hajj training significantly enhanced students’ cognitive understanding of the rituals and procedural aspects of the Hajj pilgrimage. Furthermore, the training fostered the development of students’ religious character through the internalization of Islamic values such as discipline, social awareness, responsibility, and spirituality. The educational da'wah strategy utilizing experiential learning methods proved to be effective in creating a contextual, meaningful, and transformative learning environment. Consequently, Hajj simulation training can serve as a practical and relevant model of da'wah-oriented education applicable within Islamic studies at the primary school level.

Abstract

Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus is one of the non-communicable diseases whose prevalence continues to increase and is often undetected in the early stages. Low public awareness of risk factors and early symptoms is a serious challenge for prevention efforts. This service activity aims to increase public knowledge and awareness about the early symptoms of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus through health education and early detection. This study aims to determine the role of Education and Early Detection of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus Symptoms as an Effort to Increase Public Health Awareness at the Plaosan District Health Center, Magetan Regency. The method used is the ABCD (Asset-Based Community-driven Development) approach which emphasizes the use of community potential as the main capital in promotive and preventive efforts. The activity was carried out at the Plaosan Health Center, Magetan by involving the community as an audience, providing interactive education and simple examinations as a form of behavior change, under the condition of limited access to adequate health information, with a target degree of increasing public understanding of at least 75% of the initial symptoms of diabetes and the willingness to carry out routine checkups. The results of the activity showed a significant increase in public knowledge, as seen from the increase in the number of participants who were able to mention the early symptoms of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus and the increasing interest in conducting periodic blood sugar level checks. The results of the statistical test showed a significant difference between the pretest and posttest scores (Z = -5.292; p = 0.000), which indicates that education based on the CERDIK approach (Periodic Health Checks, Quitting Cigarette Smoke, Being Physically Active, Eating a Balanced Diet, Getting Enough Rest, and Managing Stress) is effective in increasing public health literacy about diabetes prevention. Thus, the ABCD approach is effectively used in increasing public health awareness, especially in the prevention and early detection of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus.

Abstract

This community service program was implemented in Tenggerwetan Village with the primary objective of improving the entrepreneurial capacity and technical skills of local residents through training in the production and marketing of kripik pisang lumer (creamy banana chips) based on local potential and religious tourism appeal. The activity targeted women’s community groups (PKK) and youth organizations (Karang Taruna) as strategic actors in strengthening the village’s UMKM sector. The training adopted a participatory and practice-oriented approach, combining interactive lectures, live production demonstrations, hands-on practice sessions, and simulations of branding and digital marketing strategies. Participants were introduced to innovative recipes, modern hygienic packaging methods, attractive label design, and online promotional techniques through social media platforms. The outcomes indicated a notable increase in participants’ competencies in both product innovation and business management. Furthermore, the program fostered greater awareness of branding as a tool for market competitiveness and facilitated collaboration between local entrepreneurs and community networks. In the long term, this initiative is expected to strengthen economic independence, create sustainable job opportunities, and enhance the visibility of Tenggerwetan Village as a center for locally based creative industries.

Abstract

This study describes the revitalization and development of educational tourism in Ngerong Cave through the ABCD Community Service Program (KKN) of IAINU Tuban. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, this study outlines Group 4's efforts to revitalize the lesser- known tourist destination. The revitalization focused on physical improvements and strengthening educational values, including the installation of historical boards, information boards about flora and fauna, and tree nameplates. This activity aimed to transform Ngerong Cave from a mere entertainment venue into a sustainable, interactive learning space. In addition, the KKN group held a coloring competition for children as part of the educational tourism promotion, which successfully fostered a love of the environment from an early age. This effort demonstrates effective collaboration between KKN students, Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes), the community, and schools in enhancing tourist appeal and strengthening the identity of Ngerong Cave as an educational, nature-based and cultural destination.

Abstract

Background Primary health care services in Indonesia, through Puskesmas and Posyandu, are crucial for improving community health. However, limitations in access and understanding of available services remain significant challenges. Objective This study aims to optimize health services by developing a flowchart poster for the Integrated Primary Health Service (ILP) at Puskesmas Ngoresan. Methodology The methods employed include educating on the service flow using poster media, along with evaluations using pre-tests and post-tests to measure the knowledge and attitudes of the cadres. Results The results indicate that while there were no significant differences in knowledge and attitude scores before and after the intervention, there was an increase in data distribution. Conclusion This activity is expected to enhance the understanding of both cadres and the community regarding health service procedures, as well as encourage active community involvement in health programs. Clear and informative posters serve as effective tools in supporting the cadres' tasks. With the integration of health services, it is anticipated that services will become more efficient and effective, increasing community awareness of the importance of health monitoring.
