Abstract

Learning independence and learning motivation is very important to student academic achievement. Many efforts have been made to improve student achievement in the Nursing Diploma Study Program at the University of Timor, but the results have not been as expected. This study aims to identify the relationship between learning independence and learning motivation with the academic achievement of students of Unimor Nursing Study Program. The method used is descriptive and correlative with the cross-sectional approach. The sample was Unimor Nursing Diploma Study Program students, recruited by a total sampling of 46 people. The results showed that forty-six students of the Nursing Study Program at the University of Timor completed a questionnaire containing a Liker scale of 1-5 for learning independence and learning motivation. Student academic achievements are obtained from the academic division of the Nursing Diploma Study Program. Pearson Chi-Square analysis at an alpha of 0.05 shows that there is no relationship between learning independence and learning motivation with student academic achievement [p-value> 0.05]. The conclusion is that there is no relationship between learning independence and learning motivation with the academic achievement of students of the University of Timor Nursing Study Program.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the application of problem-based learning to develop the creative thinking skills of PGSD. One of the advantages of the problem-based learning model is being able to train students in using the various concepts, principles, and skills they have learned to solve the problems they are facing. With the application of problem-based learning, the ability to think creatively can develop, because the creative thinking skills observed in this study are in the form of the ability to identify, analyze, solve problems, think logically, and make decisions correctly. Because the results of the verification process show that it is significant. There are many types of creative thinking-based learning models used to address educational problems, but one of the most effective is the problem-based learning model, which requires each child to have a unique set of beliefs and values. Complement one another, enabling teachers to think creatively for each student as they tackle a given problem.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to design a project-based learning model specifically for academic writing in the field of arts and culture in the Scientific Writing course. This research is in the form of learning design research. The design model adopted is a Backward Course Design, the model is designed by positioning the learning outcomes as the starting point for preparing the design. Data analysis was carried out by reviewing teaching material documents and learning model syntax. The design results obtained based on the phases are (1) the real form of learning outcomes in the form of articles in national scientific journals, (2) an evaluation method for assessing process performance and two forms of assessing project results, and (3) an instructional methodology that combines project-based learning syntax, syntax learning academic writing, and lecture syntax for 16 meetings. The resulting learning design is a best practice recommendation to support the teaching of cultural arts academic writing, especially for online learning.

Abstract

The purpose of this writing is to describe the role of school principals in improving teacher pedagogical competence and to explain the factors that inhibit the role of school principals in improving teacher pedagogical competence. The method of writing a literature study uses the approach of reviewing journal articles 16 National and 5 student thesis research results specifically based on ideas and theories about the role of school principals on teacher pedagogic competence and explaining the inhibiting factors in improving teacher competence. Based on the results of a literature study sourced from 10 journal articles and 5 student thesis results, it describes the role of school principals in improving teacher competence in the medium category, while factors the obstacle is the lack of training programs, the participation of training in increasing the competence capacity of teachers. Based on the results of the study, the authors conclude that the school principal has an important role in carrying out the duties and responsibilities attached to him, to improve the quality of teacher pedagogic competence through supervision guidance activities and training to increase the capacity of teachers as learners.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the academic qualifications of basic education teachers and the efforts that can be made in developing teacher professionalism. The method used in this research is ex post facto by taking data without providing accompanying treatment. The data taken is the academic qualifications of basic education teachers which are then used to determine the level of teacher professionalism. The level of basic education that is focused on in this study is the level of PAUD teachers in the Buleleng Regency area. The results of the study were that there were differences in the ability to assess PAUD teachers between groups of teachers who had graduated from PAUD, non-PAUD graduates, and teachers who had not graduated.

Abstract

Elementary schools in Driyorejo Gresiks consist of 11 private elementary schools and 26 public elementary schools. The location of the school is mostly located in rural areas and most teachers are rarely involved in scientific activities carried out by universities, so that the knowledge and understanding of teachers is still not related to learning media or other learning innovations. The results of interviews obtained from several teachers in public and private elementary schools at UPTD Driyorejo, Gresik Regency obtained information that some teachers almost never use blog-based  learning media  because the media does not exist and the ability of teachers to develop it is also lacking. This has an impact on the implementation of learning activities that take place less meaningfully and tend to be rote in nature. The use of blog-based  learning  is expected to increase teacher innovation, motivate, and increase student achievement optimally.  Community service is carried out by conducting training on the implementation of blog-based learning  media.  The training implementation stage is carried out in two sessions.  The first session explained the  blog-based learning media material. Second session of  training iimplementation of blog-based learning media for elementary school teachers in Driyorejo Gresik.

Abstract

This paper aims to describe the role of school accreditation in improving the quality of graduates and inhibiting factors in retaining the quality of graduates. The study used a Literature Review approach by comparing school accreditation data from the accreditation documents of several schools. Based on the results of a literature study from journal articles describing the role of school accreditation in improving the quality component of graduates in the excellent category, the constraint factor is the lack of student filtration, numeracy skills, and teacher competence. Based on the results of the literature review, the author concludes that the role of accreditation in improving the quality of graduates has a vital role in improving the quality of graduates.

Abstract

Emotional autonomy is the ability of young cadets to act independently, take the initiative, overcome obstacles, and effectively manage emotions while engaging in activities. Academic flow is a state experienced by individuals when fully immersed, focused, concentrated, comfortable, and enjoying what they do due to intrinsic motivation. This study examines the relationship between Emotional Autonomy and academic flow theory among cadets at Politeknik Ilmu Pelayaran (PIP) Makassar. The sample consisted of 170 participants selected through random sampling. The quantitative research method used the emotional autonomy scale and the LIS Inventory Flow Academic as measurement tools. Data analysis was conducted using the Product Moment correlation technique with SPSS 24.0 for Windows. The results revealed a correlation coefficient of 0.643 between emotional autonomy and academic flow, with a significance level 0.000 (p<0.01). The findings indicate a positive relationship between emotional autonomy and academic flow. This research provides valuable insights for Cadets in enhancing their emotional autonomy to attain a state of academic flow during lectures and residential activities.

Abstract

Teachers must be creative in presenting learning materials teachers must often use variations in teaching so that students are more enthusiastic in following lessons and to avoid boredom that students may experience. This study aims to determine the effect of variations in teacher teaching methods on the learning motivation of class VII students of SMP Negeri 1 Jeumpa. This research is a quantitative study with a population of 87 students consisting of 44 male and 43 female and the sample selected in this research is 30 students, the sample selection uses probability sampling technique. The data collection technique used is questionnaires and documentation while the analysis technique the data used is descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistical analysis. The results showed that variations in teacher teaching were in the good category with a percentage of 78.22% and student learning motivation in the high category with a percentage of 77.95%. This can be proven by the results of the product-moment correlation analysis of 0.390, which means the level of relationship is in the weak category. It can be concluded that there is a positive and significant influence of variations in teacher teaching methods on the learning motivation of class VII students of SMP Negeri 1 Jeumpa.

Abstract

Excellent education is largely determined by the ability and development of teachers in carrying out each learning task. Therefore, teachers need to have pedagogical competence so that the teaching and learning process can be carried out properly. This study aims to determine the efforts of school principals in improving the pedagogic competence of English teachers at SMPN 1 jeumpa. This study used a descriptive method with data collection techniques in the form of interviews and documentation methods, namely by interviewing school principals, vice principals, English teachers, and student representatives. While the data analysis technique used in this study uses data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. From the results of the analysis, it can be concluded that the efforts of the school principal to improve the pedagogical competence of English teachers at SMPN 1 Jeumpa are carried out in several ways, namely: the school principal always provides training such as workshops, MGMP activities, and provides supervision. of all teachers. The principal also always provides motivation and appreciation to the teachers, and personal communication between the principal and the teacher, while the increase in teacher pedagogical competence at SMPN 1 Jeumpa has been fairly good.
