Abstract

of the constraints affecting the learning outcomes of the IPA in students is the lack of variation of the learning model used, then students end up feeling bored and unenthusiastic so that their learning results are interrupted. The study aims to investigate the influence of the Student-Student Interaction (SSI) learning model on the learning outcomes of V-grade students on the IPA students' eyes, using the comparison of the STAD cooperative learning model. (Student Team Achievement Divisions). This research uses a quantitative approach to experimental design with a quasi-experimental design. The study was conducted with a sample of 61 students divided into two, namely 31 experimental classes using the Student-Student Interaction learning model and 30 control class using the STAD learning model (Studant Team Achievement Divisions) in the academic year 2019/2020 at MIS Hayatul Islamiyah. Based on the results of the study using the hypothesis test and nonparametric test Mann Whitney with a 95% confidence rate showed a Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.044 which means 0.044 < 0.05 so it can be concluded that there is a significant difference to the learning outcome of IPA class V between classes using the learning model SSI (Student-student Interaction) and class using the cooperative learning model STAD type (Student Teams Achievement Divisions).

Abstract

This study explores the utilization and perceptions of emerging technologies in online medical education, with a focus on instructional tools and methods. The purpose is to assess the current landscape of technology integration, understand faculty and student perceptions, and identify potential applications for enhancing teaching effectiveness and promoting gender inclusivity. A quantitative research design was employed, involving a sample of 120 participants from three faculties: Medical, Pharmacy, and Stomatology. Data were collected through a structured online survey questionnaire, designed to gather information on demographics, technology utilization, teaching effectiveness perceptions, integration challenges, and opinions on gender inclusivity. Descriptive statistics were used to analyze quantitative data, while qualitative data from open-ended questions were analyzed thematically. The results indicate a significant utilization of emerging technologies in online medical education, with mobile learning and gamification being the most promising tools for teaching effectiveness. However, challenges such as technical support and resistance to integration were identified. Despite these challenges, participants generally perceived emerging technologies as effective in enhancing learning experiences, with potential for addressing gender disparities in medical education. In conclusion, the findings underscore the importance of leveraging emerging technologies to enrich online medical education, promote gender inclusivity, and enhance teaching effectiveness. Recommendations include providing adequate technical support and professional development for faculty, addressing resistance to technology integration, and further exploring the potential of emerging technologies in medical education.

Abstract

The important role of education is to improve the quality of human resources through effective, efficient and enjoyable learning, so that students are able to absorb information optimally. The media used in learning has not maximized technological developments so that a contextual, creative and collaborative learning experience has not been achieved. This research aims to produce Canva-based audio visual learning media. This type of research uses Research and Development (R&) with the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) development model. The subject of this research is the development of audio visual learning media based on the Canva application for class VII A students, totaling 30 students in one class. The data collection technique used in this research was carried out using an expert questionnaire consisting of material experts, media experts, and a questionnaire sheet on student responses to the learning media being developed. The research results showed that the feasibility of Canva-based audio visual learning media was assessed by one media expert and a material expert. Based on the assessment, the results obtained from material experts were 95% and included in the very feasible category, while those from media experts were 74.30% and included in the feasible category. Overall, media can be used for the learning process.

Abstract

English teachers are required to have the ability to plan, organize, and evaluate English learning effectively. English should also be fun for students because it can be a factor in making them enthusiastic. Ice-breaking is one of the methods used to increase students' interest in learning English. This research aimed to analyze the impact that occur to students after the application of the icebreaker method. This research was conducted using mixed-methods research at SMA Muhammadiyah 5 Makassar in the academic year 2023-2024. This research used 31 samples from class X MIA. The research instruments were questionnaires, note-taking, recording, and interview questions. The results showed that the impacts after the application of the icebreaker method were: increasing students' knowledge; making students more diligent; stimulating creativity; increasing vocabulary; and motivating students. The score of the questionnaire before treatment was 12,89%, and the score of the questionnaire after treatment was 19,01. Thus, it could be argued that students' interest could be increased through the use of ice breaker. This research can be useful for English teachers to improve their understanding of students' problems, increase students' interest in learning, identify their problems, and solve their problems in learning English.

Abstract

The current study aims to investigate whether teacher burnout and academic stress hinder the effectiveness of secondary school teachers. To identify the research gap, a systematic review of pertinent literature concerning teacher effectiveness and related variables, including demographic factors, was conducted. The following steps were undertaken: Initially, literature was searched across various platforms such as Google, libraries, and books, resulting in the retrieval of 30 survey research papers from diverse journals. Subsequently, these studies were systematically analyzed and discussed, with findings summarized in a table spanning pages 2 and 3. The systematic review adhered to specific steps to survey the related literature. Firstly, during the planning stage, clear "inclusion and exclusion criteria" were established to systematically identify relevant literature. Secondly, in the review stage, a comprehensive "Summary of the Findings" was meticulously analyzed and discussed following the recording of identified studies in a "Systematic Review Table."

Abstract

Students' attitudes towards language learning have two sides, either motivating or even diminishing their learning enthusiasm. The main objectives of this research are first, to assess students' attitudes in learning descriptive writing in German language; second, to develop an attitude assessment model in writing based on 21st-century competencies. This research adopts an exploratory descriptive approach with a sample of 35 high school students. Data were collected through attitude assessment sheets referring to 21st-century educational competencies, namely critical thinking skills, creativity, communication, and collaboration. Data analysis involved categorizing assessment results using average scores from all respondents. The findings indicate a tendency that most students achieve a good level in critical thinking, creativity, communication, and collaboration aspects in learning to write in German. However, there is still a small portion of students who reach a very good level, indicating a gap in students' abilities. The attitude assessment model developed in this research significantly contributes to teachers in measuring students' progress and helps prepare students to become critical, creative, and inspirational decision-makers in various learning situations and daily life. The use of this attitude assessment model shifts the learning paradigm from emphasizing outcomes to developing students' relevant skills for future demands.

Abstract

Media Learning is an educational instrument to support the learning process. The purpose of this study is to determine the process of developing E-Module media, the feasibility level of E-Module media, and student learning outcomes after applying E-Module media to learning to make body proportion images. This research uses Research and Development (R&D) research with the ADDIE development model. The data collection technique used feasibility validation with 2 media validation experts and 2 material validations as well as tests by students in class X fashion with a total of 36 students. The data analysis technique used is an assessment of media feasibility and student learning outcomes.  The results of the E-Module media feasibility level research on learning to make body proportion images were declared very feasible with a score of 4.25. Student learning outcomes in learning to make body proportion drawings are shown with classical percentages of 97% complete and 3% incomplete. E-Module learning media with very feasible categories can improve student learning outcomes in learning to make body proportion images in class X of SMK Negeri 1 Buduran.
