Abstract

Although cooperative learning strategies provide promise for creating schools that are welcoming to students of all backgrounds, they have not been generally adopted. The Jigsaw system is popular because it is thought to promote students' sociability and learning, and because it seems to be straightforward to apply and follow its four-step teaching framework. A comprehensive assessment of research that has investigated the effects of the Jigsaw method on crucial student educational outcomes was planned and carried out to ensure precise identification of the method's effects. After conducting inductive and deductive topic analyses on 10 Jigsaw studies, three key outcomes emerged: learning (including accomplishment and motivation), social relations, and self-esteem (including academic and social self-esteem). Jigsaw's effects on academic performance (n = 2), motivation (n = 1), social connections (n = 1), and self-perception in the classroom (n = 1) were quantified wherever feasible via supplementary reviews. With the exception of social self-esteem, for which only three studies concluded that the Jigsaw method had positive effects, the primary results of our review focused on the inconsistency of Jigsaw effects and the high degree of variability among studies with regard to all retained student educational outcomes (i.e., achievement, motivation, social relations, and academic self-esteem). Additionally, the findings were consistent across trials. Our analysis sheds light on a number of variables that may account for this variation in research, including sample size, student diversity, and curriculum. The moderating effects of these variables need empirical investigation since they may lead to more effective applications of the Jigsaw technique.

The decline in the moral level of teenagers in Indonesia is a complex problem and requires in-depth understanding from various points of view. Therefore, it is necessary to explore this problem from a Muslim's perspective , to find a solution to the problem, especially from a modern Islamic perspective. As the majority religion in Indonesia, Islam has great potential in providing solutions to overcome the problem of juvenile delinquency. Apart from that, in the context of increasingly rapid globalization and modernization, modern Islam can provide a view that is in line with current developments and technology. Therefore, this research aims to explain the moral degradation of teenagers in the 5.0 era from a modern Islamic perspective, with the hope of providing the right solution to the problems raised.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the flexibility provided by the independent curriculum to educational units to develop school programs that suit local geographic, social and cultural characteristics. Higher education institutions as school partners need to conduct research and develop school programs that are relevant to the wetland environment. This research aims to determine the level of effectiveness of the '‘BANGKIT’' school program which is an acronym for Moral, Religious, Numeracy & Literacy, Environmental Care Movement, Collaboration, Information & Technology which is a reference for developing elementary school level school programs in the wetland environment of South Kalimantan. This research used the Research and Development method, the research subjects were 191 elementary school students in South Kalimantan, Indonesia. The research results show that the '‘BANGKIT’' program has proven to be significantly effective in increasing students' moral, religious, numeracy, literacy, ecological, collaboration and technology mastery competencies in wetland environments. The results of this research are supported by the results of the mean difference test using the paired sample t-test method with the help of SPSS software which shows a significance value that is smaller than 0.05 (0.05>0.000), the t-test value is greater than the t-table (2.337> 0.67667), and the posttest mean score was higher than the pretest (137.15>135.05). The level of increase if calculated using the N-Gain method shows a result of 0.312, which means there is an increase in the moderate category.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the initial conditions, analyze, produce elementary school mathematics learning tools based on project assessment in a wetland environment that are valid and reliable and to determine the effectiveness of primary school mathematics learning tools based on project assessment in a wetland environment simultaneously. The type of R&D research used in this research is the Borg and Gall design model with pre-field, field survey and post-field stages. The results of the assessment of project-based instruments from experts and practitioners in carrying out internal tests received good marks. The project-based comprehensiveness assessment instrument that has been formulated and tested by researchers can be said to have high validity, namely exceeding ≥0.40. The conclusion in this research is that the development of a project-based comprehensive assessment tool model through mathematics learning activities helps teachers provide direct assessments, identify learning objectives, see student progress over time, and describe students' mastery of the material, especially in mathematics learning

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine how the quality of financial learning of accounting students in Bandung City is influenced by locus of control, level of financial independence, and quality of financial learning. This research uses the Behavioral finance theory approach. The type of research chosen is quantitative descriptive method. The data collected for this study came from questionnaires distributed using purposive sampling method. A total of 100 respondents were undergraduate accounting students studying in Bandung in 2018 and 2019. Data analysis methods include multiple linear regression and IBM SPSS version 25. The results showed that the quality of financial learning and financial self-efficacy partially had a significant effect on financial management behavior, while locus of control had no significant effect on financial management behavior. However, simultaneously the quality of financial learning, financial self-efficacy, and locus of control have a significant effect on the financial management behavior of accounting students in Bandung City. It can be concluded that locus of control cannot influence students' financial management behavior without other variables or factors such as the quality of financial learning and financial self-efficacy.
