Abstract

Chili cultivation in dryland areas faces significant challenges, including limited water availability, low soil fertility, and the risk of land degradation. Under such conditions, the efficient use of inputs becomes a critical factor in enhancing both productivity and the sustainability of farming practices. This study aims to examine the influence of production factors on chili yield and to assess the levels of technical, allocative, and economic efficiency among chili farmers in Kelompok Tani Hutan Panderman. A quantitative approach with a descriptive-analytical method was employed. Primary data were gathered through questionnaires administered to 32 farmers selected via a census method and analyzed using multiple linear regression within a Cobb-Douglas production function framework. The results indicate that land area, labor, and farming experience have a significant positive impact on production, whereas excessive use of urea fertilizer and pesticides exerts a negative effect. While technical efficiency was largely achieved, allocative and economic efficiencies remain suboptimal. These findings highlight the importance of optimizing input allocation, adopting water-saving technologies, and implementing balanced fertilization strategies. The study’s implications point toward strengthening agricultural extension services, promoting appropriate technology adoption, and enhancing farmers’ managerial capacities to achieve sustainable productivity and efficiency.

Abstract

This research analysed how monetary policy affects Nigerian economic growth from 1986 until 2023. The study's dependent variable was Gross Fixed Capital Formation (GFCF), which represented economic growth, and its factors were money supply, exchange rate, private sector credit, inflation rate, and GDP. The study examined how money supply, exchange rate, private sector lending, and inflation effect Nigeria's economic development.    The auto regressive distributed lag (ARDL) model estimated that MS, EXCR, CPS, INFR, and GDP did not affect economic development over time. However, monetary policy indicators do not substantially impact Nigerian economic growth. To attract foreign investors, policymakers should keep the exchange rate favourable; the Nigerian government should use its monetary authority to boost the economy now and in the future; and to control inflation and boost economic growth, policymakers should regulate the money supply and exchange rate.

Abstract

The rapid growth of digital commerce has reshaped consumer behavior, highlighting the role of state control, social media interaction (SMI), and user experience (UX) in influencing purchase decisions (PD). This study explores how government policies and regulations on digital platforms influence user engagement and online experiences, influencing purchase behavior. Drawing on institutional theory, the theory of planned behavior (TPB), and the unified theory of acceptance and use of technology (UTAUT2), the study develops and tests a conceptual model linking these factors. Data were collected from a quantitative survey of social media users in Vietnam and then analyzed using structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM). The results show that state control does not directly affect shopping behavior but mainly indirectly through social media interaction and user experience. At the same time, user experience plays the most important role in driving purchase decisions, emphasizing the importance of convenience, trust, and satisfaction when using digital platforms. In terms of practical applications, the study recommends that businesses optimize customer experience through intuitive and personalized digital interfaces based on AI while encouraging participation and interaction on the platform. The government must focus on building a safe digital ecosystem, strengthening the legal framework, and supporting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to participate in e-commerce. This study contributes to the literature by integrating state control as a factor influencing consumer behavior while providing useful, practical suggestions for policymakers and digital marketing strategies.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of Word of Mouth, Store Atmosphere, Location, and Service Quality on purchasing decisions for MSME (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises) products at MM Food Court Tabalong. The research employs a quantitative method using a multiple linear regression analysis approach. Data sources were obtained through questionnaires distributed to 67 respondents, who were visitors to MM Food Court Tabalong. The results show that Word of Mouth, Location, and Service Quality have a significant positive influence on purchasing decisions for MSME products at MM Food Court Tabalong, as indicated by positive regression coefficients. On the other hand, Store Atmosphere did not show a significant effect on purchasing decisions. Based on the analysis, it is found that the combination of these four variables contributes 41.6% to purchasing decisions, while the remaining 59.4% is influenced by other factors not examined in this study. This study suggests that MSME managers at MM Food Court Tabalong should focus more on improving the quality of Word of Mouth, strategic location, and service quality. Meanwhile, efforts on Store Atmosphere should be maintained and preserved to encourage consumers to continue making purchasing decisions.

Abstract

This study examines the relationship between digital currency adoption and monetary policy effectiveness across emerging markets through a comprehensive comparative analysis of twelve countries over the period 2018-2024. Using panel data regression analysis and a mixed-methods approach, we investigate how the proliferation of digital currencies—including cryptocurrencies and central bank digital currencies (CBDCs)—affects traditional monetary policy transmission mechanisms. Our findings reveal significant heterogeneity in the impact of digital currency adoption on monetary policy effectiveness, with countries exhibiting varying degrees of policy transmission disruption. The results indicate that higher levels of digital currency adoption are associated with reduced effectiveness of conventional interest rate policies, particularly in countries with weaker institutional frameworks. However, nations implementing CBDCs demonstrate improved monetary policy transmission compared to those with predominantly decentralized cryptocurrency adoption. The study contributes to the emerging literature on digital finance and monetary policy by providing empirical evidence of the trade-offs between financial innovation and monetary policy autonomy in developing economies. These findings have significant implications for central banks in emerging markets as they navigate the digital transformation of their financial systems while maintaining monetary stability.
