Abstract

Renewable energy in Indonesia has great potential to reduce dependence on fossil fuels and combat climate change. Despite abundant resources such as solar, wind, and biomass, regulatory, infrastructure, and investment challenges still hamper its development. This study uses a qualitative approach to explore the state of renewable energy and its socio-economic impacts. The results and analysis show that renewable energy development can increase energy access, create jobs, and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Collaboration between the government, private sector, and communities is essential for a successful transition. Recommendations include improving policies, increasing investment, and public education to ensure more equitable and sustainable benefits from renewable energy in Indonesia.

Retail business competition is getting tighter, so understanding consumer satisfaction factors is very important. This study aims to determine the effect of product prices and shopping convenience on consumer satisfaction at Al Amin Multimart Store. Competitive product prices and shopping convenience are consumers’ main considerations when determining where to shop. This study uses a quantitative method with a causal associative approach. Data were collected by distributing questionnaires to 110 respondents who are consumers of Al Amin Multimart Store. The data analysis technique used is multiple linear regression to measure the effect of independent variables, namely product prices (X1) and shopping convenience (X2), on the dependent variable, namely consumer satisfaction (Y). The study results indicate that product prices and shopping convenience positively and significantly affect consumer satisfaction. This means that the more competitive the product price is and the more comfortable the shopping experience is, the more consumer satisfaction increases. Therefore, Al Amin Multimart Store is advised to maintain a competitive pricing strategy and improve facilities and services to create a better shopping experience.

Abstract

In the globalization era, increasing product competition compels producers to prioritize consumer needs. Wardah emerges as a cosmetic brand that addresses these demands through its commitment to quality and adherence to halal standards. This study aims to explore the role of Purchase Intention as a mediating variable in the relationship between Celebrity Endorser, Ewom, and Brand Image on Purchase Decision. Employing a quantitative approach with an explanatory research design, the study targeted Wardah cosmetic consumers residing in Bandar Lampung. A purposive sampling technique was applied, involving 100 respondents using a Likert-scale questionnaire. Data analysis was conducted through SEM using SmartPLS 4.0 software. The findings reveal that brand image significantly influences purchase intention, while purchase intention fully mediates its impact on purchase decisions. Conversely, celebrity endorsers and ewom do not significantly affect purchase intention. These results underscore the critical role of enhancing brand image to boost consumer purchasing intentions and decisions. Accordingly, it is recommended that Wardah optimize the use of suitable celebrity endorsers and leverage interactive platforms such as TikTok to reinforce its brand image and drive purchase decisions. Future researchers are encouraged to broaden the scope of variables and incorporate comparative analyses to enrich and extend the applicability of the study's findings.

Abstract

As a developing country with a high level of economic openness, Indonesia is classified as vulnerable to global economic dynamics. This study aims to analyze the response to external shocks, namely the COVID-19 pandemic, the Fed's interest rate increase, and USD/IDR exchange rate fluctuations on Indonesia's macroeconomic indicators, namely Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and Consumer Price Index (CPI), as well as evaluate the government's fiscal policy in responding to these pressures during the 2013–2023 period. The research used secondary data for the quarter 2013:Q1 and 2023:Q4, with as many as 44 observations of each variable, using the Vector Error Correction Model (VECM) method. The results of the estimate show that the USD/IDR exchange rate and the Fed's interest rate have a significant long-term relationship with Indonesia's real GDP and CPI. Throughout the research period, the government responded through various fiscal policies such as fuel subsidy adjustments (2013–2014), strengthening infrastructure and tax reform (2015–2019), large stimulus through the PEN program during the pandemic (2020–2022), and returning to fiscal discipline in 2023 with a focus on social protection, human resource development, and industrial downstreaming. These findings underscore the importance of adaptive fiscal policies in mitigating the impact of external shocks on the domestic economy.
