Conference on Community Engagement Project -Community service is one of pillars in Three Pillars of Higher Education. Community service is the implementation of practice of science, technology, and arts to the society institutionally through research methodology as the implementation of Three Pillars of Higher Education and responsibility to improve the ability of society. Therefore, it can accelerate the growth rate of the national development goals. To support the practice of community service, UIB Research and Community Service Center organize a Conference on Community Engagement Project (ConCEPt) that is attended by lecturers and students from both domestic and overseas universities. This conference is expected to significantly spread impact the results of community service that are directly implemented to society and spread information about science, technology, and arts to society.

Abstract

This community service program aims to design and implement an accounting recording system in one of the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) which is still constrained by the process of recording transactions and accounting reporting. The object of this program is the Toko Batam Expo which is engaged in furniture. Toko Batam Expo has been operating for 10 years but does not have an accurate and detailed recording system. The unavailability of accurate financial information related to their business makes it difficult for store owners to make decisions about developing their business. Methods of data collection using interviews, observation, design and implementation. The result of community service is the creation of a simple and easily accessible accounting system to meet the needs and conditions of the Toko Batam Expo. The system is designed using Microsoft Access where business owners can enter transactions through forms and can easily access financial reports including statements of financial position and income statements. For further research, it is recommended to be able to understand the characteristics of the research object well so as to be able to produce innovations and solutions that are more useful for other MSMEs.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to measure the effectiveness of digital marketing strategy that applied to a mobile shop SME in Batam. The SME had never used digital marketing before, but interested to try after the Covid-19 pandemic affected their sales. The method used in this study involved observation, interview, literature study, and documentation study. The output of the study including: social media account for business on Instagram, Tokopedia account, promotion video, and influencer marketing. This result shows that the uses of social media and influencer marketing actively affected the sales on SME, but the effectiveness of e-commerce marketing was not proven in this study. Thus, we would recommend doing more research on e-commerce marketing effectiveness to increase the sales in related business.

Abstract

PT Karya Mura Niaga is a company engaged in trading computer equipment that was founded in July 2018 and officially operated since January 2019. PT Karya Mura Niaga is a relatively new company, thus the company still does not have a well-established accounting system and relies on the use Microsoft Excel to manually record transactions. The purpose of this project was to develop and design an accurate and reliable accounting record system that can be implemented by PT Karya Mura Niaga to record transactions in accordance with Standar Akuntansi Keuangan Entitas Tanpa Akuntabilitas Publik (SAK-ETAP) and the currently enforced regulations by utilizing Microsoft Office Access. The implementation method was done by conducting interviews, observations, documentations, system design and simulation of the system implementation in the company for a duration of three months, starting from 1st September until 31th December 2021. The results of the implementation of this system are personalized recording system for the company, easier, faster and more accurate preparation of financial statements, ease in decision making, more accurate stock reporting and due-date reporting. This system is simple and can be applied in small entities company. For future projects, the system features can be improved and increased in complexity than that in this project, thus it can be implemented by larger companies.

Abstract

Pengabdian ini dilaksanakan dengan tujuan untuk merancang dan menyusun suatu format Tinjauan Hukum (Legal Review) yang akan disampaikan oleh Indra Raharja & Partners Lawyers kepada klien yang cukup disebut sebagai PT ABC, yang mana format Tinjauan Hukum (Legal Review) demikian dapat juga dipergunakan oleh Indra Raharja & Partners Lawyers sebagai template di masa yang akan datang. Dasar hukum yang menjadi acuan utama penyusunan Tinjauan Hukum (Legal Review) dalam pengabdian ini ialah Undang-undang Republik Indonesia Nomor 18 Tahun 2003 Tentang Advokat, Kode Etik Advokat Indonesia, dan juga kaidah-kaidah yang ada dalam dunia advokat. Jenis penelitian hukum yang dipergunakan ialah penelitian hukum normatif-empiris, dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi, dan studi dokumen.

Abstract

Buying and wearing used clothes is still considered taboo and embarrassing by many people in Indonesia. However, a new phenomenon has emerged, namely the current thrifting trend. Thrifting means hunting for used clothes. Thrifting activities aim to support the sustainable fashion movement that emphasizes environmental and human values. Thrifting motivation is driven by the desire to save money, look unique and different, and care about the environment. Thrifting in society is not just a dress activity but also a desire to take part in saving the earth and reducing waste. The concept of Ngethrift's business is to reuse clothes that are no longer used to become something of value, by reselling or donating to those who need it more so that it has business value and social value. This business is a place to accommodate used clothes from the community which will then be distributed to be donated or modified into something that can be a selling point. Ngethrift is a thrifting business located in Sambas which sells it offline and has not yet started doing online-based business. Ngethrift currently needs to make a breakthrough to survive in today's digital era.

Abstract

Mengatasi permasalahan pencatatan akuntansi pada YS Boutique adalah tujuan dari pengabdian masyarakat ini. Permasalahan pencatatan akuntansi timbul diakibatkan YS Boutique tidak memiliki sistem pencatatan akuntansi untuk pencatatan transaksi dan dilakukan secara manual sehingga hasil yang dikeluarkan tidak akurat dan tidak efisien. Pengabdian masyarakat dilakukan selama 1 November 2020 Hingga 12 Februari 2021 dengan Teknik pengumpulan data wawancara dan observasi. Luaran pengabdian masyarakat ini menghasilkan sistem pencatatan akuntansi berbasis web yang dapat mengisi setiap pembelian dan penjualan serta jurnal untuk transaksi biaya-biaya perbulan yang dikeluarkan oleh YS Boutique hingga pelaporan keuangan berupa laporan laba rugi dan laporan posisi keuangan neraca. Setelah sistem dirancang dan diimplementasi, YS boutique dapat menghasilkan laporan yang akurat dan efisien. Sistem pencatatan akuntansi untuk kegiatan PKM selanjutnya disarankan untuk menambahkan laporan keuangan berupa laporan perubahan modal dan laporan arus kas sehingga sistem pencatatan akuntansi dapat menghasilkan laporan keuangan yang lebih lengkap.

Abstract

Mie Meletup is a business that is engaged in the culinary field which is an MSME (micro, small and medium enterprise). The business was established in 2021. A business formed mainly in the culinary field has a fairly high competitiveness. Legal protection for a trademark is needed to provide legal protection for the brand from actions that can be detrimental. Trademark rights are exclusive rights owned by a business in the form of a symbol or logo that is a special feature of a trademark or service that has been registered with the Director General of Intellectual Property Rights and has been ratified. Legal protection regarding Mark rights is regulated in Law Number 15 of 2001 concerning Marks. Brand rights are exclusive rights granted to trademark registrants that have been registered and protected by the Director General of Intellectual Property Rights. The purpose of brand protection is to prevent plagiarism of the brand. Data collection in this Student creativity program activity is using primary and secondary data collection. The output design process in the implementation of this Student creativity program activity begins with observations made to obtain location information, partner data, and problems that are being experienced by partners.

Abstract

Aprila Indonesia is a non-formal and informal educational institution engaged in community education courses and competency training which was founded in 2009. In a company, one of which is the Aprila Institute, it is important to have standards in company operations and it is also important to continue updating SOP (Standard Operating Procedures). Existing procedures are in line with changing circumstances so that there are no gaps between ongoing activities and existing SOPs, and the HRM SOPs used should be relevant and appropriate considering that SOPs are used daily. Therefore, this PkM (Community Service) activity aims to design HRM SOPs that are relevant to the Aprila Training Institute. In carrying out this PkM activity using the method of observation and interviews with the owners and employees of the Aprila Training Institute. The results of this activity are draft SOPs that can be used by the Aprila Institute, including draft SOPs for recruitment and selection of instructors, official travel, employee salaries, leave and employee permits, as well as employee training and development. Future research is expected to implement HRM SOP design in other companies engaged in goods or production.

Abstract

Since the issues of Ministry of Education and Culture’s Circular Letter Number 4 of 2020 concerning Implementation of Education Policies in the Emergency of the Spread of Corona Virus Disease (Covid-19) in March 2020, which was later strengthened by General Secretary’s Circular Letter Number 15 of 2020 concerning Guidelines for Implementing Learning from Home during the Spread of Corona Virus Disease (Covid-19), schools and campuses have begun to close and carry out the teaching and learning process from their respective homes. Online learning is a learning system without face-to-face directly between teachers and students, but online using the internet network (Asmuni, 2020). The sudden change in the learning system from offline to online certainly makes most teachers need to prepare learning media in the form of digital teaching materials, no exception for the 11th grade computerized accounting subject’s teacher in Vocational High School Number 1 Tanjungpinang. Through this community service program, it is hoped that it can help the teacher in enriching digital teaching materials to support online learning. Digital teaching materials use qualitative data sourced from primary data. Primary data is obtained through interviews with the teacher. Not only through interview techniques, data collection also through content analysis techniques to compare the suitability of outputs with basic competencies prevailing in schools. The design of digital teaching materials was carried out from October to December 2020 resulting in two outputs, modules and videos. Module contains questions for transactions during one accounting cycle, each for service and trading companies. The video is in the form of a tutorial video for solving the module questions that have been made. Recommendations for the next person in designing teaching material is it can provide even more variations, not just modules and videos, and also expand the sources for reference in designing digital teaching material.

Abstract

Pendidikan menjadi bidang yang sangat penting untuk masyarakat, namun kondisi dimana terjadinya pandemi Covid-19 yang mengharuskan aktivitas masyarakat mulai dilakukan di rumah atau istilah Work from home (WFH) mengakibatkan timbulnya permasalahan dalam belajar. Aktivitas yang sangat terpengaruh adalah pada proses pembelajaran secara daring di SMK Harmoni Batam, contohnya para siswa kesulitan dalam memahami materi dan membutuhkan bahan ajar digital untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar. Program pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberikan solusi terkait permasalahan tersebut dengan menghasilkan produk berupa modul, power point dan video pembelajaran untuk mata pelajaran administrasi pajak untuk siswa kelas XI dan XII Akuntansi SMK Harmoni Batam. Penyusunan bahan ajar menggunakan data dari hasil wawancara dan observasi dengan pihak sekolah. Hasil implementasi memberikan dampak yang baik bagi sekolah karena membantu dalam memberikan pemahaman materi, dan pihak sekolah tetap menggunakan bahan ajar ini sampai dengan semester berikutnya.
