Conference on Community Engagement Project -Community service is one of pillars in Three Pillars of Higher Education. Community service is the implementation of practice of science, technology, and arts to the society institutionally through research methodology as the implementation of Three Pillars of Higher Education and responsibility to improve the ability of society. Therefore, it can accelerate the growth rate of the national development goals. To support the practice of community service, UIB Research and Community Service Center organize a Conference on Community Engagement Project (ConCEPt) that is attended by lecturers and students from both domestic and overseas universities. This conference is expected to significantly spread impact the results of community service that are directly implemented to society and spread information about science, technology, and arts to society.

Abstract

Since the outbreak of the pandemic caused by the COVID-19 virus in Indonesia, many aspects have been affected, one of which is in the field of education. With the virus, the government is setting up distance learning activities or online. This problem causes a lack of digital teaching materials owned by the school. So researchers designed digital financial accounting teaching materials at private vocational schools in Batam City during the covid-19 pandemic. The digital teaching materials that the researchers made were financial accounting modules and power point. With the hope that the resulting teaching materials are able to assist teachers in carrying out the teaching and learning process, and make it easier for students to understand the material presented. Digital teaching materials will be implemented by the school and evaluation of the assessment of teaching materials will receive positive feedback so that they are suitable for use.

Abstract

Belakang Padang is one of the islands located in Batam City hinterland area. It is known as “Pulau Penawar Rindu” and has become one of tourism interest in Batam City. Even though it has become a tourism interest, Belakang Padang island lacks a map for tourist navigation. This community service aim to help Belakang Padang island by making a map based on data elevation model (DEM). By using ArcGIS as the data processing, a navigation map is created as a tourism property. The map contains the basic information of the island such as transportation route, geographical element, and place of interest. Future project can be done by expanding the information provided by the map.

Abstract

Information about a company is an important point of any business. Interest and decisions in business cooperation begin with knowing information about the company to work with. One of these information can be known through a company profile. UIB collaborate with CV. Jocaidy Pelita Cemerlang (JPC) in compiling a company profile company that serves scale problems in Batam City. The cooperation begins with an agreement in the form of a MoA and MoU between the UIB and CV. Jocaidy Pelita Cemerlang. The preparation of the company profile is carried out by collecting information and observing the company, then continued with the preparation with the help of the Canva application. The result of this collaboration is in the form of a company profile that provides information about JPC. It is hoped that this project can be useful for JPC and become an inspiration for other companies to develop their business.

Abstract

Mama Kitchen is a business in the form of food stand that sells various kinds of food. Until now, Mama Kitchen does not have an accounting system. Mama Kitchen are still using manual recording methods. The purpose of this work is to make accounting records easier for the owner. The research was done by interviewing the owner and employees, and direct survey to location in order to know clearly about their daily activities. System will be designed according to Mama Kitchen’s needs. The result of implementation of this research is an accounting system that can produce financial reports. By having a system, owner can easily see the business profits accurately and ease owners in making decision about their business.

Abstract

In the preparation of drafting this practical work activity report aims to assist the promotion process at Santaria restaurants in attracting the attention of the general public and strengthening branding to increase sales of Santaria restaurants. In the application of this promotional mix using interview, observation, and survey methods. The implementation implemented is a promotional mix design in the form of advertising in the form of distributing brochures and printing food menus in the form of stickers and books, digital marketing in the form of creating a Facebook account which is made with the aim of being better known by the wider Batam community. Implementation results designed for restaurants are paying off by increasing customers and sales. In this study indicates that the application of the promotional mix designed by the author can be applied properly by the Santaria restaurant.

Abstract

The accounting conventional method is still applied by Depot Air Galon Yoyo. The Microsoft Access-based Accounting System designated for Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) is a form of community service to help overcome the problems experienced by SMEs in recording or keeping accounting records from the conventional system to software-based accounting. The conventional bookkeeping system can cause inefficiency in time for preparing the financial statements, and do not meet the faithful representation’s criteria. Data for the purpose of designing Microsoft Access-based accounting system were obtained through interview with SME’s owner, and field observation. The outputs generated from the accounting application are bookkeeping administration, and reports. The output of bookkeeping administration includes a list of accounts, a list of suppliers, a list of customers, a list of supplies, a general journal form, a purchase form, a sales form, an inventory adjustment form, and a payable payment form. Output reports include income statements, balance sheets, sales reports, purchase reports, remaining inventory reports, remaining accounts payable reports, statements of changes in capital, and financial position. Relational database can be formed with the output of bookkeeping administration and report output that are interconnected. Thus, the implementation of accounting system helps SME in mitigating errors in recording the amount of inventory, reducing the occurrence of errors in payment of debts by SME to suppliers, and save more time in completing SME’s financial reports so that SME owners can quickly make the right decisions for their business to grow.

Abstract

Mas Bro Barbershop merupakan sebuah usaha yang bergerak di bidang jasa yaitu pangkas rambut yang berlokasi di Ruko Cahaya Garden Blok A No.18 dan Lovina Inn Penuin Center Blok A No.03, Batam. Mas Bro Barbershop terpilih sebagai mitra dalam pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat (PKM). Mas Bro Barbershop cenderung menghadapi permasalahan dalam pencatatan dan pembukuan sehingga menghasilkan kualitas laporan keuangan yang tidak sesuai dengan standar yang berlaku. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut, solusi yang tepat untuk membantu pemilik usaha yaitu dengan merancang sebuah sistem pencatatan akuntansi yang sederhana, namun cukup tepat dalam menghasilkan laporan keuangan yang handal. Sistem pencatatan akuntansi dirancang menggunakan Microsoft Access dengan menyediakan fitur-fitur sesuai kebutuhan usaha. Laporan keuangan yang dihasilkan berupa laporan posisi keuangan, laporan laba rugi, buku besar, laporan persediaan, laporan hutang dan laporan piutang. Sistem pencatatan akuntansi yang dirancang juga mampu menghasilkan informasi akuntansi yang membantu pemilik usaha dalam mengambil keputusan yang tepat untuk keberlangsungan usaha dalam jangka waktu yang lama

Abstract

The inadequate accounting recording system implemented at Toko Indra is because transactions are recorded manually. That impact the inefficiency and irrelevance of financial reports so that it can lead to inaccuracies and completeness of reports needed for decision-making. This community service aims to create an accounting system using Microsoft Access that scopes include form, bookkeeping system, and financial reporting. The methodology data collection was obtained from observation and interview with the partner. The outputs of the accounting recording system include a list of chart of accounting, suppliers, inventory form, purchases form, sales form, general journal form, income report, and financial position report. The output would guide SMEs in knowing inventory turnover and financial conditions not only cashflows. Therefore, SMEs can make better decision making to increase sales and monitoring the inventory.

Abstract

Kerja praktek ini merupakan suatu proses pembelajaran dan membantu pada proses rekrutmen dan seleksi pada PT. Sumber Alfaria Trijaya, Tbk untuk melaksanakan proses perekrutan dan seleksi calon karyawan. Dalam penelitian penulis menerapkan metode wawancara,observasi, dan dokumntasi. Pada pelaksanaan penelitian terdapat beberapa masalah yaitu berhentinya karyawan tanpa menyelesaikan kontrak kerja yang telah disetujui, kekurangan pramuniaga di outlet alfamart, pelamar tidak menyelesaikan proses seleksi. Untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut penulis memberi masukan dan melakukan diskusi dengan supervisor terkait sistem rekrutmen di perusahaan. Untuk penelitian selanjutnya penulis merekomendasikan kepada peneliti agar lebih lagi dalam bertukar pikiran dengan supervisor untuk memunculkan ide-ide baru yang kreatif dan inovatif pada bagian rekrutmen dan seleksi.

Abstract

LBH is a non-profit legal aid organization established with the aim of providing free legal services (free) to people who need legal assistance but cannot afford it because they are blind or oppressed. Advocates do not have to pay fees, but the client will be responsible for operational costs such as court fees (if the matter is brought to court), if the client is able to pay. LBH, on the other hand, is known to choose matters that will be handled according to its vision and objectives. In handling a case, advocates are required to be able to prepare several documents which are important when a case or case goes to court. There are many documents that must be prepared by a legal expert or advocate to assist clients in resolving a case, especially in civil procedural law, absolute power of attorney. The lack of prudence by the prosecutor opens up opportunities for opponents to make exceptions, and may result in the panel of judges not accepting the lawsuit. Not only in civil procedural law, but also inCriminal procedural law, procedural law for the religious court, procedural law for the state administrative court, procedural law for the Constitutional Court also certainly require a power of attorney or other legal documents, if a client needs and submits the legal assistance to more or other advocate offices.
