Abstract

Deforestation in the Bogor region, including the area surrounding Puraseda Village, Leuwiliang Subdistrict, continues to pose a serious threat to environmental sustainability and the livelihood of communities living near the forest, while also hindering progress toward the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 4 (Quality Education), Goal 13 (Climate Action), and Goal 15 (Life on Land). Low environmental literacy among children is one factor that slows sustainable forest conservation efforts, as children are the next generation who play an important role in preserving nature in the future. This community service program aims to strengthen the environmental literacy of elementary school-age children in Puraseda Village through interactive education on the theme of deforestation, as a concrete contribution to advancing the SDGs agenda at the village level. The implementation method consists of a preparation stage, an educational stage using storytelling, educational games, animated video screenings, question-and-answer sessions, and forest poster coloring, followed by an evaluation using pretest and posttest questionnaires. The results show an improvement in participants' understanding of the causes, impacts, and prevention efforts related to deforestation, as well as high enthusiasm throughout the educational process. This program is expected to serve as an SDGs-based model of environmental education that can be replicated in other villages around the Bogor forest area to foster ecological awareness from an early age while supporting sustainable development at the local level.

Abstract

Pengkol, located within the administrative area of Planggu Village, Trucuk District, Klaten Regency, is a settlement where most residents depend on home-based doormat production, agriculture, and daily wage labor for their livelihoods. Consequently, residents tend to prioritize meeting their daily economic needs over managing the residential environment. This condition has contributed to the limited management of organic kitchen waste generated daily by households. This community service activity aimed to enhance community awareness, particularly among women, of the relationship between environmental conservation and gender equality through an ecofeminist perspective, while introducing Lubang Resapan Biopori (LRB) as a household-based solution for managing organic kitchen waste. The activity was conducted using a non-research approach through four methods: education, socialization, demonstration, and hands-on practice. The program began with a field assessment and coordination with village officials and Organisasi Pemuda Pemudi Pengkol (OPPEL), followed by the dissemination of ecofeminist concepts and a technical demonstration on constructing biopore infiltration holes. The activity concluded with the installation of three pilot biopore infiltration holes together with community members. The results indicated an improvement in participants' understanding of the relationship between gender and environmental issues, increased awareness of the important role of women in household waste management, and the development of residents' technical skills in independently constructing and maintaining biopore infiltration holes. Abstract

The rapid development of computer network technology requires vocational high school (SMK) graduates to possess competencies that align with the needs of business and industry, particularly in the field of router-based network management. One of the networking devices widely used in industry is MikroTik due to its comprehensive features, flexibility, and support for various network configuration requirements. However, based on observations conducted at SMK Sasmita Jaya 2, students of the Computer and Telecommunication Network Engineering (TJKT) program still face challenges in mastering network configuration, especially in operating MikroTik routers, implementing routing concepts, and performing network troubleshooting. This Community Service Program (PKM) aims to improve students’ networking competencies through training and implementation of basic MikroTik router configuration using a hands-on training approach. The implementation method was conducted intensively through three stages: preparation, execution, and evaluation. The training materials covered RouterOS introduction, IP address configuration, basic routing, Network Address Translation (NAT), network connectivity testing, and basic troubleshooting. Evaluation was carried out using pre-test and post-test methods to measure improvements in participants’ understanding and technical skills. The expected outcomes include improving students’ ability to independently configure computer networks, enhancing analytical and problem-solving skills, developing training modules and practical worksheets, and increasing students’ readiness to meet workforce demands in the field of computer networking.

Abstract

Aedes aegypti mosquito is the main vector for Dengue Fever (DHF), a type of disease that remains a significant public health issue in Indonesia. Even though various control efforts have been carried out, cases of this disease continue to be reported every year in changing numbers. One effective control strategy involves fostering community-wide engagement to eliminate mosquito breeding sites through improving environmental cleanliness—an important factor influencing the existence of breeding sites, both inside and outside the home. To achieve these activity objectives, an educational program and information dissemination has been implemented for the community in Candimas Village Natar Region, South Lampung Regency. The results show an increase in knowledge and understanding among the target group namely the residents of Candimas Village as evidenced by an increase in scores from 73.9% in the initial assessment to 87.85% in the final assessment, which represents an average increase of 42.14%.

Abstract

The prevalence of overweight and obesity among children is rising. Childhood obesity rates continue to climb in various countries, including Indonesia. Data from the 2018 Basic Health Research (*Riset Kesehatan Dasar*) indicate that the prevalence of obesity among children aged 5–12 remains significant at 18.8%, comprising 10.8% who are overweight and 8.8% who are obese. Childhood obesity can lead to various health issues, such as diabetes, hypertension, and high cholesterol. The accumulation of body fat triggers numerous health problems—including diabetes, lipid disorders, cardiovascular disease, and cancer—that can diminish an individual's quality of life. Regarding its impact on the cardiovascular system, obesity affects the heart's function in circulating blood throughout the body via blood vessels. The arteries transporting blood from the heart are not merely passive tubes but a network of vessels actively involved in regulating blood flow. Excess weight in children is a particular concern because it carries the potential to lead to health issues typically associated with adults, such as diabetes, hypertension, and high cholesterol. Identifying nutritional status is a crucial step in developing appropriate nutritional interventions for school students. This activity was conducted at an elementary school in Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta, in May 2026.

Abstract

The development of social media has transformed communication patterns and Islamic preaching (da'wah) in the digital era. However, students of As-Sittu Islamic Boarding School in Pandeglang still have limited skills in graphic design and the creation of Islamic digital content. In addition, the utilization of the school's social media platforms for da'wah and publication purposes has not been fully optimized. The Islamic Graphic Design and Creative Content Training Program aims to enhance students' abilities in producing engaging digital da'wah content that aligns with Islamic values. The program includes training in the use of Canva and CapCut, the creation of da'wah posters and videos, social media management, and digital communication ethics. The methods employed consist of lectures, hands-on practice, and mentoring sessions. The expected outcomes are improved student competencies, the establishment of a creative team within the Islamic boarding school, and the production of Islamic creative content that supports digital da'wah and strengthens the institution's presence in the community.

Abstract

The development of information technology, particularly Artificial Intelligence (AI), has significantly influenced various aspects of life, including education. Although its use continues to generate debate among academics, AI has considerable potential to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of learning. This community service activity aimed to provide education and raise awareness regarding the importance of adapting AI technology in learning. The activity focused on introducing the basic concepts, benefits, and appropriate and responsible use of various AI-based tools. This technology can help educators access learning resources more easily, present interactive materials, provide feedback, and analyze students’ needs to support more personalized learning. The availability of mobile devices also enables broader and more flexible access to AI technology. This educational and awareness-raising activity was expected to enhance participants’ understanding, readiness, and awareness in utilizing AI as a learning support tool. Therefore, the responsible adaptation of AI technology can contribute to improving student engagement and the overall quality of the learning process and outcomes.
