Abstract

This community service activity aimed to improve the financial reporting competency of early-stage SME owners in Jayapura through a microlearning-based training approach. A total of 40 participants were selected through online registration. The program was structured in three stages: preparation, implementation, and evaluation. Results indicated a significant increase in participant knowledge: the average pre-test score was 37.8%, rising to 88.5% in the post-test, 50.7 percentage point improvement. The greatest gain was observed in understanding of balance sheet concepts (+65 percentage points). Participants reported heightened confidence in preparing basic financial records independently. The findings confirm that microlearning, which structures content into focused 3–5 minute units, is highly effective for time-constrained SME practitioners. This activity aligns with SDG Goal 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) and Goal 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure)

Abstract

This study analyzes the effectiveness of social marketing-based digital communication assistance in improving the capacity of 32 Jakarta Fire Department employees for disaster preparedness. The method used was participatory through training, social marketing strategy assistance, digital content development, and emergency simulations. Evaluation using questionnaires and observations showed an increase in participant understanding (average educational value of 3.63 on a scale of 4). Participants were able to develop disaster content that was more structured, informative, and in line with digital trends. All respondents (100%) stated that the activity was beneficial. The main challenges were the habit of one-way communication and the minimal use of micro-content (TikTok, Instagram Reels). This model can be replicated by other disaster agencies in Indonesia. Sustainable mentoring and integration of social marketing into the Fire Department's public communication SOP are needed. This study integrates social marketing (4Ps extended mix) with trend-jacking and a humanizing first responder approach in digital disaster communication in local government.

Abstract

The implementation of this community service activity aims to foster the development of an anti-corruption generation by emphasizing the early inculcation of anti-corruption values among students at the elementary and junior high school levels, in order to prevent corrupt practices across various sectors in the future. An interactive outreach approach was conducted through group-based classroom sessions involving 128 students, ranging from Grade 1 elementary school to Grade 9 junior high school at Perguruan Advent Parongpong. The activity was carried out in several stages, including program planning, determination of location and target participants, preparation of educational materials, facilitator training, and evaluation conducted both prior to and following the delivery of materials, particularly for 40 junior high school students.The results indicate an increase in the proportion of students categorized as having very high scores, from 2.5% (1 student) to 72.5% (29 students).

Abstract

This study aims to assess the business feasibility and development strategy of a hydroponic greenhouse operated by the Suryalaya Islamic Boarding School in Tasikmalaya. A descriptive qualitative approach was applied through a single case study design, with data sourced from in-depth interviews, field observations, and a review of financial records for the first production cycle. The analysis includes a classification of cost structures, calculation of Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) using variable costing and full costing methods, evaluation of marketing channels, and formulation of a SWOT-based strategy. Key findings reveal that first-cycle expenditures are heavily dominated by one-time infrastructure investments, while recurring operational costs per cycle are significantly lower. The gap between full cost COGS and the prevailing selling price, primarily caused by amortization expenses in the initial operational phase, is expected to narrow significantly in subsequent cycles as fixed costs are spread over a longer production horizon. The marketing analysis identifies two channels with different price levels, indicating an untapped opportunity in the premium segment

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of operating cash flow, sales volatility, and leverage on earnings persistence in financial sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the 2020–2024 period. Earnings persistence is an important indicator in assessing earnings quality and financial performance stability, particularly in the context of post-pandemic economic dynamics. This research employs a quantitative approach with a causal associative design. The data used are secondary data obtained from annual financial reports published on the official website of the Indonesia Stock Exchange and respective companies. The sample consists of 46 companies selected using purposive sampling. The data are analyzed using panel data regression to examine both partial and simultaneous effects among variables. The results are expected to indicate that operating cash flow, sales volatility, and leverage significantly influence earnings persistence. This study contributes to the development of agency theory and signaling theory and provides practical implications for management, investors, and creditors in financial decision-making.

Abstract

Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) are one of the pillars supporting the Indonesian economy and are able to contribute to Indonesia's Gross Domestic Product (GDP) by 61.07%. This strategic role is what drives the Government to focus on programs to support MSMEs to be more sustainable. One example of a program developed by the Government is the Kurma Independent Women's Business Card Program (KURMA) in Sidoarjo Regency. Many obstacles faced by MSMEs certainly depend on the type of business, location, inadequate understanding of human resources, and minimal financial literacy. Financial literacy is one of the problems of business actors, especially MSMEs. This service focuses on the MSME Women's group who have received the KURMA assistance program. The service method used is Participatory Action Research (PAR), which is an active collaboration between the community and researchers to find program solutions to problems. The results of this service show several positive impacts, including increasing awareness of MSME entrepreneurs of the importance of understanding financial literacy and preparing business financial reports, the mentoring process helps entrepreneurs in preparing financial reports, and providing added value to MSMEs. This service provides a reflection of changes in the development and sustainability of SMEs.

Abstract

This community service program aimed to implement a sensor-based fire early warning system and strengthen the preparedness of staff at Pancalang District Office, Kuningan Regency, through fire mitigation education. The program applied a participatory Community Development approach supported by appropriate technology. Its stages included partner coordination, needs assessment, identification of installation points, system design, device installation, functional testing, mitigation education, emergency drill simulation, training on system operation and maintenance, and joint evaluation with the partner. The results showed that the sensor-based early warning system was successfully installed in a strategic area of the district office and was able to support initial fire detection through sensor responses, alarms, and warning indicators. The applied science and technology design demonstrated the integration of smoke or flame sensors, a microcontroller, and warning outputs, enabling staff to recognize potential hazards more quickly. The education and simulation activities improved staff understanding of fire risks, prevention measures, safety procedures, coordination flow, and initial actions when the alarm is activated. Maintenance training also provided the partner with basic skills to sustain the system after the program..

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze and determine the effect of capital structure and profitability on firm value. This research employed a quantitative descriptive approach. Data were obtained from the annual reports of basic chemical companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) for the 2021-2024 period, using purposive sampling. Data analysis used SPSS Version 26. The results indicate that capital structure and profitability influences firm value.

Abstract

This community service program aims to develop the creative entrepreneurial competence of Dharma Wanita LLDIKTI Region 6 members through decoupage craft training encompassing three dimensions: (1) knowledge of creative business opportunities in the modern era, (2) technical skills in producing decoupage products on woven wallet media, and (3) basic understanding of product packaging and market value. Implementation followed three stages: preparation (partner coordination and module development), execution (socialization, demonstration, and hands-on practice), and evaluation (pre-test/post-test and skill observation). Twenty participants took part in the program. Results showed an improvement in creative entrepreneurship knowledge with an average gain score of 0.68, all participants (100%) successfully completed one decoupage product, 85% produced products of good aesthetic quality, and participants’ confidence to start a business increased from 35% to 90%. These findings indicate that product-based skill training is effective in building the creative entrepreneurship foundation of women and can serve as a sustainable empowerment model within Dharma Wanita organizations.

Abstract

The Community Service Program (PKM) under the Community Partnership Empowerment (BIMA) scheme aims to increase the productivity, managerial capacity, and competitiveness of Berkah Jaya MSMEs in Bulungan Regency, North Kalimantan Province through the integrated application of appropriate technology and strengthening of human resource capacity. The program is implemented through five stages: socialization, training, technology implementation, mentoring and evaluation, and program sustainability. Hard technology in the form of a spice grinder, a meatball printing machine, a 7-liter mixer, and a Rok Presso Smartshot were handed over through BASTA. Soft technology includes digital marketing training, digital financial bookkeeping, and halal certification. The results of the pre-test and post-test evaluations showed a statistically significant increase in knowledge (pre-test M=50.00; post-test M=90.00; Z=−2.014; p=0.022; Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test, one-tailed). All participants successfully created business Instagram accounts and registered their business locations on Google Maps after the training. Production efficiency increased significantly through the use of the meatball printing machine
