Abstract

Poor sleep quality has physiological and psychological consequences, including weakness, elevated blood pressure, decreased activity, diminished endurance, emotional instability, and withdrawal.  Sleep quality can be assessed using the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index questionnaire. Many things can be done to improve sleep quality in the elderly, one of which is back massage combined with VCO (Virgin Coconut Oil). This research aims to determine the effect of back massage using VCO (Virgin Coconut Oil) on sleep quality in the elderly. This is a pre-experimental study with a one-group pre-and post-test design. The sample for this study was drawn using a non-probability sampling technique, namely purposive sampling of 28 senior respondents who reported poor sleep quality. In bivariate analysis, the Wilcoxon signed rank test was employed to compare pretest and posttest scores. Based on the results of data analysis using the Wilcoxon Signed Range Test at a significance level of α = 0.05, a p-value of 0.000 < 0.05 was obtained. This shows that there is an effect of back massage using VCO (Virgin Coconut Oil) on sleep quality in the elderly in Banjar Jambe, Region Area of UPTD Puskesmas Kuta Utara. It is hoped that this research can be used for health services, nursing education and the community to overcome sleep disorders in the elderly.

Abstract

This literature review explores Indonesia's strategies to enhance funding accessibility for AIDS, Tuberculosis, and Malaria (ATM) programs, with a focus on its collaboration with the Global Fund (GF). It outlines the critical role of funding in combating ATM and Indonesia's extensive health diplomacy efforts with the GF. Utilizing a systematic review approach, findings from four studies between 2019 and 2024 were synthesized. Results reveal varied findings, including challenges in TB treatment services during the COVID-19 pandemic, deficiencies in TB Multi Drug Resistant (MDR) control programs, and insights into Indonesia's partnership with the GF. The analysis of HIV/AIDS expenditure highlights a decline in funding, emphasizing the need for advocacy and revised funding mechanisms. In conclusion, Indonesia's efforts in ATM combat through health diplomacy, notably with the GF, are substantial. Diversified funding sources, sustained collaboration, and increased self-sufficiency are crucial for meeting global health targets. Strengthening domestic resources, optimizing program implementation, and fostering partnerships are imperative to ensure equitable access to healthcare services and sustain progress in addressing ATM challenges. Innovative financing mechanisms can bolster initiatives, contributing significantly to achieving Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by 2030.

The influence of digitalization and the rapid development of technology is widely used in all aspects of life in society including in the field of health services. The health center as one of the health service units that spearheads public health services often faces challenges in providing effective and efficient services. The research method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. Based on data from the Medan Tuntungan Health Center, until June 2024 the number of BPJS health membership was 24,309 people. Furthermore, the number of people who registered JKN Mobile Application accounts in May 2024 was 14 people. The effectiveness of JKN mobile at the Tuntungan Health Center based on the results of research with health workers and the community who are also JKN Mobile user patients is still less than optimal in providing training to the field by BPJS officers who are responsible for this.

Abstract

Health issues are an aspect that always receives major attention both nationally and internationally. Currently, the Indonesian government is focusing on the BPJS Health program to achieve the UHC target of 98% in 2024. However, the number of participants recorded at the end of 2023 was 95.88% so it has not yet reached the UHC target. Apart from that, problems also emerged related to the BPJS Health budget deficit caused by participants who were in arrears and did not pay their BPJS Health contributions. Based on BPJS Health data, there was an increase in the number of BPJS participant arrears in August 2023 amounting to 15.73 million coming from the informal worker sector so in this case researchers are interested in analyzing the determinants that influence willingness to pay BPJS contributions in Indonesia. This research uses literature study methods sourced from Google Scholar, PubMed, Connected Paper, and Publish or Perish and several official health sites. This research shows that there are 10 determinants that influence WTP towards BPJS Health contributions, namely, education, knowledge, employment, income, perception, quality of health services. Payment facilities are difficult to access, expenditure on essential and non-essential food, number of family members, and history of illness. The most dominant determinant of WTP for BPJS Health contributions is the income of informal workers where the income earned per month is low or irregular so that informal workers prioritize meeting their daily needs rather than having to pay BPJS Health contributions.
