Abstract

Quality health services are very important to maintain the welfare of the community. The role of Puskesmas has significance in providing health services according to the needs of residents in an area. This research focuses on the Technical Implementation Unit (UPT) of Simalingkar Health Center in Medan. The performance of employees in this unit is a major factor in achieving health service standards. This study used a qualitative approach with a descriptive approach, involving participants from the puskesmas and patients who had received services at the Simalingkar Health Center. Data was collected through in-depth interviews with stakeholders. The results of research at the Simalingkar Puskesmas as a whole, both from the puskesmas and patients, that the performance of employees at the Simalingkar Puskesmas UPT is generally considered good. However, several aspects need to be improved at the Simalingkar Health Center. Such as improving the quality of patient care, communication training among fellow employees, and further evaluation of certain health programs. This recommendation can be used as a basis to continue to improve the quality of health services at the Simalingkar Health Center. It can be the basis for continuing to improve the quality of health services at Puskesmas Simalingkar, focusing on aspects that can have a positive impact on the community. Periodic evaluation of employee performance, patient involvement as the main stakeholder, and implementation of concrete improvements are expected to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of health services at the Simalingkar Health Center.

Abstract

This study highlights outpatient satisfaction with pharmaceutical services at the Malahayati Islamic Hospital in Medan in 2023. Data shows a decrease in outpatient visits of 21.5% in July 2023 at this hospital. The waiting time for taking medication exceeds 60 minutes, and can even reach two to three days, indicating that there is concern about the effectiveness of pharmaceutical services in the Pharmacy Installation. The research aims to analyze the impact of the quality of pharmaceutical installation services on outpatient satisfaction by involving 100 outpatients in quantitative research using a cross-sectional approach in August-September 2023. The results of the analysis show that service quality significantly influences outpatient satisfaction, especially in the dimensions of effective, efficient, timely, patient-focused, fair, safe, and integrated. The most dominant factors are fairness and safety, which significantly influence patient satisfaction. This study recommends improvements in the form of adding pharmacists, better medication planning, providing WiFi services, routine communication training for staff, and completing identity information and telephone numbers in patient medical records. In conclusion, the quality dimensions of pharmaceutical services greatly influence outpatient patient satisfaction, and improvements in fair and safe aspects can increase patient satisfaction.

Abstract

This study analyzes the impact of outpatient health services on the satisfaction of BPJS Health participants at the Huraba Community Health Center, East Angkola District in 2023. Factors including responsiveness, reliability, guarantee, care, and physical evidence of service are explored to determine their influence on patient satisfaction. The research method used is quantitative with a cross sectional study approach. Primary data was collected through questionnaires distributed to patients, while secondary and tertiary data were obtained from documentation and trusted sources. The results of the analysis show that the aspects of responsiveness, reliability, assurance and caring have a significant influence on patient satisfaction, while physical evidence does not show a strong correlation.

Abstract

Analysis of consumer behavior in health services is crucial in securing a company's sustainability. Amid intense competition, consumer perceptions about the quality of service at hospitals greatly influence their visiting decisions. This research focuses on the case study of Nur'aini General Hospital, which experienced a decline in patient visits from 2013 to 2016. The research method used a survey with 79 respondents from inpatients. The results show that the majority of respondents are adults, have secondary education, and most are women. Data is described in various variables such as service products, rates, service places, promotions, people involved, service processes, and physical facilities. The results of this research can help RSU Nur'aini improve marketing and service strategies to overcome the decline in the number of patient visits.

Abstract

Community Health Centers (Puskesmas) have a primary role in providing first-level health services with a focus on promotive and preventive efforts. The main goal is to achieve optimal levels of public health by establishing health regulations. Patient satisfaction is an important focus in assessing the quality of health services. However, there are challenges such as the transfer of participants to other health facilities outside the Community Health Center which can affect services there. This study aims to explore the factors that influence the quality of specialist services and their impact on patient satisfaction at the Labuhan Haji Community Health Center in 2023.

Abstract

Work posture is the posture of the body at the time of work. Different work attitudes will produce different strengths. When working, postures are designed to occur naturally, thereby reducing musculoskeletal injuries. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between work posture and the risk of carpal tunnel syndrome in openwork craftsmen in Mongolato Village, the type of research is quantitative with a cross-sectional approach, a population of 84 openwork craftsmen in Mongolato Village, a sample of 45 openwork craftsmen, which was determined by purposive sampling techniques, the statistical test used was Chi-Square, The research instrument is a questionnaire. The results showed that the work posture of the craftsmen could trigger the risk of carpal tunnel syndrome events and the results of chi-square analysis obtained p-value = 0.007>0.05. Based on the results of the analysis of 45 filigree craftsmen, it is known that craftsmen who have a work posture in the medium risk category totaled 27 respondents, with 20 respondents experiencing moderate carpal tunnel syndrome and 7 respondents experiencing high carpal tunnel syndrome. For craftsmen who have a high-risk work posture, there are 18 respondents, namely 6  respondents with moderate carpal tunnel syndrome and 12 respondents with high carpal tunnel syndrome. This study concludes that there is a relationship between work posture and the risk of carpal tunnel syndrome in filigree craftsmen. Advice for craftsmen to pay more attention to good work posture for work so that they can avoid the risk of carpal tunnel syndrome.

Abstract

Supervision is an important activity for managers which can influence improving the quality of nursing services, even health services in hospitals. One part of the implementation of supervision is the completeness of nursing care documentation which contains medical diagnoses, preparing treatment plans, carrying out assessments and evaluations that are prepared systematically, validly, and are morally and legally accountable. The research aims to analyze nursing supervision with complete documentation of nursing care. Quantitative research design with a cross-sectional approach. The population was 32 samples in the emergency room using a total sampling technique so the total sample was 32 people. The research results showed that the highest number of nursing supervision was good supervision, with 28 people with complete nursing documentation in the complete category, 21 people, pValue = 0.009 <0.05. Conclusion: There is nursing supervision with complete documentation of nursing care in the emergency room at RSUD dr. M.M. Dunda Limboto, Gorontalo Regency. It is hoped that the suggestions will become input for Dr. RSUD. M.M. Dunda Limboto in the quality of nursing services, especially in the completeness of nursing care documentation.

Abstract

Social interaction is a relationship between two or more people in the form of communication or social contact that results in answering each other, social interaction will affect the quality of life of the elderly in the panti. Quality of life is a perception of life that is being carried out by the culture and values in which the individual lives and compares his life with the goals, expectations, standards, and goals set by the individual. The purpose of the study was to determine the relationship between social interaction and the quality of life of the elderly—a quantitative research design with a cross-sectional approach. The population is 30 respondents or a total sampling. The results showed that the social interaction category was less with quality of life obtained respectively for the less 2 respondents (6.7%), and the moderate 2 respondents (6.7%). Social interaction is sufficient with less quality of life for as many as 2 respondents (6.7%). Good category social interaction with good quality of life as many as 24 respondents (80%) with p-value = 0.00 < 0.05. Advice as information to the orphanage ship and its staff regarding the benefits of social interaction to improve the quality of life of the elderly.

Abstract

First aid is the first treatment for accident victims before being handled by medical personnel to prevent victims from more severe injuries. Community behavior and community knowledge play an important role in the success of first aid. This study aims to determine the relationship of knowledge with community behavior in first aid for traffic accidents in the Tenilo sub-district. Quantitative research method with descriptive and cross-sectional design. A sample of 68 respondents was taken by accidental sampling technique. Data were obtained by observation and Chi-Square analysis  (a = 0.05). The results showed good public knowledge 40 (58.8%), poor knowledge 12 (17.6%) and good community behavior 13 (19.1%), and less good 3 (4.4%). The results of the study from the analysis test p = 0.000 so that it was concluded that there was a relationship between knowledge and community behavior in first aid traffic speed in Tenilo Village.

Abstract

Disasters are a series of events that threaten people's lives and livelihoods, one form of disaster is flooding. Health problems that can arise can be in the form of infectious and non-communicable diseases such as skin diseases, diarrhea, ARI, and typhus abdominalis. The purpose of the research is to relationship knowledge with community attitudes in facing health problems after flood disasters—quantitative research design with a cross-sectional approach. The population of 69 people with the collection using the Sloving formula obtained a sample of 41 people. The results showed that the highest community knowledge studied in Pancuran Village was in the sufficient category of 15 people and the highest community attitude, was in the sufficient category of 22 people, pValue = 0.000<0.05 for community knowledge and pValue = 0.000<0.05 for community attitudes. The conclusion is that there is a relationship between knowledge and community attitudes in dealing with health problems after the flood disaster. Suggestions are expected to the village government and related puskesmas to continue to carry out counseling about floods and their impact on health in the community.
