Abstract

An essensial for taekwondo athletes’ performance is flexibility. A nice example of hamstring flexibility is the action of kicking over the head. However, the body’s fat content can restrict this flexibility by limiting the joints’ range of motion. Taekwondo practitioners therefore need to demonstrate their flexibility and body mass index well. This study sought to ascertain how taekwondo athletes’ body mass index and hamstring muscle flexibility related to each other. This study design employs a correlation design in non-experimental quantitave research. The Active Knee Extension Test is used to measure hamstring flexibility, and weight scales and meters are used to calculate body mass index. Result: The Rank Spearman correlation test returned a value of p= 0,869 (p>0,05), indicating that there is no meaningful relationship between hamstring flexibility and body mass index in taekwondo practitioners. Conclusion : Among taekwondo athletes, there is no discernible correlation between hamstring flexibility and body mass index.

Abstract

Interpersonal communication skills are a person's ability to establish personal relationships with others directly well. Amid the rampant development of communication and information technology today, interpersonal communication skills on the one hand are needed but on the other hand face challenges. In the digital age, people tend to prefer to communicate with others using social media rather than communicating face-to-face in person. People prefer using social media rather than socializing with others. As a result, interpersonal communication skills become undeveloped and inhibited. Among students, interpersonal communication skills are needed for self-development and soft skills, especially in building positive relationships with friends, teachers, family, and the social environment where they are. This Community Partnership Program offers solutions to build interpersonal communication skills among students of Al Falah Mampang Prapatan Vocational High School (SMK), South Jakarta. The results of this program show that students become more familiar with the concept of interpersonal communication skills, consider it important to have interpersonal communication skills, and are motivated to improve their interpersonal communication skills.

Abstract

Tuberculosis (TB) is an infectious disease caused by Mycobacterium Tuberculosis and is the leading cause of health problems and the most common cause of death worldwide. Tuberculosis is the disease that causes the most health problems in the community to date. Based on data from the Semarang City Health Office, it is known that 41.4% of tuberculosis patients will undergo Voluntary Counseling and Testing (VCT) screening in 2022. This is of course still below the screening target, which is the 100% target. Mismatch with VCT screening targets in TB patients can occur due to fear and anxiety if TB patients know their health status related to HIV and AIDS. This study was prepared using a cross-sectional design. The number of respondents included is 107 people diagnosed with TB at Kedungmundu, Bangetayu, and Tlogosari Wetan Health Centers in 2023. Univariate and Bivariate analyses were used to analyze the results of this study. The results of this study found that variables consisting of age, marital status, and education had no relationship with the use of VCT services in tuberculosis (TB) patients in Semarang City.

Abstract

Emergency conditions can occur anywhere and anytime. However, it does not rule out the possibility of emergency conditions occurring in areas that are not covered by health workers. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of dressing and scanning training on the skills of PMR MAN 1 Pohuwato students. This research method is quantitative research that uses the Two Group Pretest Posttest design. The population in this study was 22 students and the sample was 22 students. From the results of statistical tests on the application of dressing and scanning in the Experimental group of students, a p-value value of 0.003 was obtained, and the control group had a p-value of 1,000. Dressing and scanning training has an influence on students' skills which can be seen from the improvement of students' skills before and after being given dressing and scanning training in the experimental group, while for the control group, there is no change in skills, so it can be concluded that there is an influence of dressing and scanning training on students' skills. Suggestions for schools to conduct splint wrap training to improve students' skills.
