Abstract

This study discusses Ghicat’s business, a startup focused on providing comfortable and aesthetically pleasing bedding products for pet cats. The growth of the pet industry in Indonesia, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic, has increased the demand for animal care products, including specialized beds.  Data shows that 47% of households own a cat, which would suggest a significant market opportunity. This research evaluates various important aspects that contribute to Ghicat’s success, including management, human resources, marketing, finance, and operating technology. Ghicat’s aims to differentiate itself through unique product designs, multifunctional offerings, and a strong online presence on platforms such as Shopee and TikTok Shop. The study also discusses the competitive challenges of local and imported products, emphasizing effective marketing strategies to build consumer trust. Finally, this analysis provides strategic recommendations to ensure Ghicat's sustainability and growth in a competitive market.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to identify the risk management process, conduct research on risks that may arise and analyze the strategies that will be carried out by MSMEs in handling or managing these risks in the city of Bandung. This research was carried out in accordance with the risk management process (ISO: 31000), namely risk identification, risk analysis, risk evaluation and risk treatment. The risks obtained are the risks that occur most often and are in the high level category in "Oprit Fried Chicken" MSMEs, namely marketing risks and financial risks, namely increases in raw material prices and operational risks, including the absence of SOPs for the use of production machines, human resources who lack understanding in marketing, and expired products. To minimize risks, MSMEs need to identify and then analyze and manage these risks. By implementing effective risk management, "Oprit Fried Chicken" MSMEs can reduce potential losses, increase business resilience amidst business challenges, and take advantage of future growth opportunities. This approach is not only important to maintain business continuity, but also to increase consumer confidence and maintain business reputation in an increasingly competitive culinary market.The increase in prices of basic commodities poses a big challenge for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). This price increase can impact the sustainability of MSMEs and pose significant financial risks. This research aims to analyze how the MSME "Oprit Fried Chieken" manages the risks arising from increases in prices of basic commodities. The research methodology includes observation, interviews and statistical data analysis. The research results show that effective risk management helps MSMEs reduce the negative impact of rising prices of basic commodities. This research also provides recommendations for improving risk management in MSMEs and supporting the growth of the MSME sector.

Abstract

UMKM Sempol Ayam Si Kabayan in Bandung is a local culinary business that focuses on traditional sempol chicken snack products with distinctive and innovative flavors. This business has attracted the attention of consumers through creative marketing strategies and maintained product quality. However, like many other MSMEs, Sempol Ayam Si Kabayan faces various business risks that can affect the sustainability of its operations. This research analyzes risk management in MSMEs by identifying Market, Financial, Marketing, Operational, Human Resources, Legal risks and evaluating their severity. Based on interview results, it was found that the main risks include fluctuations in raw material prices, labor turnover, dependence on digital marketing, and intense market competition. This research also uses a SWOT analysis approach to evaluate the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats faced by MSMEs. The results show that implementing appropriate risk mitigation strategies, such as better financial management, product diversification, and strengthening customer loyalty, can increase business resilience to changes in the business environment. These findings provide practical contributions to the development of risk management in MSMEs, especially in the processed food sector.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji bagaimana istilah seperti "organik", "100% alami", dan "ramah lingkungan" dalam iklan produk agribisnis telah menjadi simbol status sosial dan kesadaran lingkungan. Istilah-istilah ini tidak hanya menjelaskan produk, tetapi juga membangun citra positif di mata konsumen. Pemahaman mendalam tentang makna konotatif sangat penting dalam strategi pemasaran produk agribisnis. Faktor sosio-kultural dan media digital memainkan peran signifikan dalam bagaimana makna ini diterima. Tren pemasaran berkelanjutan seperti "clean eating" dan "farm-to-table" menunjukkan perubahan minat konsumen terhadap asal-usul dan proses produksi. Penelitian ini menyarankan agar pemasar mengembangkan strategi komunikasi yang lebih personal melalui platform digital untuk meningkatkan efektivitas iklan. .

Abstract

The majority of Indonesians embrace Islam by having the obligation to pay zakat. Zakat represents the potential and foundation of Islamic economy. An ideal zakat policy will have the potential to improve the quality of life of the general public. Every Muslim is required to pay zakat fitrah during the month of Ramadan or before Eid al-Fitr. The system of distributing and receiving zakat fitrah can be done by using cash or rice as food. In several areas, one of which is in Ujung Tanah village, zakat fitrah is usually given in the form of rice. Zakat fitrah is usually carried out on the 23rd day of Ramadan in Ujung Tanah village. This research aims to understand the distribution of zakat fitrah in Ujung Tanah in relation to poverty alleviation. This research will describe how the mechanism of zakat fitrah management in Ujung Tanah village and the extent to which the collected zakat fitrah has an impact on improving the economic welfare of the people in Ujung Tanah village. The findings of the study show that the system of collecting and distributing zakat fitrah in Ujung Tanah is carried out by silent visits by the community to the residence of the Village Imam. The community handed over to the zakat officer, namely the village imam himself, then a record was made to find out the number of souls and zakat from each zakat given by the community.

Abstract

Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) are the main pillars of the economy in Indonesia, making a significant contribution to labor absorption and local economic development. This research aims to examine the role, challenges and development strategies of MSMEs in facing market dynamics. Using a qualitative approach through literature studies and observations, this research found that MSMEs face challenges such as limited capital, access to technology and market competitiveness. Strategic solutions such as digitalization, increased management skills, and collaboration with the government or related institutions can be the key to the desires and growth of MSMEs
