Abstract

Labor is a normal process characterized by uterine contractions that cause significant cervical dilatation accompanied by expulsion of the fetus and placenta from the woman's body. The progress of labor in the first stage is the most tiring, strenuous, and most mothers begin to feel pain or pain, in this phase most mothers feel severe pain because uterine activities begin to be more active. The active phase of the first stage of labor involves a lot of energy, so the nutritional needs of the first stage need special attention from the labor manager. One of the fruits that contain considerable energy is the date palm which contains fructose and glucose, all of which are energy sources that are easily absorbed by the body. Dates contain lots of carbohydrates, affect the progress and spontaneity of labor and reduce postpartum hemorrhage. Dates contain saturated and unsaturated fatty acids such as oleic, linoleic, and linolenic acids. Fatty acids in addition to providing and ordering energy, contribute to the delivery of prostaglandins. Therefore, dates can help in saving energy and strengthening the uterine muscles.

Abstract

Pregnancy is a natural process that will be experienced by every woman in the world, every pregnant woman experiences discomfort during her pregnancy where the changes that occur are changes in complex physical and emotional conditions. The development from month to month requires the ability of a mother to adapt to physical and mental changes that occur, this requires antenatal care that aims to prepare pregnant women mentally for pregnancy, by doing prenatal gantle yoga, one of the self-help solutions that can support the pregnancy process until labor. Management strategies to reduce anxiety levels are needed, both pharmacologically and non-pharmacologically. Gantle yoga prenatal exercise is one of the complementary therapies that can be used as non-pharmacological therapy. Prenatal yoga is a mind management skill, in the form of overall personality development techniques both physically and psychologically and spiritually, including relaxation, adjusting breathing postures and meditation. Therefore, it is necessary to have literature review evidence that aims to determine the effectiveness of prenatal gantel yoga in reducing anxiety levels of pregnant women. This study is a literature review which includes a systematic search for computerized databases (research gate, pubmed, google scholar). Writing this article using Harvard bibliography writing. Based on eight research articles, it shows that prenatal gantel yoga which is routinely done twice a week for 30 minutes can effectively reduce anxiety levels in mothers during pregnancy

Abstract

In Indonesia, the maternal mortality rate is still high, especially in death in maternity mothers, and this is a common problem that must be solved. One of the causes of maternal death is the occurrence of long labor that will be at risk of bleeding with various causes such as uterine atonia, birth canal lacerations, infections, fatigue, and shock. In infants will increase the risk of bleeding, death, trauma, and disease. This long labor can be prevented and pursued by various actions, one of which is non-pharmacological efforts, namely using birthing balls during the labor process, especially during the first stage of labor. This study aims to find out the effect of birthing balls on the progress of the first stage of childbirth on primigravida. This research method is a quasi-experiment with design research posttest only control design. Samples in the study of mothers born from April to June 2021 were distinguished between the treatment and control groups. The results showed an effect on the use of birthing balls on the progress of the first stage of labor in a primigravida with a value of ρ value 0.000 < α 0.05 with a time difference between the treatment group and control of 2.9 hours. It is expected that pregnant women can prepare for the labor process by increasing knowledge and experience, especially by using the birthing ball from the end of pregnancy.

Abstract

Nurses' level of knowledge about hazards is essential in maintaining the safety of patients and nurses themselves. However, nurses' perceptions of threat are not all the same. Following the theory of planned behavior, a perception applied to a person's behavior is influenced by beliefs preceded by knowledge of something about hazards experienced while working in healthcare facilities such as hospitals. The vulnerability of health workers' jobs threatens the quality of health care delivery in developing countries, especially nurses. Meanwhile, this study analyzes the knowledge and perceptions of nurses about occupational hazards among health workers whose job descriptions require direct contact with patients almost every day in most health care facilities. Furthermore, this research aims to know the relationship between nurses' knowledge and perceptions about occupational hazards in RSUD Kanjuruhan Malang. This quantitative research method uses a cross-sectional number of respondents, as many as 52 nurses who work in RSUD Kanjuruhan Malang. This study shows a strong relationship between nurses' knowledge and perceptions about occupational hazards with a positive correlation with R = 0.836.
