Abstract

This study aims to analyze the interactions between teachers and students in building and enhancing a culture of discipline at Al-Istiqomah Senior High School, West Pasaman. Discipline in the school environment is a crucial aspect that supports the creation of a conducive learning environment, which in turn can maximize students' potential in both academics and character development. Teachers, as educators and role models, play a significant role in guiding students to comply with school regulations. This study used qualitative methods with a phenomenological approach to understand the dynamics of interactions between teachers and students in greater depth. Data were collected through observation, interviews with the principal, teachers, and students, and relevant school documentation. The results indicate that interaction patterns involving multi-directional communication between teachers and students are effective in strengthening a culture of discipline. Teachers not only provide instructions but also employ a persuasive and educational approach when reprimanding infractions. For example, students who are late are given educational punishments such as memorizing verses from the Quran, while more serious violations, such as smoking, are subject to mild physical sanctions, such as running. This approach not only enforces rules but also helps students understand the importance of discipline as part of character development. Consistent interactions between teachers and students also foster close and respectful relationships, thus making students more motivated to comply with rules. This research suggests that discipline in schools can be effectively improved through an approach that emphasizes positive interpersonal interactions and educational teaching methods. The practical implication of this research is that schools can design discipline programs that balance firmness and understanding, so that students understand not only the consequences but also the value of discipline itself.

Abstract

Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning in elementary schools requires appropriate methods so that students not only understand the material, but are also able to remember and practice it in everyday life. However, in practice, low student learning outcomes are still found due to the lack of variety in learning methods and the minimal active involvement of students in the teaching and learning process. Therefore, it is necessary to apply learning methods that can increase student motivation and learning outcomes, one of which is through the Repetitive Method Learning Method. The purpose of this study is to describe: (1) the application of the Repetitive Method Learning Method, (2) the improvement of student learning outcomes in PAI subjects at SDN 12 Kinali, and (3) supporting and inhibiting factors in the application of the Repetitive Method Learning Method in improving student learning outcomes in PAI subjects at SDN 12 Kinali. This study uses a descriptive approach with a qualitative field research type. The data sources in this study consist of primary data and secondary data obtained through interviews, observations, and documentation techniques directly in the field. Data analysis was carried out through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions using data triangulation and source triangulation techniques to ensure data validity. The results of the study showed that: (1) the application of the Repetitive Method Learning Method in Islamic Religious Education learning at SDN 12 Kinali went well, marked by teacher readiness before the learning process, such as preparing lesson plans, student worksheets, and textbooks; (2) the use of the Repetitive Method Learning Method was able to increase student motivation and learning outcomes in Islamic Religious Education subjects; and (3) supporting factors for the application of this method include teacher commitment and teamwork, while the inhibiting factors were the lack of teamwork and low teacher commitment in implementing learning.

Abstract

Islamic education faces the challenge of integrating Islamic values ​​into a modern context, particularly regarding the obligation to seek knowledge and the ethics of imparting it. This study aims to analyze the Hadith of Ibn Majah No. 220 in the context of education, focusing on the implications of this teaching for contemporary educational practices. The method used is a qualitative approach, through analysis of the Hadith text and interviews with educators. The results show that this Hadith emphasizes the importance of the obligation to seek knowledge as a foundation for education, while also highlighting the role of ethics in imparting knowledge. These findings have significant implications for the development of values-based educational curricula and ethics training for educators, and encourage further research to examine the application of this teaching in broader contexts. Thus, this study contributes to the development of a more responsive and ethical Islamic education.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis keefektifan penerapan Problem-Based Learning (PBL) dalam pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) di era Kurikulum Merdeka. Dengan menggunakan metode Sistematic Literature Review (SLR), penelitian ini mengevaluasi 18 artikel yang relevan untuk memberikan pemahaman tentang strategi implementasi, efektivitas, dan tantangan PBL. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan PBL secara signifikan meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa, keterampilan berpikir kritis, kreativitas, kolaborasi, serta kemampuan pemecahan masalah. PBL juga mendorong keterlibatan aktif siswa dalam proses pembelajaran, meningkatkan pemahaman mereka terhadap konsep-konsep keagamaan, dan memperkuat pengembangan nilai-nilai karakter. Model ini membantu siswa menghubungkan teori dengan praktik melalui pemecahan masalah nyata, sehingga pembelajaran menjadi lebih bermakna dan relevan. Penelitian ini juga mengidentifikasi tantangan dalam penerapan PBL, seperti keterbatasan waktu dan kesiapan pedagogis guru, namun memberikan rekomendasi untuk mengatasinya. Temuan ini mendukung tujuan Kurikulum Merdeka untuk menciptakan pembelajaran yang interaktif, kontekstual, dan berpusat pada siswa, sekaligus memberikan landasan literatur bagi penelitian lanjutan.
