Abstract

Good student character is one of the benchmarks of the principal's success in fostering students in schools today. Producing students with good character is certainly a challenge for educational stakeholders, especially principals. The role of the principal is very important in fostering good behavior patterns in students at school, so that the output of character development can be felt by those around them. This study aims to analyze how the principal's role in fostering student character. This study uses a qualitative method with a case study design approach. Data sources were collected through in-depth interviews with the principal, teachers, and education staff. In addition, direct observations were also conducted at the school and analyzed documents related to this research. In this study, it was found that the principal implemented several things in fostering student character. First, the principal carried out character development directly with students by providing exemplary examples, advising and reprimanding undisciplined teachers. Indirectly, character development was carried out by all educators at SMA IT Darul Hikmah Pasaman Barat, establishing cooperation with various parties in fostering student character such as cooperation between Islamic religious education teachers and general study teachers. Second, the principal controls and supervises the development of students' morals through all teachers. Third, the principal evaluates students' moral development by administering punishments or sanctions that are designed to build their character. The principal's management of student character development can serve as a reference for principals in developing student character in educational institutions.

Abstract

This article aims to find out how and to what extent the school leadership style abilitiesinfluence the quality of educational administration services. This type of research is quantitative, research data is collected using a Likert scale model instrument which has been tested for validity and reliability, research data is analyzed statistically using simple linear regression analysis techniques assisted by SPSS 16, the samples for this research are all administrative staff at muslim school, teachers, students and parents/guardians of 36 students. The results of the research prove that the influence of the leadership style ability on the quality of educational administration services is 15.1%, so it is included in the very low but influential category. This means that there is a significant relationship between variables X and Y. Research findings illustrate that the leadership style of educational institution leaders influence the quality of service provided by educational institutions to their customers. These findings also occur in government institutions that provide services to the public. Several previous research findings convey the same thing. This is also proven in the findings of this research. The conclusion of this article is that the leadership style of school principals influence the quality of educational administration services at the institution concerned.

Abstract

The main problem in this study is how good the children's speaking ability is before using the picture book storytelling method, how good the children's speaking ability is after using the picture book storytelling method and how effective the picture book storytelling method is on the speaking ability of group B children in RA IB IV Mahakarya, Luhak Nan Duo District, West Pasaman Regency. This study uses a quantitative approach, namely the pretest and posttest control group design. The population of the researcher is all children in RA IB IV Mahakarya, totaling 40 children and the sampling technique is simple random sampling, namely children in group B1, totaling 40 children. The data collection technique used is observation/observation then the data that has been obtained through different test analysis (t-test). Based on the results of the data analysis, it was obtained that the pret-test of the control class obtained a score of 416 with an average value of 20.8 in the MB category, the post-test of the control class obtained a score of 516 with an average value of 25.8 in the BSH category. Meanwhile, the pre-test experimental class score obtained 603 with an average value of 30.15 in the BSH category, in the post-test experimental class with a score of 661 with an average value of 33.05 in the BSB category. By obtaining these results there is an increase in children's speaking ability with the picture book storytelling method. We can see through the results from before when given the action and after being given the following implementation/treatment (20.81), implementation (12), implementation (14), implementation (14) and seen the value of the t table with a level of 5% seen from the t table gets a value of 2.08 then it can be seen that (t0) is greater than tt (5.44 > 2.08) therefore t0 is greater than tt then it can be said that Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. This means that the picture book storytelling method can improve children's speaking ability at RA Islam Bakti IV Mahakarya, Luhak Nan Duo District, West Pasaman Regency

Abstract

This study evaluates the influence of learning motivation and family environment on the learning outcomes of fourth-grade students at MI Al-Ishlah Palembang. This study used quantitative methods. The analysis found that learning motivation has a significant positive influence with a contribution of 64.7% to learning outcomes. The family environment also has a significant positive influence, explaining 49.7% of the variation in learning outcomes. Regression analysis showed that the combination of these two factors explained 65.7% of the variation in learning outcomes. These findings emphasize the importance of motivation and family support in improving student academic achievement.

Abstract

This article aims to examine the educational thought of Imam Ahmad ibn Hanbal, a prominent figure in Islamic history known as a hadith scholar and founder of the Hanbali school of thought. Although better known in the fields of hadith and fiqh, the educational aspect of his thought is often overlooked. This study uses a qualitative approach by analyzing literature related to the educational values ​​of monotheism taught by Imam Ahmad. The analysis shows that monotheism education, according to Imam Ahmad, is a process of instilling belief in the oneness of Allah SWT, which must begin at an early age. The three main values ​​of Imam Ahmad's monotheism education encompass a Muslim's behavior in relation to Allah, oneself, and fellow human beings. This emphasis on monotheism education reflects Imam Ahmad's commitment to the pure teachings of Islam and the importance of educating the younger generation on a strong foundation of faith. Abstract

The transformation of Islamic Religious Education (IRE) learning in the 21st century is a crucial response to rapid developments in technology, information, and educational paradigms. This study aims to examine how Islamic Religious Education learning is transformed in senior high schools to meet the demands of 21st-century education, particularly in fostering critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, communication, and digital literacy among students. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected through classroom observations, interviews with teachers, and analysis of learning documents. The findings indicate that the transformation of IRE learning is reflected in the integration of student-centered learning models, the use of digital learning media, and the implementation of active and contextual learning strategies. However, several challenges remain, including limited technological infrastructure, varying teacher competencies, and time constraints in curriculum implementation. This study concludes that the transformation of Islamic Religious Education learning in senior high schools requires continuous teacher professional development, institutional support, and adaptive learning strategies to ensure that Islamic values are effectively integrated with 21st-century competencies.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the implementation of the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) learning model in improving student learning motivation in the Al-Quran and Hadith subject at MAN 3 Pasaman Barat. The research method used was qualitative. The subjects were teachers and students at MAN 3 Pasaman Barat. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The purpose of this study was to determine how teachers' skills in implementing the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) model improve student learning motivation in the Al-Quran and Hadith subject at MAN 3 Pasaman Barat, students' perceptions of the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) model in improving student learning motivation in the Al-Quran and Hadith at MAN 3 Pasaman Barat, and classroom management in implementing the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) model in improving student learning motivation in the Al-Quran and Hadith at MAN 3 Pasaman Barat. This research approach is qualitative with a case study approach, related to the implementation of the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) learning model in improving student learning motivation in the Al-Quran and Hadith subject at MAN 3 Pasaman Barat. This research was conducted using scientific methods frequently used and implemented by a group of researchers in the social sciences. The researchers acted as observers and data collectors. Data were obtained through interviews, documentation, and observation. The results showed that the implementation of the TGT model in the Al-Quran Hadith subject at MAN 3 Pasaman Barat successfully increased student learning motivation. This was evident in increased student participation in learning, student enthusiasm in discussions and completing group assignments, and an increased sense of responsibility for learning. Furthermore, the TGT model also helped students develop collaboration, communication, and leadership skills. This study provides recommendations for Al-Quran Hadith teachers at MAN 3 Pasaman Barat to continue implementing the TGT model in their teaching, and for the school to provide better support for its implementation.

Abstract

Ethical dress codes are crucial for today's youth. Parents play a crucial role in guiding their children on how to dress appropriately. This study aims to analyze adolescents who dress inappropriately according to Islamic law. Many teenagers today wear the hijab but don't cover their chests, while others wear the hijab but wear short-sleeved clothing that exposes their curves. This study employed a qualitative method with a case study design. Data were collected from several parents with adolescent children in Jorong Padang Canduh, Kinali District, West Pasaman Regency. The techniques used in this research are observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the analysis show that it is known that the role of parents in fostering Islamic dress ethics for teenagers in Jorong Padang Canduh, Kinali District, West Pasaman Regency is by directing, parents direct to cover the genitals according to Islamic teachings and giving gentle advice without putting pressure on teenagers in dressing Islamically, then by providing motivation such as parental encouragement to teenagers by providing knowledge about good Islamic dress, fulfilling the needs of teenagers by buying clothes according to Islamic law, then also by providing supervision such as giving warnings to teenage girls if they do not dress according to Islamic law, and providing regulations in dressing according to Islamic law.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the routine of Wirid Yasinan Jorong Padang Tujuh West Pasaman held every Saturday, different from the Yasinan tradition carried out by the community in general. Saturday was chosen because on that day some people do not work and do not have much activity. In the routine of Wirid Yasinan Jorong Padang Tujuh West Pasaman, a question and answer session was held regarding daily religious problems experienced by the community. Wirid Yasin was first formed in West Pasaman in 2000 and was hiatus for several years, then reactivated in 2019. Based on the results of the research conducted, the researcher concluded that 1) the value of Islamic Education in the Wirid Tradition in Jorong Padang Tujuh West Pasaman. The Islamic educational values ​​contained in the wirid tradition in Jorong Padang Tujuh, West Pasaman are as follows: a) Studying matters of worship, b) The value of practicing faith, c) The value of moral education, 2) Inhibiting factors encountered in the implementation of the Yasin recitation in Jorong Padang Tujuh, West Pasaman: a) Lack of infrastructure, and b) Community activities. 3) Community understanding. It can be seen that the implementation of the Yasin recitation tradition can realize spiritual awareness, such as increased faith, the acquisition of knowledge, blessings, and brotherhood.

Abstract

Maintaining the memorization of the Qur'an is very important and difficult, therefore it is highly recommended in memorizing the Qur'an for the memorizers to use the tahfidz, tahsin and tasmi' methods continuously. In order to make it easier for them to add memorization and maintain memorization. This study aims to analyze and describe the Implementation of tahfidz tahsin and tasmi' learning in improving the quality of students' memorization of the Qur'an at Mts Darul Yamani, Kejorongan Pisang Hutan, Sasak Ranah Pasisie District, West Pasaman Regency. This study uses a field research method, the type of approach is qualitative, The source of this research data is Primary data obtained through interviews with informants, namely the Principal of MTS Darul Yamani, teachers and students of SMK Darul Yamani regarding the Implementation of tahfidz learning using the tahsin and tasmi' methods at MTS Darul Yamani. Tahfidz learning using the tahsin and tasmi' method at MTS Darul Yamani is implemented once a week so that students understand and memorize the Qur'an more quickly. The form of the method used before teaching must use a learning plan. The implementation process that the tahsin and tasmi' method in tahfidz learning is one of the lessons to support the Qur'an tahfidz program. As well as evaluation of the implementation of tahfidz learning using the tahsin and tasmi' method is that at the end of each semester, MTS Darul Yamani holds an Al-Qur'an memorization test to evaluate student achievement. Students must meet the memorization targets that have been set according to their class level and supporting factors in the implementation of tahfidz learning using the Tahsin and tasmi' method are that the tahfidz program gets full support from the school, parental encouragement and student interest in participating in tahfidz learning. The inhibiting factors are due to sin and immorality, intentions that are not sincere because of Allah SWT and being full. The implications of this research can be used as initial data for subsequent researchers in studying this problem in different contexts and issues.
