Abstract

Schools will be in demand by the community if they can provide satisfaction to the community, especially regarding their educational programs. Apart from that, schools must also be able to provide interesting, fast, and accurate information to the community so that people can see, hear, and feel directly or indirectly what the school produces, especially for its students. The dissemination of school information to the public is done by a public relations officer. In carrying out his role, a public relations person has a strategy agreed upon by the school as a policy that will be implemented as a school program. This research aims to find out what the public relations management strategy is in Islamic educational institutions so that many people are interested. This research uses qualitative methods with a case study approach by taking the research location at the Islamic Education Institute. Data sources were taken from twenty-five people consisting of the principal, deputy principal for public relations, three core school committee administrators, ten parents, five community members, and five students. Interviews were conducted using in-depth interviews selected using the technique of purposive sampling. All data was analyzed using interactive techniques by Milles and Huberman. The results of the analysis show that the public relations management strategy implemented by Islamic educational institutions is carried out by approaching the community through activities: i) demonstrations from schools; ii) community involvement; and iii) establishing friendships. School demonstration activities carried out include preaching in mosques, prayer rooms, and ta'lim assembly forums, and holding religious activities by displaying students' abilities such as religious poetry, short lectures, hadrah, and qasidah. Community involvement, such as involving the community in Islamic Holiday Commemoration events held by the school. Annual routine gatherings, such as the Tahfidz graduation ceremony, which is held grandly by presenting community leaders, government elements, and parents of students. This research can be used as initial data for future researchers studying this problem in different contexts and issues.

Abstract

History lessons are one of the lessons that students are less interested in. Many students feel bored and not enthusiastic about learning. This condition challenges Islamic Cultural History teachers to increase students' enthusiasm and motivation to learn Islamic Cultural History. This research aims to analyze the teaching skills of Islamic Cultural History teachers in increasing students' learning motivation at the madrasah level in Indonesia. This research uses qualitative research methods with a descriptive approach. Data sources were taken from fifteen informants through in-depth interviews who were selected using techniques of purposive sampling, all informants are active students, Islamic Cultural History teachers, school principals, and curriculum representatives. All interview results were then analyzed thematically using techniques by Milles and Huberman. The results of the analysis show that firstly, there are Islamic Cultural History teachers' teaching skills that are good in increasing students' learning motivation as seen from Islamic Cultural History teachers who know and continually study teaching skills. Second, the learning planning is quite good because the Islamic Cultural History teacher has prepared learning tools as a form of learning planning before the teacher teaches. The results of this research can be used as an initial reference for future researchers in studying this problem in different contexts and issues.

This type of research uses a survey because in data collection, the author gathered information from respondents using a questionnaire as the primary method. The researcher found a 72% impact of the Mobile Legend game on students. Meanwhile, the decline in student learning achievement, according to the distributed questionnaire, reached 63%. Several activities that should be created to avoid the impact of Mobile Legend are extracurricular activities and homework, as well as strict supervision of students' smartphones. It is important to maintain balance in the approach taken by MAN schools in West Pasaman. Although extracurricular activities such as KSR, Scouts, Osim, Dramband, and Nasyid provide positive benefits, they must be managed wisely to prevent students from becoming exhausted, especially if they return home late at school. Abstract

This study focuses on the instructional practices of Kitab Kuning (classical Islamic texts) teaching at Pondok Pesantren Arabi Darul Yamani, located in Sasak Ranah Pasisie, Pasaman Barat Regency. The aim of this research is to describe the planning, instructional process, and evaluation methods employed by teachers who are graduates of the pesantren system. Utilizing a descriptive method with a qualitative approach, data were collected through observations, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data display, and drawing conclusions, while data validity was tested using triangulation. The findings reveal that in the planning phase, Kitab Kuning teachers who are graduates of the pesantren do not develop written learning objectives, curriculum mapping, or instructional tools such as lesson plans (RPP), syllabi, annual programs (Prota), or semester programs (Prosem). Instead, teachers rely on their understanding of the material and determine the extent of the syllabus coverage without systematic planning. In the instructional process, teachers conduct initial, core, and concluding activities with a considerable effort to achieve optimal results. Evaluation is carried out both in written and oral forms, at the end of the class sessions as well as after several meetings. These findings suggest that while the instructional and evaluative processes are generally well-implemented, there are notable shortcomings in the planning phase that could affect the overall effectiveness of the teaching and learning process.
