Abstract

Salah satu gereja di Indonesia yaitu GKE (Gereja Kalimantan Evangelis) yang terkena dampak dari pandemi COVID-19. Secara khusus Jemaat GKE Selat Kuala Kapuas bagian dari Resort Kuala Kapuas, Kalimantan Tengah. Jemaat ini merupakan salah satu jemaat yang terdampak pandemi COVID-19. Dampaknya seperti menurunnya keuangan gereja, gereja memanfaatkan teknologi dengan ibadah Live Streaming dan kunjungan doa ke rumah jemaat, gereja juga membuka kembali ibadah Minggu, dengan menerapkan Physical Distancing sesuai anjuran pemerintah. Peneliti menggunakan penelitian kualitatif untuk mendeskripsikan setiap data yang Peneliti dapatkan, Jenis penelitian adalah deskriptif. Peribadahan pada masa pandemi COVID-19 membentuk pengalaman beragama Jemaat GKE Selat berdasarkan realitas yang nampak dan mempengaruhi masyarakat serta agama yang dianutnya. pengalaman beragama Jemaat GKE Selat terbentuk melalui peribadahan. Pengalaman Beragama tersebut ternyata berupa perasaan, tindakan, pikiran serta kegiataan yang dirasakan secara sadar. Peribadahan pada masa andemi COVID-19 membentuk dua tipe, yaitu: Jemaat yang khawatir dan jemaat yang fleksibel.Oleh sebab itu, pengharapan akan keamanan manusia juga dilandasi pada iman pribadi. Terkait dengan kesaksian tentang Allah dan mempercayai Allah, sehingga manusia akan memperoleh baik tempat perlindungan dan keamanan, sebab Dia akan memberikan keamanan bagi mereka yang mempercayai Dia, dari penyakit yang mengancam.

Abstract

This article is based on research that describes the perspectives of Sion Katunun, one of the congregations in the region of Tanah Laut, south of Kalimantan, on COVID 19. How do they relate pandemics to faith and their daily lives? Katunun Congregation is unique because its members are from Java, who came because of the transmigration program in the 1970s. Research conducted in August–December 2021 resulted in five findings: Firstly, the congregation understood COVID-19 as fulfilling biblical statements. Even the practice of self-isolation is like humans entering the ark in the time of Noah. Secondly, knowledge of herbs is a form of local wisdom that can reduce fears and concerns about COVID 19. Thirdly, thru COVID-19, the congregation found a new dimension in the meaning of worshiping God. Fourthly, COVID 19 teaches about solidarity; and lastly, COVID 19 strengthens the relationality in the congregation. The research applied a mixing method and used a descriptive approach. The leading theory applies to the ten positions of the theology of C.S. Song and other theologies of COVID-19 by Joas Adiprasetya and A.A. Yewangoe.

Abstract

Kalimantan in 2019. The Kalimantan Evangelical Church (GKE), as one of the ecclesiastical organizations in Kalimantan, has a very positive and anticipatory reaction to the government's decision. The research in this paper describes the process of relocating a new IKN in East Kalimantan, GKE's attitude towards the IKN project, and the theological reflection of GKE services in the IKN area. The research method used is a qualitative method to describe the data collected. The type of research is descriptive, with data collection by interview method. The presence of the new IKN in East Kalimantan was responded to in a very positive way by GKE. There was an opportunity to be seen there, where East Kalimantan and the location of IKN were in direct contact with GKE. The synod level already has a basis, where there is a "blueprint" for the formation of GKE preparations for the new IKN, so that the basis for strengthening the position of GKE in the new IKN is clear. The development of the GKE congregation in response to the formation of a new IKN is a continuous process. observation, strengthening commitment to change, preparing and conducting research, problem analysis, theological reflection, and continuous strategic planning in evaluation. Developing the medium-term and long-term GKE projects in the New IKN so that the presence and development of GKE there become a lighthouse project of God's church in the future.

Abstract

Pemindahan Ibu Kota Negara (IKN) Indonesia dari Jakarta ke Kalimantan Timur tepatnya ke daerah Sepaku, Penajam Paser Utara yang digagas Presiden Jokowi dan disahkan DPR RI melalui rapat paripurna pada 18 Januari 2022 diyakini memberikan dampak ekonomi, sosial dan budaya yang signifikan. Dampak yang dimaksud tidak hanya bagi kawasan yang menjadi lokasi IKN, tetapi juga untuk kawasan yang ada di sekitarnya, termasuk Kabupaten Tabalong yang berjarak kurang lebih 203 km dari kawasan IKN. Sebagai salah satu gerbang utama dari IKN baru, penting untuk mengkaji kesiapan masyarakat adat Dayak Deah dalam menyambut IKN. Penelitian dilakukan pada 06 Mei 2022 dengan menggunakan penelitian kualitatif melalui wawancara dan focus group discussion di Desa Kinarum. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa masyarakat Dayak Deah bangga, senang, siap dan memiliki rencana kongkret. Walaupun sadar bahwa pemindahan IKN sebagai peluang sekaligus tantangan. Bagi mereka penting adanya relasi timbal balik antar pemerintah dan masyarakat, sehingga ada komitmen untuk melakukan pemberdayaan masyarakat melewati pemerintah desa, penguatan kapasitas lembaga adat, dan pengembangan Kampung Budaya. Pada akhirnya bagi mereka “Mau tidak mau, harus siap; Siap tidak siap, harus dihadapi”. Semangat gotong royong dan solidaritas bersama menjadi kekuatan dalam menghadapinya.

Abstract

History is the story of the past that contains a million valuable lessons. It offers a positive note when it flirts with history: learn from history. Indonesia's fight against the dayak people in central kalimantan is one of the most important lessons to learn. Central kalimantan before officially becoming the self-sufficient province has a long labyrinth of history. The fighting spirit of fighters and communities needs to be recognized, understood, and embedded. One of the heroes involved in the establishment of central kalimantan province is Christian Mandolin Simbar or Christian Simbar that leads a movement called the mandau movement of pantja. The leadership of Christian Simbar became an appropriate part of being recognized and understood, and reflected by the GKE's pastor nowadays.

Abstract

Since 2019, the government has implemented a national program to build a national-scale food barn known as the Food Estate. This food estate area is being developed in the provinces of North Sumatra and Central Kalimantan. Substantially, the purpose of this food estate program is very large, namely to become a place for the development of food diversification and extensification that will ensure the availability of food to meet the needs of the community for a long time and is sustainable. In Central Kalimantan province, food estate is being developed in two districts, namely Pulang Pisau and Kapuas districts. Of course, this program is expected to bring satisfactory results as expected. Not only that but it is also expected to have an impact on the lives of the people living in the program area. One of the interesting areas to study is Belanti Siam village, Pandih Batu sub-district, Pulang Pisau district, and Central Kalimantan. In this area, most of the population has been sucked into farmer groups who are developing hybrid rice cultivation and have also enjoyed the harvest through the food estate program. This study is an attempt to examine the extent to which this program has a social and cultural impact on the Belanti Siam village community. The research was carried out from February-June 2022 using a qualitative method. The data were then analyzed using Bourdieu's theory of social practice theory, resulting in 3 research findings, namely: first, the Belanti Siam village community experienced social and economic changes in the form of capacity building and quality of life. Second, the food estate has a positive impact on the social life of the local community, especially in the economic sector and improving road infrastructure. And third, the community still maintains the values ​​of local wisdom in terms of planting and harvesting.

Abstract

The primary focus of the research is to identify the elements of wedding’s customary law and the subjects of social-cultural considerations that are underlying DUSMA’s changes and adaptabilities. It was a basic to maintain the existence and identity, building and empowering the culture of DUSMA Banjarmasin. This research is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach. The data collection processes include library research, observation, and interviewing. The subjects of this research are members of DUSMA Banjarmasin and figures named Dayak Dusun and Maanyan who live in Banjarmasin. Information and informants selected by purposive sampling and snowball sampling. The findings present that DUSMA Banjarmasin is accommodating the inspirations of Dayak Dusun and Maanyan people in Banjarmasin. Moreover, DUSMA Banjarmasin preserved Maanyan’s culture and language. DUSMA is a community based on association. DUSMA represents the customary laws, especially the wedding law that involves the collective consciousness of the family institution. The members of DUSMA in Banjarmasin constantly experience the process of enculturation and cultural socialization from generation to generation. The acknowledgement of the existence of DUSMA Banjarmasin by the society, church, and government is an important basic to maintaining the existence and identity of DUSMA Banjarmasin until now. Through biblical approaches, DUSMA Banjarmasin is a faith seeking fellowship and brotherhood in the midst of the Dayak Dusun and Maanyan communities in Banjarmasin. Therefore, the spirit of mira pakat bulat atei (unit in mutual deliberations) will have been creating the atmosphere of fellowship-brotherhood in DUSMA for supporting, giving solutions, and working together in goodness one to another (Gen. 11:1–9; 1 Thess. 5:12–22).

Abstract

Pakanan Sahur Lewu merupakan upacara memberi persembahan sebagai penghormatan kepada para leluhur yang menjaga kampung dan acara ini bertujuan untuk melindungi desa/kampung dari mara bahaya dan hidup dalam keamanan. Pakanan sahur lewu yang dulunya hanya dilakukan oleh orang Kaharingan, sekarang melibatkan partisipasi seluruh penduduk desa. Perbedaan agama tidak menyurutkan sikap toleransi. Tujuan dari partisipasi umat lain semata-mata untuk bersatu memohon keamanan bagi desa dan penduduknya. Pakanan Sahur Lewu sendiri merupakan wujud dari perubahan sosial melahirkan kebutuhan-kebutuhan yang tidak mudah dihindari.

Abstract

A different sexual orientation from heterosexual is often seen as an aberration, even in the Christianity the perpetrators are often judged as sinners. This opinion is strengthened by the support of Bible verses. One of the passages of the Bible that is often used to judge lesbians and homosexuals is the Text of Romans 1:26-32. This paper aims to examine the response in the form of understanding and acceptance by youth in the Youth Services Section of the GKE Eppata Banjarmasin Congregation regarding this biblical text and its relation to lesbian and homosexual. The method used is Reader-Response Criticism which aims to explore the meaning of the text not only from within the text itself, but from the reader. The reader has an important role in giving the meaning of a text. From the results of the Focus Group Discussion (FGD) it can be concluded that although there are various responses between those who accept and reject the existence of lesbians and homosexuals, all agree that God's grace is unlimited and applies to them as well.

Abstract

AbstractThe relocation of the Indonesian National Capital to East Kalimantan has proven to be a magnet for many groups to compete to show their existence in various aspects: socioeconomic, ecological, political, and cultural. A successful businessman in East Kalimantan, namely Abriantinus, brought his socio-cultural identity as a Ma'anyan Dayak and confirmed him as King Nansarunai in Betang Sanggu, South Barito. Nansarunai is a name full of history, meaning, and the traditional identity of the Ma’anyan people. With the title of King, Abriantinus hopes to be able to elevate the cultural values and potential of the Dayak people in the new National Capital. This confirmation received responses from various parties. The heads of the three Dayak Maanyan kadamangan agreed that the title of the king could be accepted if it had a socio-cultural nuance rather than being used for political and sovereign interests. The research method used in this paper is a qualitative one to describe each part of the data collected. This type of research is descriptive, with data collection methods including interviews, observation, and literature study. Keywords: Abriantinus, King Nansarunai, Dayak Ma'anyan, social identity, and social interaction. AbstrakPemindahan Ibu Kota Negara ke Kaltim terbukti menjadi magnet bagi banyak kalangan untuk berlomba menunjukkan eksistensinya dalam berbagai aspek: sosial ekonomi, ekologi, politik dan budaya. Seorang pengusaha sukses di Kalimantan Timur, yaitu Abriantinus membawa identitas sosial budayanya sebagai Dayak Ma'anyan dan mengukuhkannya sebagai Raja Nansarunai di Betang Sanggu - Barito Selatan. Nansarunai adalah nama yang sarat sejarah dan makna serta identitas tradisional masyarakat Maanyan. Dengan gelar Raja, Abriantinus berharap mampu mengangkat nilai budaya dan potensi masyarakat Dayak di Ibu Kota Negara yang baru. Konfirmasi ini mendapat tanggapan dari berbagai pihak. Kepala tiga kadamangan Dayak Maanyan berpandangan bahwa gelar raja bisa diterima asalkan bernuansa sosial budaya, bukan untuk kepentingan politik dan kedaulatan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penulisan ini adalah metode kualitatif untuk mendeskripsikan setiap bagian dari data yang dikumpulkan. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif dengan metode pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi dan studi pustaka. Kata kunci: Abriantinus, Raja Nansarunai, Dayak Ma’anyan, Identitas Sosial dan Interaksi Sosial.
