Abstract

This research aims to analyze the meaning of debt in Ada Kami online loan advertisements and offer alternative meanings of debt based on netizen responses in the comment column of online loan advertisements. The research uses a critical netnographic approach with analysis based on Derrida's semiotics. The data sources in this research are symbols in online loan advertisements and comments in these advertisements. This semiotic study finds that debt is no longer something that is "embarrassing" but instead becomes a way to support consumerist behavior. Online loans can be a quick and easy solution to obtain a loan when you need urgent funds to meet your needs or desires. Another finding of this research is that debt is not only material but also non-material. The ease of obtaining debt does not guarantee ease afterwards. Debt must consider the values ​​of trust, convenience, security, prudence and spirituality.

Abstract

The Umrah travel industry in Indonesia, particularly in Makassar, is experiencing rapid growth but faces challenges such as intense competition, fraud issues, and increasing consumer demands for service quality. In this context, customer trust and customer experience are crucial factors in building Umrah pilgrim loyalty. This study aims to analyze the influence of customer trust and customer experience on loyalty through customer satisfaction as a mediating variable among pilgrims at PT Arrafsyah Safari Haramain in Makassar. The research method employed a quantitative approach with survey techniques and data analysis using Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). The results show that customer experience significantly influences pilgrim satisfaction and loyalty, while customer trust has no significant effect on satisfaction but a positive effect on loyalty. Furthermore, satisfaction has been shown to play a significant role as a mediator in the relationship between customer experience and loyalty. These findings emphasize that Umrah travel agencies need to prioritize improving the overall customer experience, while maintaining trust, to build long-term pilgrim loyalty.

Abstract

This study examines the influence of yen exchange rate, coal reference price, LNG price, and coal production on Indonesian coal exports to Japan to understand bilateral energy trade dynamics in optimizing Indonesian coal exports. This quantitative explanatory research uses time series data from 2000-2023. The study aims to comprehensively analyze the influence of economic variables on coal exports. The research results show that only the LNG price variable has a significant positive effect with a coefficient of 0.2311, while yen exchange rate, coal reference price, and coal production have no significant effect, which becomes the main finding from this multiple regression analysis. Additionally, the ability of the four variables to explain 69.41% of coal export variation indicates a good model in explaining the energy substitution phenomenon. Therefore, export strategies that consider LNG price dynamics as a determining factor are needed. Thus, all factors, both supporting and hindering, need to be identified immediately so that solutions can be found in efforts to optimize Indonesian coal exports to Japan.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of service quality and marketing strategy on sales improvement at Toko Cahaya Tani Enrekang. The research is based on the importance of enhancing service quality and implementing effective marketing strategies to boost sales performance. The study population consisted of 500 customers over the past six months, and using the Taro Yamane formula with a 10% precision level, a sample of 83 respondents was obtained. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression with the assistance of SPSS. The analysis produced the regression equation Y = 2.003 + 0.310X₁ + 0.440X₂ + e. The partial test (t-test) results indicated that both service quality (X₁) and marketing strategy (X₂) have a positive and significant effect on sales improvement (Y), while the simultaneous test (F-test) also showed that these two variables jointly have a significant influence on sales performance. The adjusted R-square value of 0.672 indicates that 67.2% of the variation in sales improvement is explained by service quality and marketing strategy, while the remaining 32.8% is influenced by other factors outside the study. Therefore, improving service quality and implementing appropriate marketing strategies play a crucial role in enhancing sales and strengthening the competitive advantage of Toko Cahaya Tani Enrekang.

Abstract

Competition among private universities in Makassar City is intensifying with the development of globalization and technological advances. This situation requires each university to focus not only on improving service quality but also on ensuring adherence to academic regulations as a key pillar of quality educational governance. This study aims to analyze the effect of adherence to academic regulations on student satisfaction and competitive advantage at private universities in Makassar City, both directly and through the mediating variable of student satisfaction. The study used a quantitative approach using the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) method with 265 student respondents from 10 private universities in Makassar City. The results show that adherence to academic regulations has a positive and significant effect on student satisfaction, and both directly and indirectly through student satisfaction, significantly influences the competitive advantage of universities. This demonstrates that good academic discipline can create student satisfaction and loyalty, ultimately strengthening the competitive position of universities in the era of globalization.

Abstract

Stunting remains a serious problem in human development in Indonesia as it affects the quality of human resources, cognitive development, and children’s productivity in the future. The Family Assistance Program for stunting prevention, initiated by BKKBN and the Ministry of Health, positions community cadres as the frontline actors in prevention efforts. This study aims to analyze the competencies and performance of family assistance cadres as well as the strategic human resource management (HRM) factors that influence their effectiveness. This research employed a descriptive qualitative approach in Dakopemean Subdistrict, Tolitoli Regency, Central Sulawesi. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation, and analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model. The results show that cadre competencies include knowledge of nutrition and child growth, communication skills, and the use of reporting technology. Major challenges identified were limited training, inadequate ICT facilities, and inconsistent incentives. The effectiveness of assistance increased when supported by strategic HRM elements such as continuous training, feedback-based supervision, fair incentives, and non-material recognition. In conclusion, enhancing cadre competencies and implementing HRM policies aligned with program objectives are key to the success of stunting prevention at the family level.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the level of influence of competence, organizational culture, and leadership on employee development at CV. Geopublish Indonesia Makassar. The research method uses a quantitative approach with multiple linear regression analysis techniques. Data were obtained through distributing questionnaires to permanent employee respondents. The results show that competence, organizational culture, and leadership have a positive and significant influence, both partially and simultaneously, on employee development. This finding emphasizes the importance of improving the quality of human resources through the synergy between individual competence, corporate cultural values, and effective leadership styles. Employee development is a company's effort to improve the quality and self-development of its human resources through training, education, and career opportunities. This study employed a quantitative approach with a survey method, collecting data through questionnaires distributed to employees at CV. Geopublish Indonesia. Data analysis was conducted using multiple regression techniques to simultaneously examine the influence of competency, organizational culture, and leadership on employee development. These findings indicate that to improve employee development, CV. Geopublish Indonesia needs to focus on improving competency through appropriate training and building an organizational culture that supports innovation and learning. This study provides recommendations to CV. Geopublish Indonesia's leadership to further optimize development programs that focus on competency and a positive work culture to improve employee quality in the future.

Abstract

Environmental pollution is generally caused by economic activity. Traditional economic theory posits a trade-off between economic growth and environmental quality. However, since the early 1990s, empirical and theoretical literature has grown rapidly. Research has demonstrated the effects of profits on environmental sustainability, including population density control. However, environmental pollution can be controlled to achieve optimal pollution levels that maximize the net benefits of economic activity. Identifying polluters is necessary when determining optimal pollution levels. Economic instruments can be used to pressure polluters to control their economic activities. The selection of economic instruments to be implemented will work best if the value of environmental pollution is known. In fact, pollution is not priceless, and therefore, an economic valuation of pollution is necessary. Several valuation techniques have been introduced, based on the type of pollution. Research shows that conventional policies focus more on pollution control, but this development must be combined with policy choices that focus on eco-efficiency, environmental sustainability, and innovation in the economic development process. Otherwise, economic growth will continue to undermine environmental sustainability in most countries.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of organizational policies, budgets, human resource capabilities, and coordination on the success of asset recovery at the KPK's Labuksi Directorate, with performance as a mediating variable. This study uses a quantitative approach with the Structural Equation Modeling – Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) method. Data were obtained through distributing questionnaires to Labuksi Directorate employees involved in tracking, managing, and utilizing assets resulting from corruption. The results show that coordination and human resource capabilities have a positive and significant effect on performance, while organizational policies and budgets do not have a significant effect on performance. Performance is proven to have a significant effect on the success of asset recovery and is a mediating variable that links coordination and human resource capabilities with the success of asset recovery. The R² and Q² values ​​indicate that the model has strong predictive power for the dependent variable, making it suitable for use in explaining organizational effectiveness in the context of asset recovery. These findings indicate that the success of asset recovery is not only determined by the availability of policies or financial resources, but is more determined by the effectiveness of inter-unit coordination and the competence of human resources in carrying out their functions and duties. Therefore, increased synergy, capacity building, and internal policy adjustments are needed to support the optimal performance of the Labuksi Directorate in recovering state assets.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the perceptions of persons with disabilities regarding career opportunities in the formal work environment at UNIPARMART, PT Sumber Alfaria Trijaya Tbk, Jember Branch. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation involving employees with disabilities and company management. The findings indicate that while the recruitment process has become more accessible, physical accessibility and career development remain limited. The social environment is supportive, but it is not yet accompanied by a fully inclusive managerial system. This research recommends improving physical accessibility, establishing training policies, and strengthening inclusive work systems to support sustainable careers for persons with disabilities.
