Abstract

The research is motivated by the presence of students with autism in grades VIII and IX at State Tsanawiyah Middle School 3 in Pesisir Selatan, where they are placed alongside regular students during the learning process. This study aims to understand the efforts of social studies teachers in educating autistic students through learning approaches. It employs a qualitative research design with a case study method. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, and document analysis. The research findings indicate: 1) Social studies teachers use humanistic and behavioral approaches in the classroom. 2) The steps of the social studies learning approach start with preliminary, core, and closing activities, tailored to the conditions of autistic students. 3) Learning difficulties faced by autistic students include communication issues, social interaction difficulties, sensory disorders, cognitive challenges, and emotional regulation problems. 4) The study finds that only the behavioral approach in grade IX is effective. The ineffectiveness of the humanistic approach for autistic students in grade VIII is attributed to the need for guidance from special education teachers and the lack of training for social studies teachers in teaching students with special needs. 5) The humanistic approach fosters a sense of being loved, which leads to excessive freedom for autistic students, while the behavioral approach in grade IX generates high enthusiasm. However, the learning outcomes remain far from the educational goals

Abstract

This article aims to demonstrate that there is cooperation between Muslim and Christian communities in the construction of places of worship side by side in Karo land. The research uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach and data collection through observation and interviews. This study not only discusses the collaboration between Muslims and Christians in the process of constructing places of worship but also delves deeper into the factors driving the success of this cooperation. The results show that throughout the process of constructing a mosque and a church from start to finish, there was cooperation between Muslims and Christians. This can be evidenced by each phase of the construction process: planning, government coordination, fundraising, physical construction, and completion. Behind the success of this cooperation between Muslims and Christians, there are two driving factors that enabled the creation of inclusive collaboration: the factor of solidarity within the community and the factor of religion. The success of building two places of worship side by side, separated only by a wall, is an extraordinary achievement. The cooperation between Muslims and Christians, marked by determination and discipline, has achieved a common goal. Despite religious differences, they can live together harmoniously.

Abstract

Village-Owned Enterprises (BUM Desa) are village economic institutions formed by the village government together with the community, based on laws and regulations and mutual agreements. The goal is to strengthen the village economy and improve community welfare. However, the status of Village BUM as a legal entity is still a matter of debate, especially after the birth of the Job Creation Law which changed the provisions in the Village Law related to the legal status of Village BUM. Article 117 of the Job Creation Law amends Article 87 of the Village Law, which was later clarified through the Village BUM PP, by emphasizing that Village BUM must be registered as a legal entity. This study uses a normative juridical method with a descriptive-analytical approach. Research data was obtained through literature studies and interviews, with qualitative analysis. The results of the study show that clearer arrangements regarding the legal status of Village BUM are urgently needed to fill the legal void and ensure legal certainty. Although the Job Creation Law and the Village BUM PP have affirmed the legal status of the Village BUM, there is still a legal vacuum related to the form of the Village BUM legal entity due to the non-recognition of the Village Regulation (Perdes) in the order of legislation. This has juridical implications in the form of legal uncertainty regarding the form of the legal entity of the Village BUM. Thus, further arrangements are needed to ensure professional governance of Village BUM and in accordance with the guidelines of laws and regulations.

Research informants were selected using purposive sampling technique with certain criteria, including UNSEC students who have been athletes for at least 1 year. Data were collected using interviews, observation, and documentation. The data that has been collected is then analyzed using interactive analysis techniques by Miles and Huberman. The research results indicate that UNSEC students choose to pursue a career as esports athletes based on their high interest in online games from a young age. They are confident that esports will continue to evolve, which makes them interested in pursuing a career in this field. Additionally, they have confidence in their ability to compete with other athletes. This confidence is supported by various resources they possess, such as advanced devices, parental support, and the UNSEC community. According to the theory of rational choice, UNSEC students as actors are able to manage the resources they have, such as devices that meet the needs of athletes in competition, parental support that is beginning to show acceptance of their career choice, and the relational facilities and location provided by the UNSEC community to enhance the athletes' comfort in competing. This rational background serves as the foundation for UNSEC students to choose a career as esports athletes
