Abstract

The circulation of illegal firearms in Papua is the main driving factor in prolonging the separatist conflict in the region. These firearms are used by separatist groups to carry out acts of violence against security forces, civilians and public infrastructure. This resulted in loss of life and material, as well as hampering development and stability efforts in Papua. This journal discusses the sources and routes of distribution of illegal firearms in Papua, the impacts they cause, and the government's efforts to overcome them. Analysis shows that the circulation of illegal firearms originates from international smuggling networks, theft from security forces, and the manufacture of traditional firearms. The impacts include violence and human rights violations, disruption of security and stability, as well as obstacles to development and community welfare. The government's efforts to address the circulation of illegal firearms in Papua include law enforcement operations, cooperation with neighboring countries, and economic and social development programs. Comprehensive and sustainable efforts are needed from the government and various related parties to eradicate the circulation of illegal firearms and build peace in Papua.

Abstract

This study reviews the impact of pest and disease attacks on shallot plants (Allium ascalonium L.) and control strategies to increase plant production. Pests such as Spodoptera exigua (onion caterpillar), Thrips tabaci (thrips), Spodoptera ltura F. (armyworm), Liriomyza spp. (leaf slitting fly), and Gryllotalpa spp. (orong-orong), as well as diseases such as trotol or purple spot (Purple blotch), anthracnose (Antracnose), downy mildew, moler or fusarium wilt (Twisting disease), leaf blight (Stemphylium leaf blight), and leaf spot (Cercospora leaf spot) cause a significant decrease in production hasl. Pest and disease control still relies heavily on chemical pesticides, which pose a risk to the environment and health. Alternative sustainable control such as the use of biopesticides from mahogany seed extract (Swietenia mahagoni), Japanese papaya leaf extract (Cnidoscolus aconitifolius), and legundi weed extract (Vitex trifolia L.), as well as the application of Plant Growth Promoting Microorganisms (PGPM) from bamboo root can have a very good influence on controlling pests and diseases of shallot plants and can help in increasing plant productivity

Abstract

This article aims to elucidate the issues that arise when individuals undertake the process of child adoption, with reference to the principles delineated in the Qur'an. The practice of treating a non-biological child as one's own is often deemed acceptable, this is evident from the prevalence of adoptive parents who assert their adopted children as their biological offspring. This study employs library research utilizing a thematic exegesis method. The analysis integrates interpretations from the "Al-Munir" exegesis by Wahbah Az-Zuhaili, the Ayat Suci Lenyepaneun exegesis by M. Emon Hasim, and the "Al-Mishbah" exegesis by M. Quraish Shihab on Surah Al-Ahzab verses 4-5. The findings indicate that "Tabanni," which means "considering someone else's child as one's own," clearly does not proscribe the act of adopting a child but rather prohibits the act of claiming an adopted child as a biological one. This injunction also seeks to abolish the pre-Islamic Arabian practice during the Jahiliyah era, wherein adopted children were considered biological. Muslims who adopt children are mandated to care for and love their adopted children as their own, with the stipulation that an adoptive father does not serve as the marriage guardian for his adopted daughter and that adoptive parents and adopted children do not have mutual inheritance rights.
