Abstract

The financial management of a mosque in Bandung currently relies on a semi-manual system that is susceptible to input errors, duplicate records, and delays in report generation, thereby obstructing transparency and accountability. This research seeks to develop and implement a web-based financial management application that uses the Cash Basis Accounting approach, which documents activities based on cash inflows and outflows. The system is built with Laravel 10 and a MySQL database. The applied testing approach is Black-Box Testing to verify that each capability performs as specified. This research yields an information system comprising two primary interfaces: a public page for congregants that transparently displays financial reports, activity schedules, and donation information, and an admin dashboard for the centralized management of all financial data, schedules, and donations. The testing findings demonstrate that the system operates effectively, resolves the deficiencies of the previous system, and improves the efficiency and transparency of the mosque's financial management.

Abstract

Formalin is a toxic substance frequently misapplied to preserve chicken meat; however, it is difficult to identify visually. Conventional laboratory testing is time-consuming, expensive, and unworkable for traditional markets. This study establishes a classification method for identifying chicken flesh adulterated with formalin, using a Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) based on the MobileNetV2 architecture, implemented in an Android application. The image dataset is sourced from primary and secondary sources, then preprocessed and enhanced to increase variability. The CNN model employs transfer learning and fine-tuning, achieving 98% accuracy and an F1-score exceeding 96% on the test dataset. The trained model is transformed into a TensorFlow Lite (.tflite) file of 2.93 MB, enabling effective offline operation on Android devices. The Android application is constructed with Flutter, allowing users to capture photos or choose images from the gallery for real-time classification. Results are presented with the labels "Formalin" or "Non-Formalin," accompanied by confidence levels. This system is engineered for user-friendliness and eliminates the need for laboratory equipment, providing precise, consistent categorization outcomes through an intuitive interface. The study also delineates aspects influencing model efficacy, including dataset quality, augmentation methods, and a bifurcated training approach. The designed method aims to serve as a realistic, cost-effective, and autonomous option for consumers and suppliers to identify formalin contamination, while concurrently enhancing knowledge of food safety. Future advancements will include expanding the dataset, field testing, extending to additional meat varieties, and deployment on iOS and web platforms.

Abstract

Enhancing the quality of higher education necessitates a thorough review of student feedback. Nonetheless, STMIK Mardira Indonesia continues to handle input manually, which challenges its ability to manage substantial amounts of both quantitative and qualitative data effectively. As a result, the institution fails to draw on numerous useful insights from student feedback. This research aims to develop an integrated system that autonomously analyzes student input using statistical and machine-learning methods. The technology displays outcomes via an interactive dashboard to facilitate data-driven decision-making for management. The research employs a hybrid technique, integrating CRISP-DM for data analysis and Machine Learning with the Prototype method for system development. The data analysis encompasses descriptive statistics for quantitative data (Likert scale) and Natural Language Processing (NLP) employing a Linear SVM model for sentiment classification of qualitative data (comments). The research yields a web-based system prototype that effectively consolidates the collection and analysis of student input on the curriculum, instructors, and facilities. The Linear SVM sentiment classification model has outstanding performance, with an accuracy of 95.2% on the test dataset. Moreover, the interactive dashboard effectively illustrates these outcomes through dynamic filtering. Consequently, the integration of statistical and Machine Learning methodologies successfully converts raw feedback into organized insights, equipping STMIK Mardira Indonesia with a reliable instrument to sustainably improve educational service quality.

Abstract

One gaming company continues to manage the borrowing of press machines traditionally through paper forms and spreadsheet documentation. This approach frequently results in problems, including scheduling conflicts, recording inaccuracies, and ambiguous borrowing sequences. This study seeks to resolve these issues by creating a web-based information system for borrowing press machines that utilizes the FIFO (First In First Out) algorithm. The research employs a descriptive-analytic qualitative approach, while the system development adheres to the Agile (Scrum) framework for enhanced flexibility and adaptability. The system provides functionalities such as an automated FIFO queue, online borrowing, real-time machine status monitoring, notifications, and usage analytics. Testing results indicate that implementing FIFO significantly reduces scheduling conflicts, improves queue fairness, and expedites the borrowing process. This research not only provides practical benefits for the organization but also advances the scientific application of queuing algorithms in industrial asset management information systems.

Abstract

Evaluation of students' memorization abilities at an Al-Quran educational institution in Bandung was previously carried out manually, making it difficult to monitor memorization progress comprehensively and making data management inefficient. This study aims to develop a web-based information system that employs the K-Means Clustering technique to classify pupils based on their memorization proficiency. The system is designed to aid educators in categorizing students into distinct groups, including Fast Memorization Students, Normal Progress Students, Students Needing Guidance, Exceptional Memorization Students, Consistent Students, and Students Needing Motivation, to facilitate more targeted coaching strategies. The system development methodology employs an object-oriented software engineering technique, utilizing a Model-View-Controller (MVC) architecture and incorporating the Laravel framework and a MySQL database. The technology enables instructors to enter the number of memorized verses. It automatically analyzes this information utilizing the K-Means method to generate cluster divisions based on similarities in memorization values. The clustering method is executed iteratively until ideal centroids are attained. Testing is performed using Black-Box Testing techniques to verify that all system functionalities comply with user requirements. The test results demonstrate that the system operates efficiently, encompassing data input, processing via the K-Means method, and presenting outcomes in a clustered format. This technique aims to assist educators in assessing student retention more effectively and facilitate a more focused coaching approach.

Abstract

The swift advancement of computer-based information systems has markedly enhanced the efficacy of many operational tasks within organizations, especially in inventory management, which necessitates precision and efficiency. A printing company continues to rely on a manual system for documenting incoming and outgoing goods, retrieving item information, and overseeing stock levels, leading to frequent delays, inaccuracies, and inefficient workflows. This study formulates a comprehensive warehouse inventory system that uses the Min-Max Stock approach as a regulatory framework to establish minimum and maximum inventory thresholds, thereby averting shortages and excess stock. The system incorporates QR Code technology to enhance item identification, streamline recording, and deliver detailed item information. The deployment of this system is anticipated to improve operational efficiency, minimize recording errors, expedite data retrieval operations, and facilitate more precise decision-making in stock management at the printing company.

Abstract

This study explores the impact of the accounting information system on credit granting and its effect on internal control over micro credit distribution. The main aim is to understand the relationship between these factors. To accomplish this, the research employs various methods like observation, interviews, and literature reviews. The analysis uses the Pearson correlation coefficient, demonstrating a strong relationship between the independent and dependent variables. The findings reveal that a significant portion of the variation in internal control over micro credit granting relates to problematic credits, while some influences come from factors not examined in this research. The emerging issues include ineffective credit analysis that leads to insufficient understanding of customer businesses, along with the misuse of loans by debtors, which negatively impacts bank profits. Recommendations for micro credit services at banking institutions in Bandung highlight the necessity for more assertive loan collection practices and increased vigilance in applying credit assessment frameworks such as the 5C and 7P models. This study brings forward the novelty of linking the effectiveness of the accounting information system directly to the internal control over micro credit distribution. By highlighting the specific relationship between these elements, it sheds light on how improved credit analysis can prevent debtor misuse and enhance bank profitability. This focus not only addresses existing gaps in understanding within the industry but also offers practical recommendations tailored for micro credit services at banking institutions in Bandung. The implications of these findings suggest that a more robust framework for credit assessment, particularly the application of the 5C and 7P models, could significantly improve the lending process. This innovative approach fosters a deeper understanding of customer behavior and financial practices, ultimately contributing to more sustainable lending strategies.

Abstract

The researcher conducted a study to assess the influence of promotion and service quality on purchasing decisions at a car dealership in Bandung. The study's objective was to examine the primary determinant of service quality on purchasing decisions at the dealership in Bandung. The research involved 95 consumers as participants, who were asked to complete questionnaires. The path analysis research demonstrates the validity of the advertising and service quality variables in influencing purchasing decisions at the vehicle dealership in Bandung. The research results underscore prioritizing promotion and service quality to improve purchasing decisions. The research findings suggest that promotion (X1) has a considerable influence on purchase decisions (Y), and Service Quality (X2) also has a significant impact on purchasing decisions (Y).

Abstract

The advancement of science and technology has enhanced the efficiency of all forms of information communication. Using two-dimensional barcodes enables the linkage between the virtual realm and the physical world, with the QR code being the most prevalent type of two-dimensional barcode. Each year, there have been significant advancements in information technology. Asset items are present in each laboratory or room of a school in Bandung. Evidence gathered at this educational institution suggests that the administration of inventory data could be more efficient. The school administrators affirm that they continue to rely on human data entry. Moreover, manual data entry is considered inefficient, and data processing tends to be sluggish. The data in question refers to the information regarding the assets. The Asset Validation application is developed utilizing the SDLC (System et al.) methodology and UML (Unified et al.) for design. The utilized programming language is PHP, or Hypertext Preprocessor, in conjunction with a MySQL database. When the URL is executed in a web browser, the system provides a description of the URL, compares it with the database, and subsequently presents it in the web browser. The outcome of the Asset Validation application is a QR code utilized to store the URL, signifying the precision of the asset item. This study also conducted a performance comparison with three analogous apps. These three comparison programs were selected based on their similar visual QR code output, although their scanning outcomes differ due to distinct features.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the inventory system employed by a wholesaler located in Bandung and offer suggestions to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of inventory management. The research methodology is a case study incorporating interviews and firsthand observation of the company's inventory system. The results suggest that the company still needs to practice any particular approach for overseeing its inventory, resulting in difficulties in calculating suitable inventory levels and a failure to use technology in inventory management. Hence, the author advises the wholesaler in Bandung to enhance the utilization of technology in managing their inventory and proposes adopting a buffer stock approach for inventory control.
