Abstract

Global economic integration and the ongoing advancement of information technology have brought about rapid and profound transformations in Chinese society. The growing population of postmodernist university students in China is one of the most important factors advancing societal progress. The thesis of the current study is that educators at Chinese universities should exercise transformational and participative leadership to assist their students in succeeding in life. The contribution of the current study lies in not only introducing both the theories of postmodernism and Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs to the realm of higher education management in China but also adding to higher education’s theories of social psychology and offering a practical approach to leadership for higher education in China.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the efficacy of using YouTube video material to teach speaking. YouTube video material denotes material created by researchers in the form of videos sourced from the YouTube application. The designed material is vocabulary and conversation. The purpose of this research is to examine students' speaking skills in terms of vocabulary and pronunciation, as well as conversation, using YouTube video material. This is an observational research method. The participants in the study were 40 eighth-grade students from SMPN 69 West Jakarta. The researcher's research material consists of two different YouTube channels on the same topic. Students took part in an eight-week trial from March 1, 2022 to April 27, 2022. Students' perspectives were used to collect data for the research instrument. The test was also completed by recalling vocabulary and practicing conversations with other students. The differences in the speaking comprehension scores of students' work show that YouTube has an impact on student performance. This positive outcome implies that students at SMPN 69 West Jakarta can benefit from using YouTube videos to communicate. It is also regarded as a motivator for students to improve their speaking comprehension skills and gain a deeper understanding of English.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kompetensi guru dalam mengelola administrasi melalui supervisi kelas yang dilakukan oleh kepala madrasah. Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut, upaya dilakukan agar kualitas guru mengkat dalam mengembangkan kualitas pendidikan. Kompetensi guru merupakan faktor yang sangan penting. Kompetensi guru di dalamnya termasuk kompetensi pedagogik, kompetensi personal, kompetensi sosial, dan kompetensi profesional. Usaha meningkatkan kompetensi guru dapat diakukan dengan mengoptimalkan peran kepala madrasah, sebagai: educators, managers, administrators, supervisors, leaders, creators and entrepreneurs working climate. Metode penelitian menggunakan metode module cycle Kemmis and Taggart: yakni melalui, perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi dan refleksi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pada siklus awal tidak berjalan dengan baik dan hanya mencapai katagori 47% hingga 53%, dan kemudian kemampuan kompetensi guru dalam mengelola administrasi melelui supervisi klinik telah meningkat pada siklus kedua hingga 100%.

Abstract

Abstract: The increasing number of internet users has a negative impact, one of which is hate speech, so that from year to year on social media the number of hate speech continues to increase without any signs of disappearing or being resolved. Hate speech is an action that is contrary to the communication function of education as an indicator of intelligence and communication ethics. This research aims to describe forms of hate speech on social media as well as analyze hate speech in educational communication in posts by Twitter social media users. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. Research data was obtained through listening, taking notes, and documenting uploads and comments from Twitter account users. The results of this research show that there is hate speech on social media in the form of videos, comments, and tweets. In the form of insulting speech, defamation, incitement, provocation, spreading false news, and blasphemy. So educational communication is needed to minimize acts of hate speech by involving educational communication functions including informative functions, educational functions, persuasive functions, and expressive functions. Abstract

This study was a qualitative study that explained the perception of Junior High School in West Jakarta in using Google Form app as the English assessment tool. This research aimed to know the students’ experience and the quality using Google form during online learning which conducted at Junior High School in west jakarta with 22 students as the sample and the data were collected by interviewing, and distributing questionnaires. They were asked to fill out a questionnaire and tiga of them were invited to participate in semi-structured interviews. The questionnaire and interview questions totaled 10 questions, each categorized based on the TAM (Technology Acceptance Model), namely perception of usefulness, perception of convenience, perception of intention, and perception of attitude. The results of this study indicate that second grade Junior High School students were found to have more positive perceptions than negative perceptions in the use of Google Form as a tool for assessing student assignments in students' English learning.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the strategies in differentiated learning carried out by English teachers in learning activities at SDI Mutiara Islam Al-Ittiba The method used by researchers in this study uses a qualitative approach, which uses interview techniques with sources to obtain accurate information. Differentiated learning is learning that adapts students' interests and talents to achieve good learning outcomes. Of course, this can be realized by using appropriate strategies that suit students' different learning styles. Therefore, teachers must support their students so they can achieve their learning goals. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that differentiated learning can significantly improve student learning outcomes by using appropriate strategies that suit students' learning styles to obtain maximum results.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Implementasi Media Puzzle Pada Materi Haji Untuk Meningkatkan Prestasi Belajar Siswa Kelas IX SMP Negeri 1 Nurussalam Kabupaten Aceh Timur. Perkembangan kurikulum di sekolah saat ini dituntut untuk melakukan perubahan dalam menerapkan pendekatan pembelajaran yang berpusat pada guru (teacher centered learning) menjadi pendekatan pembelajaran yang berpusat pada siswa (student-centered learning). Hal ini disesuaikan dengan tuntutan pembelajaran yang akan mempengaruhi perkembangan anak di masa depan, dimana anak harus memiliki kecakapan berpikir dan belajar (thinking and learning skils). Kecakapan- kecakapan tersebut diantaranya adalah kecakapan berpikir kritis (critical thinking), memecahkan masalah (problem solving), kolaborasi, dan kecakapan berkomunikasi. Kecakapan-kecakapan itu yang sering dikatakan sebagai Kecakapan Abad 21 yang harus dimiliki oleh siswa. Siswa dapat memiliki kecakapan- kecakapan itu apabila guru mampu mengembangkan pembelajaran dengan aktivitas kegiatan-kegiatan yang menantang siswa untuk berpikir kritis dalam memecahkan masalah. Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut di atas, pendekatan pembelajaran yang cukup menantang bagi guru adalah pendekatan pembelajaran berbasis masalah (Problem-based learning atau PBL). Dari 32 orang siswa yang ada di kelas IX memperoleh peningkatan prestasi belajarnya melalui penerapan media Puzzle dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa yang semula rata-rata 62,00 meningkat menjadi 83,33 atau sekitar 21,33 %.

Abstract

This study aims to describe and analyze about vocabulary practice program. The results of this study are expected to be used to improve the existence of vocabulary practice program. This study takes the background at MA Nurussalam Modern Islamic Boarding School Sidogede Belitang OKU Timur. The research was designed in qualitative interpretive research design and used descriptive survey in the type of cross-sectional survey. The data collection was conducted by observation, interview and distributing questionnaires. The data has been collected from the result of this study was analyzed by describe using tabulated the data graphically in the tables and discussed the explanation of each respondent’s answer through questionnaires and from that can be drawn the conclusion. The result of this study is shown: (1) this program played a role to improve the quality of speaking proved by increasing student’s competence of vocabulary and comprehension which hold in a week five times in 30 minutes after Shubuh prayer and school time and seemly made teaching and learning more attractive and be better (2) 84.9% of respondent agreed that student could improve their English ability by participation support agendas.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan membahas implementasi konsep pendidikan pesantren di Sekolah Islam Terpadu Raudhatul Ulum di era 5.0. Masalah yang diteliti adalah bentuk implementasi konsep pendidikan pesantren yang diterapkan, terutama dalam menghadapi era 5.0, serta faktor pendukung dan penghambatnya. Metode penelitian menggunakan metode kualitatif. Informan penelitian adalah pimpinan JSIT wilayah Sumsel, kepala sekolah dan beberapa guru di SIT Raudhatul Ulum Sakatiga. Pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan analisis kualitatif. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif yang menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif. Sumber primer penelitian ini adalah Ketua JSIT, kepala sekolah, dan guru baik pada tingkat SMP IT maupun SMA IT. Konsep pendidikan pesantren pada sekolah Islam terpadu yang diimplementasikan di SIT Raudhatul Ulum Sakatiga berorientasi pada  penyeimbangkan kualitas pendidikan umum dan pendidikan agama secara keseluruhan dengan menggunakan pemakaian teknologi terkini. Faktor yang mendukung implementasi konsep pendidikan pesantren di era 5.0 meliputi, penggunaan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi yang memadai, sumber daya manusia yang memahami teknologi, adanya fasilitas pendukung serta ketersediaan dana dan dukungan pemerintah. Faktor menghambat terdapat kesenjangan teknologi antara pendidik dan anak didik, sulit untuk menyesuaikan antara kurikulum pesantren dengan kurikulum SIT yang berbasis teknologi, serta kurangnya kesadaran guru akan pentingnya pendidikan digital.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the development of student religiosity in several activities that take place at SMA PGRI 4 Banjarmasin. This research method uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques in the form of interviews and observations. Observations were used to determine the existence of the vision, mission and goals of SMA PGRI 4 Banjarmasin, while interviews were conducted to determine the ongoing development of student religiosity in several activities. The data analysis is descriptive using a literature review using journals or books so that this research is structured systematically and can be understood with appropriate explanations. The results of this research show efforts to develop student religiosity at SMA PGRI 4 Banjarmasin which includes several activities, namely: Congregational Dhuha Prayer every school day in the prayer room, Reading the Asmaul Husna after carrying out congregational Dhuha prayers, Congregational Dhuha Prayer, Jum'ah at Taqwa which is held twice a month every Friday morning before the teaching and learning process in the school field and KSI (Islamic Study Group) which is held every Wednesday at 14.30-16.00 WITA.
