Abstract

The study aims to portray the model of waqf management by Achmad Wardi Eye Hospital (Rumah Sakit Mata Achmad Wardi or RSMAW) established by Indonesian Waqf Board (Badan Wakaf Indonesia or BWI) and Dompet Dhuafa (DD) in Serang, Banten, (hereinafter referred to RSMAW BWI-DD). Generally, the utilization of waqf assets for public facilities in Indonesia is still insignificant. Thus, the large potential of waqf has not yet delivered a significant economic and social impact. The study uses a qualitative method with library study and interviews as the data collection techniques. The findings show that RSMAW BWI-DD has applied all management procedures such planning, organizing, directing, and supervising activities. Meanwhile, the model of waqf management employed by RSMAW BWI-DD focuses on collecting waqf funds with Cash Waqf Linked Sukuk (CWLS) scheme and investing them to Indonesian sovereign sukuk. This model involves several parties, namely waqf nāẓir institution (Lembaga Nazhir Wakaf), Islamic financial institutions (called as Lembaga Keuangan Syariah Penerima Wakaf Uang or LKS PWU, Indonesian Waqf Board (Badan Wakaf Indonesia) and the Indonesian Ministry of Finance. The study concludes that management processes implemented by RSMAW BWI-DD are well-mannered in generating a positive impact to health sector in Indonesia.

Abstract

Background. The Istishna contract, from the point of view of mutsman (goods sold), has a special character, namely goods that are manufactured in nature, as explained in the theory of production, which, among other things, converts raw goods into finished goods. Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of revenue sharing on the results of mudharabah and musyarakah financing on Return On Investment (ROI) at PT. Bukopin Sharia Bank 2011-2020. Islamic banks have two financing principles: profit sharing (mudharabah) and profit-sharing (musharaka). This study uses the Partial Adjustment Model (PAM) research method. The population in this study is Islamic banking which is included in the group of Islamic Commercial Banks. The sample used in this study is Bukopin Sharia Bank and is sourced from data from the Bukopin Sharia Bank's annual financial report data. The data used in this study uses secondary data, namely data obtained indirectly from the source in the form of data on the annual financial statements of Bank Syariah Bukopin taken from the official website www.syariahbukopin.co.id. From the research that has been done, the results show that the mudharabah and musyarakah financing variables have a positive effect on Return On Investment (ROI). Based on the results of this study, it is expected that Islamic banking will further increase mudharabah and musyarakah financing. These two products are the hallmarks of Islamic banks, namely profit sharing, because they can affect the rate of return on investment.

Abstract

Background. Economic growth and financial development in Indonesia are supported by developments in the Islamic banking industry. The business continuity of Islamic banking is determined by financial performance, which is measured by the level of profitability. The profitability of Islamic commercial banks is thought to be influenced by macroeconomic variables and monetary policy interventions.Purpose. This study aims to analyze the effect of shocks on macroeconomic variables, including the real effective exchange rate and consumer price index, and monetary policy intervention through the policy instrument of the Indonesian central bank's benchmark interest rate, namely the BI Rate, and the effect of the capital adequacy ratio on the profitability of Islamic commercial banks in Indonesia in the short and long term.Method. This study employs error-correction model analysis to completely utilize secondary data from January 2015 to May 2022. Data gathered from the Financial Services Authority's (OJK) Sharia Banking Statistics and Fred Economic Data (FED)Results. The research results show that the real effective exchange rate and consumer price index affect the profitability of Indonesian commercial banks in the long term but do not have a significant effect on the profitability of Islamic commercial banks in the short term. Monetary policy does not have a significant effect in the short or long term. Meanwhile, the capital adequacy ratio has a significant influence on the profitability of Islamic commercial banks in the short and long term.Conclusion. Macroeconomic variable shocks have the ability to disrupt banking performance in the short term, and this situation shows that banking management has not put flexible policies and a strategic approach to short-term changes in place. Short-term changes are still managed from the standpoint of handling internal conditions, however management is fairly effective at controlling capital adequacy.
