Abstract

This study explores the application of noble moral values through teachers’ example and its impact on class V students’ social behavior in Purworejo SDN 03. Realizing the crucial role of education in character formation amid global challenges, this study aims to understand in depth how teachers act as role models and their influence on students’ behavior. Using a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study design, data were collected through non- participant observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation. Study results indicate that teachers consistently implement the values of honesty, responsibility, courtesy, concern, and fairness, both in and out of the classroom. The majority of grade V students showed good social behavior, reflecting courtesy, responsibility, concern, and cooperation, although a minority still showed less positive behavior. These positive relationships are supported by strong leadership, collaboration among teachers, and the school’s character development program. The study concluded that teachers’ example is a highly effective method for character education, significantly shaping students’ social behavior.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of learning through audiovisual media on the balance level of students’ study focus. Audiovisual media is considered capable of increasing students’ concentration and engagement in the learning process by stimulating the senses of sight and hearing simultaneously. The research method used was quantitative with an experimental approach, involving a number of students as the research sample. Data were collected through observations of learning focus and learning outcome tests before and after the application of audio visual media. The results of the study showed that learning using audiovisual media significantly improved students’ learning focus balance compared to conventional learning methods. Additionally, audiovisual media also enhances motivation and thorough understanding of the material. These findings support the use of audiovisual media as an effective learning strategy to create a more interactive and optimal learning atmosphere. The implications of this study are expected to provide a reference for educators in developing innovative and adaptive learning methods to students’ needs.

Abstract

One of the English skills which is important to be mastered by students is writing skills. Writing is creative and expressive process. Students need to explore their ideas to write comprehensively. However, there are still many students who make mistakes in writing. This study aims to determine the types of errors most often made by students in writing descriptive text with Grammarly software. Qualitative research design was used in this study. Error analysis in student writing with Grammarly software was applied to 2 classes with a total of 20 English education students. This research is expected to provide valuable insights into good writing procedures, especially in descriptive text writing and the use of Grammarly (AI) software platforms in improving students’ writing skills. The results of the research on error analysis and error classification with Grammarly software show that there are 4 errors made by students in writing descriptive text, namely correctness 46 (51%) errors, clarity 28 (31%) errors, engagement 11 (12%) errors and delivery 5 (6%) errors. With correctness 46 errors and clarity 28 errors as the most frequent types of errors made by students. These findings indicate that students need to improve their writing skills by utilizing the available Grammarly software platforms (AI).

Abstract

The country with the largest Muslim population in the world, the management of pilgrimage and Umrah is not only an administrative responsibility, but also a religious trust that must comply with the principles of sharia economics. This research aims to analyze the level of Shariah compliance in the management of Hajj and Umrah in Indonesia through a study on its policies and implementation. The research method adopted was a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques in the form of in-depth interviews with policy makers in the Ministry of Religious Affairs, Hajj Financial Management Agency (HJM) managers, as well as Umrah industry actors. Additionally, a documentation study of formal regulation as well as observation of practices in the field was conducted. The study results show that from a regulatory aspect, the Indonesian government has built a legal and institutional framework that supports the implementation of Hajj and Umrah based on Shariah principles. However, in its implementation there are still a number of challenges, such as lack of transparency of fund management, uneven service quality of Umrah pilgrimage trip organizers (PPIU), as well as weak Shariah supervision at the operational level. Some PPIUs have not fully implemented the principles of accountability and trustworthiness in service to the congregation. On the other hand, the management of funds by BPKH has led to Shariah investment, but still needs refinement to be more convenient and oriented to the interests of the congregation. The study recommended the strengthening of Shariah-based supervision systems, improved Shariah literacy for practitioners and congregants, as well as optimizing the Shariah Supervisory Board’s role in overseeing every stage of Hajj and Umrah management. Thus, Shariah compliance in the management of pilgrimage and Umrah in Indonesia can be realized thoroughly and sustainably

Abstract

The background for the author to discuss this is because of the decline in sales levels in 2020-2023, which was caused by the lack of product innovation in Sanjai Jaso Mandeh crackers, limited flavor variants and unattractive packaging designs, and high competition with similar businesses. As one of the traditional Minang snack products, Sanjai Jaso Mandeh crackers have great potential to be of interest to tourists as a typical Minangkabau souvenir. Therefore, the purpose of the researcher in conducting this research is to find out what kind of product strategy can be applied to increase sales in the Sanjai Jaso Mandeh cracker business in increasing sales in its business from a sharia business management perspective. The type of research that the author uses is field research using qualitative research methods, the data collection techniques that the author uses are through interviews, observation and documentation, the data analysis techniques used are SWOT analysis, internal factor evaluation (IFE) matrix analysis, SWOT matrix, and Score weighting. The results of the research conducted in the field can be concluded that the owner must increase product variations and improve the packaging design that is less attractive, in addition, the stage of the function of sharia business management, especially strategic planning, also needs to be maximized so that the main strengths of the Sanjai Jaso Mandeh cracker product such as its distinctive taste and strategic location can be utilized optimally to increase sales of Sanjai Jaso Mandeh crackers.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze employee productivity in utilizing technology to enhance task effectiveness at the Department of Education, Youth, and Sports of Badung Regency. The use of information technology in government workplaces is a crucial aspect in supporting performance and achieving organizational goals. This research employs a descriptive qualitative method with a case study approach to provide an in-depth description of employees’ experiences, perceptions, and challenges in integrating technology into daily work processes. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, direct observations, and document analysis. The findings indicate that most employees have utilized technologies such as data processing software, online communication platforms, and internal information systems to support task completion. However, there are still obstacles, including limited training, difficulty adapting to technological changes, and unequal access to digital infrastructure. The study concludes that productivity improvements through technology can be optimized with continuous training, adaptive internal policies, and strengthened digital infrastructure.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of office management in improving the quality of student administration at MTs Laboratorium UINSU. Office management is an essential element in supporting the smooth operation of administrative processes, including student data management, correspondence, and information services. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results show that the application of office management principles—such as work planning, task organization, supervision of administrative activities, and the use of information technology—can enhance the efficiency and accuracy of student administrative management. Therefore, effective implementation of office management has a positive impact on student administrative services at MTs Laboratorium UINSU.

Abstract

This study aims to know the effectiveness of self-control techniques in decreasing online gaming addiction in a college student. Using the Single Subject Research (SSR) method with an A–B design and a follow-up phase, this study focused on observation of subjects’ gradual changes in behavior through three phases: baseline, intervention, and follow-up. The subjects were selected through purposive sampling techniques based on the criteria of online game addiction according to the theoretical indicators of Chen Chang (2008) as well as Lemmens et al. (2016). The intervention was conducted through self-control techniques for 10 days, accompanied by the use of self-monitoring and behavioral contracts. The study results showed there was a decrease in game playing duration from an average of 3 hours 26 minutes/day in the baseline phase to 1 hour 22 minutes/day in the follow-up phase. Additionally, subjects showed improvements in managing stress more adaptively, a decrease in impulse play, and awareness of the negative impact of addiction. These findings indicate that self-control techniques are effective in modifying online gaming addiction behaviors, as well as supporting the development of preventive strategies against digital addictive behaviors among college students.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji peran seni gerak dan tari dalam pengembangan kognitif anak usia dini melalui pendekatan kualitatif. Seni gerak dan tari merupakan bagian integral dari pendidikan anak usia dini yang dapat mendukung perkembangan kognitif melalui stimulasi sensorimotor, peningkatan perhatian, dan pengembangan keterampilan berpikir kritis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa partisipasi aktif dalam aktivitas seni gerak dan tari dapat meningkatkan kemampuan memori, konsentrasi, serta pemecahan masalah anak-anak. Selain itu, aktivitas ini juga memfasilitasi interaksi sosial dan emosional yang positif, yang turut berkontribusi pada perkembangan kognitif. Temuan ini memberikan wawasan berharga bagi pendidik dan praktisi pendidikan anak usia dini untuk mengintegrasikan seni gerak dan tari dalam kurikulum sebagai strategi efektif dalam mendukung perkembangan kognitif anak.

Abstract

Digital transformation in public services has become a necessity in today’s era, including in the health sector, which demands fast, efficient, and easily accessible services for the public. Amid the rapid development of information technology, conventional health services are increasingly seen as inadequate in addressing the needs of modern society, particularly in terms of speed and equitable access. This situation highlights the need for technology-based innovations to improve the quality of public health services. One such innovation is the implementation of digital systems, such as the e-health application. The Surabaya City Government, through Puskesmas Sawahan, has implemented the e-health system to enhance the efficiency, quality, and accessibility of healthcare services for the community. However, its implementation still requires thorough evaluation to ensure that it truly meets public needs and aligns with the principles of e-government. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the e-health application in the context of public service delivery based on e-government. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed, with data collected through in-depth interviews, direct observations, and document analysis. The theoretical framework refers to eight indicators of digital effectiveness proposed by Pedrosa et al. (2020): ease of use, usefulness, simplicity, trust, availability, comprehensibility, consistency, and service speed. The findings indicate that e-health generally improves administrative efficiency and broadens access to health services. However, several challenges remain, such as limited access to digital devices among the public, a lack of inclusive features for people with disabilities, and unclear data privacy policies. Based on these findings, the study recommends enhancing service features and ensuring transparency in data management as strategic steps toward a sustainable, equitable, and inclusive digital health service system.
