Abstract

The value of Almighty Godhead in the first principle of Pancasila demands respect for religious figures and institutions. This research analyzes the violation of this value in the case of the Trans7 program, 'Xpose Uncensored,' aired on October 13, 2025, which was deemed to belittle the Lirboyo Islamic Boarding School and one of its caretakers, KH Anwar Manshur. The content included narration suggesting the giving of envelopes to the Kiai and discussing a luxurious lifestyle. This qualitative case study utilizes literature review from official documents and credible news sources. The analysis concludes that the broadcast violated the value of Almighty Godhead by diminishing the dignity of religious figures and institutions, and failed to meet the principles of the Broadcast Behavior Guidelines and Broadcast Program Standards (P3SPS) regarding religious sensitivity. This violation had a significant impact, causing social unrest and potential conflict, supported by strong condemnations from various groups such as LBH Ansor, Himasal, PW GP Ansor Jatim, and PBNU. Therefore, media is urged to strengthen internal oversight and uphold balanced broadcasting ethics.

Abstract

This article analyzes Hidden Power Negotiations through the lens of Military Political Ecology in South Asia, a region characterized by historical rivalries and extreme climate vulnerability. The research objective is to uncover how military power and geopolitical competition (US-China) intrinsically shape and are shaped by the environmental crisis. The research method uses a qualitative approach with a Political Ecology analysis study of literature and strategic documents. The findings indicate that power negotiations operate through military alliances (China-Pakistan) and strategic infrastructure projects, which militarize environmental issues. This phenomenon transforms resource scarcity into a justification for military mobilization, which exacerbates socio-ecological inequality and neglects grassroots environmental peacebuilding solutions. In conclusion, the region faces an Ecological Security Dilemma, demanding a shift from hard power dominance toward inclusive environmental governance to achieve sustainable stability.

Abstract

This study discusses how the public responds to Operation Zebra and how this response affects the image of the Indonesian National Police (Polri). In this digital age, public opinion is often expressed through social media and online news, so this study uses Brand24 to monitor online conversations and public sentiment. Data was collected during the period of November–December 2025 using keywords related to Operation Zebra and traffic law enforcement activities. The results of the study show that Operation Zebra was a topic that was widely discussed by the public. Positive sentiment was more prevalent, especially among people who believed that this operation helped improve order and safety on the roads. However, negative sentiment still existed, usually related to experiences that were considered unfair or unclear procedures during raids. The majority of conversations originated from social media and news portals, indicating that public opinion is shaped by a combination of direct experiences and media coverage. Overall, the findings of this study show that Operation Zebra contributes significantly to the positive image of the Indonesian National Police, although public criticism still needs to be addressed. Monitoring digital sentiment in this manner can serve as a basis for evaluation for the Indonesian National Police in improving transparency, service, and public communication in the future.

Abstract

The phenomenon of brain rot has emerged as a growing concern among university students due to excessive exposure to digital media such as TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube, which may impair attention, self-regulation, and cognitive performance. This study aims to examine the relationship between brain rot, anxiety, and learning focus among university students, and to explore its implications from both psychological and Islamic perspectives. This research uses a literature review approach by analyzing journals, books, and scientific reports published between 2017 and 2025, focusing on studies related to digital media use, cognitive decline, and student well-being. The findings indicate that excessive digital consumption correlates with higher levels of anxiety, reduced attention span, impaired executive functions, and lower academic motivation. The study emphasizes the importance of digital literacy, screen time management, and self-awareness interventions to mitigate brain rot and maintain students' mental and academic well-being.

Abstract

This study examines the communication characteristics of speakers of the Javanese Ngapak (Brebes) dialect and the Semarang dialect in online interactions conducted via WhatsApp. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, the research analyzes phonological, lexical, and communicative variations that appear in cross-dialect exchanges. The findings show that Ngapak speakers maintain open vowel pronunciations and use distinctive lexical items such as nyong and rika, while Semarang speakers tend to use front vowels and vocabulary such as aku, kowe, and the particle lho. Despite these linguistic differences, both speakers communicate effectively through meaning negotiation and socially equal interaction. The results indicate that dialectal differences do not impede communication; instead, they demonstrate dynamic socio-linguistic adaptation among contemporary Javanese speakers. This study contributes to sociolinguistic and intercultural communication research and provides practical insights for dialect awareness, language education, and regional language preservation in the digital era.

Abstract

Merbau District in the Meranti Islands Regency has potential in agriculture, fisheries, oil, and tourism, with sago as its main commodity. Village funds support its utilization, but the Village Original Revenue (PADes) has not yet been established, and additional income is generated only by a few villages through cooperation with PT RAPP, with Bagan Melibur Village able to maintain it. Only three villages have active Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes), while six others have not optimally managed their regional potential. This study aims to examine the capacity of the Bagan Melibur Village government in generating PADes through local resources, as well as the supporting and inhibiting factors in producing PADes. The author used a qualitative approach to gain an in-depth understanding of Bagan Melibur Village through interviews, observations, and documentation. The research was conducted in the village due to its accessible location, involving 10 competent informants. Data were analyzed through four stages: collection, reduction, presentation, and conclusion. The results indicate that the Bagan Melibur Village government’s capacity to increase PADes is fairly good, supported by clear regulations, an organized structure, and competent personnel capable of managing village resources and finances transparently and accountably through participatory planning and digital administration, although challenges remain such as low community participation, limited entrepreneurial skills, rising raw material costs, and market access and geographic constraints

Abstract

This study analyzes the implementation of Islamic Economic Law principles on the commission and bonus schemes applied by Evermos, a sharia-based social commerce platform. Using a qualitative approach with descriptive-analytic methods, data were collected through documentation studies sourced from the Evermos official website, sustainability reports, DSN-MUI fatwas, and relevant muamalah literature. Data were examined using content analysis and normative comparison to assess sharia compliance. The results show that the commission system aligns with the akad wakālah bil ujrah, where resellers act as agents entitled to fair compensation based on their marketing performance. Meanwhile, the bonus scheme corresponds to the concept of ju‘ālah, permissible as long as it is transparent, free from gharar and maisir, and not structured as prohibited multi-level schemes. Overall, Evermos’ commission and bonus mechanisms meet the principles of justice, transparency, and maslahah required in Islamic Economic Law. The study contributes to the theoretical development of sharia business governance and offers practical recommendations for strengthening sharia compliance in digital commerce.

Abstract

Stock prices in Indonesia’s mining sector are strongly influenced by macroeconomic factors, particularly the exchange rate of the Indonesian rupiah against the United States dollar (USD/IDR) and the benchmark interest rate set by Bank Indonesia (the BI 7-Day Reverse Repo Rate). Exchange rate fluctuations have the potential to increase foreign exchange risk for export-oriented mining companies, while changes in interest rates can affect the cost of capital and investment decisions. This study aims to analyze the impact of exchange rate and interest rate fluctuations on the stock prices of mining sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The data used consist of monthly secondary data for the period 2020–2024 obtained from Bank Indonesia, the Indonesia Stock Exchange, and Statistics Indonesia. The research method employed is multiple linear regression with classical assumption tests to examine the relationship between the independent variables (exchange rate and interest rate) and the dependent variable (mining sector stock prices). The results of this study are expected to provide a theoretical contribution to the development of capital market literature, as well as practical considerations for investors and policymakers in formulating investment strategies in the mining sector.
