Abstract

This study aims to describe the form of argumentative text in the film Pengkhianatan G30S/PKI, analyze its influence on the understanding of national history, and determine the audience's interpretation of the historical narrative presented in the film. The study uses a descriptive qualitative method with the object of research being the film Pengkhianatan G30S/PKI which is used as a stimulus media in building an understanding of national history. The study involved five informants who were asked to watch the film in its entirety and write an argumentative text in the form of cause and effect based on their understanding of the film's content. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews, documentation, and literature studies. Data analysis used the Miles and Huberman model which includes data reduction, data presentation, as well as drawing conclusions and verification. The results of the study show that the film Pengkhianatan G30S/PKI contains various forms of argumentative text constructed through dialogue, narration, character depiction, and visual scenes that tend to use a cause and effect pattern. The film has an influence on the understanding of national history because it is able to shape the audience's perception and interpretation of historical events. In addition, films also have relevance to history education as a learning medium that can increase students' interest and understanding, although their use needs to be accompanied by a critical approach to avoid a one-sided understanding of history.

Abstract

This study examines the role of QR Code-based ordering systems in improving service quality and operational efficiency in Food and Beverage (FB) Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), using Mie Gacoan as a case study. The research employs a qualitative approach through a systematic literature review of six relevant studies published between 2022 and 2025. The findings indicate that QR Code-based ordering systems reduce customer waiting times, minimize order recording errors, and enhance employee productivity by streamlining the ordering process. In terms of service quality, the technology supports key SERVQUAL dimensions, including responsiveness, reliability, and tangibles, while improving overall customer experience. Furthermore, the system contributes to more efficient operational workflows and better resource utilization. Despite these benefits, challenges such as varying levels of digital literacy and initial technology investment remain important considerations. This study provides insights into the potential of digital ordering systems to support service and operational improvements in FB MSMEs.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the psychosocial dynamics and effectiveness of social work interventions for neglected elderly individuals with reality disorientation and hallucinations. Using a qualitative approach with a case study design, the research was conducted over 52 days at the Social Protection Home of Medan City involving a 61 year old elderly woman (Mrs. R) who experienced neglect following her husband's death and abandonment by her two sons. Data collection employed in depth interviews, participatory observation, genograms, and eco maps. The intervention integrated Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Reality Orientation, Validation Therapy, basic needs fulfillment, skin infection treatment, and Christian spiritual guidance. Results showed significant improvements in physical hygiene, healing of skin infections, reduced hallucination frequency, increased communication focus duration, and social adaptation. However, family support systems remained unrecovered due to the sons' total neglect. The study concludes that handling neglected elderly with psychosocial disorders requires a holistic approach and sustainable long term institutional care.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of family environment on children’s learning motivation in underprivileged communities. The family environment is the primary factor affecting children’s psychological development and learning enthusiasm, particularly under economically constrained conditions. This research employed a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through in-depth observation, interviews, and documentation. Research subjects were school-age children (7–15 years old) and their parents from low-income families. Data analysis followed three stages: data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, supported by source and technique triangulation to ensure data credibility. The findings reveal that low economic conditions, limited parental education, and unsupportive parenting styles are the main inhibiting factors of children’s learning motivation. However, emotional support, parental attention, and warm communication within the family were proven to significantly enhance children’s learning motivation despite economic limitations. These findings align with motivation theory and Bronfenbrenner’s ecological theory of human development, which emphasize the role of the family microsystem in shaping children’s intrinsic motivation. Therefore, strengthening family capacity through parental assistance programs is the primary recommendation of this study.

Abstract

This study aims to describe and analyze the principal's management in improving teachers' work culture at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri (MAN) 1 Merangin, Jambi Province. The research focuses on three main aspects: (1) how the principal manages MAN 1 Merangin, (2) how the teachers' work culture is at MAN 1 Merangin, and (3) how the principal's management improves teachers' work culture. This study employs a qualitative approach using a case study method. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation studies. Data analysis was conducted using the interactive model of Miles and Huberman, encompassing data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. Data validity was tested through source and method triangulation. The results show that: (1) The principal's management at MAN 1 Merangin includes vision-mission-based work planning, organizing human resources according to qualifications, humanistic motivation strategies, and regular but not yet optimal supervision; (2) Teachers' work culture reflects values of discipline, social integrity, morality, and work ethic that are generally good, though some weaknesses remain in discipline and openness; (3) The principal has attempted to integrate POAC management functions in developing teachers' work culture but still requires a more systematic and structured program. This study recommends strengthening the principal's transformational leadership competence and reinforcing reward and punishment mechanisms in developing teachers' work culture.

Abstract

This study discusses critical periods in human development and intervention strategies that can support optimal individual growth at every stage of life. Critical periods are phases when individuals are highly sensitive to environmental stimulation, so the experiences received greatly influence physical, cognitive, social, and emotional development. This study aims to explain the concept of critical periods, the forms of critical periods in human development, the impacts of failure in handling critical periods, and intervention strategies that can be implemented by families, schools, and professionals. The research method used is library research with a qualitative descriptive approach through the analysis of scientific literature, developmental psychology books, and related journals. The results show that critical periods occur from the prenatal stage, infancy, early childhood, to adolescence. Lack of stimulation and environmental support during these stages can cause delays in language, social, emotional, and cognitive development. Intervention strategies such as responsive parenting, developmental stimulation, early detection, developmentally appropriate education, and professional support are important in helping individuals successfully pass through critical periods. Therefore, collaboration among families, schools, communities, and professionals is essential to support optimal human development.

Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology has transformed communication patterns and social interactions, making social media an inseparable part of young people's daily lives. Alongside its benefits, social media also presents various ethical challenges, including the spread of misinformation, cyberbullying, hate speech, and irresponsible online behavior. These conditions highlight the need for moral and ethical guidance that can direct young people toward responsible digital engagement. This study aims to analyze the role of Islamic education in shaping social media ethics among the younger generation and to identify Islamic values that can serve as guidelines for behavior in digital spaces. The research employed a qualitative approach using a library research method. Data were collected from primary sources, including the Qur'an, Hadith, and major works on Islamic education, as well as secondary sources such as scientific journals, books, and previous studies related to digital ethics and social media. The findings indicate that Islamic education contributes significantly to the development of ethical digital behavior through the internalization of moral values, particularly tabayyun (verification of information), respectful communication, amanah (trustworthiness), and moral responsibility. These values encourage critical thinking, responsible information sharing, and constructive online interaction. The study concludes that strengthening digital literacy alone is insufficient to address ethical issues in social media use; rather, integrating Islamic educational values is essential for fostering a generation that is technologically competent, morally aware, and socially responsible in the digital era
