Abstract

This study aims to analyze adolescents’ understanding of religious tolerance values through the perspective of Lawrence Kohlberg’s theory of moral development. The research employed a literature review method with a descriptive qualitative approach, supported by field data collected through questionnaires administered to 17 students of MTs At-Taqwa Cihampelas. Data sources were obtained from scholarly journals, books, and previous studies relevant to religious tolerance, adolescent moral development, Pancasila Education, and guidance and counseling services. The findings indicate that the majority of students demonstrated a high level of understanding of tolerance, accounting for 58.82% of respondents, while 41.18% were categorized as having a moderate level of understanding. Analysis based on Kohlberg’s theory revealed a positive trend in moral development, ranging from the pre-conventional stage to the post-conventional stage. The high level of tolerance understanding was reflected in students’ respect for religious differences, tolerant behavior within the school environment, and awareness of the importance of peaceful coexistence. These findings suggest that adolescents’ moral development significantly influences their ability to understand and internalize the values of tolerance. Furthermore, inclusive religious education, Pancasila values, family environment, and social experiences were identified as important factors in shaping tolerant attitudes among adolescents. This study also highlights the crucial role of education and guidance and counseling services in stimulating moral development and strengthening religious tolerance within the school setting.

Abstract

This study examines the Islamic educational values contained in the Bugis life philosophy known as Lempu’ na Getteng, as well as the efforts to form and implement honest character within Bugis families in Manding Sub-district, Polewali District, Polewali Mandar Regency. This research employs a qualitative methodology with a case study approach. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation involving traditional leaders, religious figures, community leaders, youth leaders, and Bugis families in the Binangaliu neighborhood. The results indicate that: (1) Lempu’ na Getteng embodies three core Islamic educational values, namely the values of tauhid/akidah (monotheism/faith), akhlak (morality), and kemasyarakatan (social-communal relations); (2) The effort to build honest character is carried out through cultural habituation, family education, and the preservation of Bugis oral literature including pappaseng and warekkada, which encompasses three dimensions of honesty — lempu’ lao ri dewata sewwae (honesty rooted in awareness of Allah’s supervision), lempu’ ri padanna rupa tauwwe (honesty toward fellow human beings), and lempu’ ri aleta (honesty toward oneself); (3) The implementation of Lempu’ na Getteng values in family education is carried out through modeling, habituation, and emotional communication that strengthen spiritual and moral bonds between parents and children. This study concludes that Lempu’ na Getteng is a representation of Islamic educational values within a local wisdom framework that is relevant and contextual in shaping a generation of Bugis with honest, moral, and high-integrity character.

Abstract

Domestic violence (DV) has serious impacts on the psychological, social, and economic conditions of victims. This study aims to analyze the casework assistance process for an adult female victim of DV conducted during a Field Work Practice at the National Population and Family Planning Board (BKKBN) of North Sumatra Province. The research employed a qualitative approach with a single case study design. The participant was a 35-year-old female DV victim. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation. The assessment integrated the three-round Delphi Method and Venn Diagram to map the client's barriers and potentials. The results showed that the client experienced severe psychological pressure, economic dependence, and limited access to services. The casework intervention, which included emotional support, self-esteem enhancement, victim rights education, and facilitation of formal services, successfully fostered positive changes, reflected in increased courage, improved family communication, and better understanding of available protection services. This study contributes to the development of social work practice in handling DV cases within family resilience institutions.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze drug abuse as a high-risk behavior through psychological and social perspectives and to examine effective behavioral intervention models in handling drug abuse cases. Drug abuse is considered a multidimensional social problem involving biological, psychological, social, economic, and environmental factors. The study employs a descriptive qualitative approach through literature review and theoretical analysis based on psychological and social science perspectives. The findings indicate that drug abuse is strongly associated with low self-control, cognitive distortion, social pressure, and permissive environments. In neuropsychological perspectives, addictive substances affect the brain reward system, resulting in compulsive behavior and dependence. The study also reveals that effective behavioral interventions should be implemented comprehensively through preventive, promotive, curative, rehabilitative, and structural approaches. Furthermore, collaboration among families, communities, and government institutions is essential to create sustainable social control and rehabilitation systems. Therefore, integrated behavioral intervention is considered one of the most relevant approaches in addressing drug abuse problems systematically and sustainably.

Abstract

Family resilience refers to the capacity of the family system to endure, adapt, and flourish in the face of stress and adversity. Marriage counseling serves as a professional intervention aimed at helping couples resolve conflict, strengthen communication, and build a solid relational foundation. This literature review aims to analyze the role of marriage counseling in building family resilience based on national and international scientific research. The method used is a literature study by reviewing relevant academic sources. The findings indicate that marriage counseling encompassing premarital counseling, post-marital counseling, value-based counseling, and therapeutic approaches such as Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and Structural Family Therapy significantly contributes to improving relationship quality, family resilience, and the psychological well-being of family members. Key success factors include active counselor involvement, couple readiness, culturally grounded approaches, and the integration of spiritual and local values. The discussion also highlights practical challenges faced by counselors, including managing uncooperative clients, emotion regulation, and value conflicts between couples. This study concludes that marriage counseling is an effective strategic instrument in realizing resilient and thriving families.

Abstract

This study aims to critically examine modern literature on Arabic language learning for early childhood (AUD) with a focus on pedagogical approaches and the use of digital media. Using a qualitative research method in the form of a library research with a critical discourse analysis approach, this study examines 30 journal articles indexed in SINTA and Scopus published between 2019 and 2024. The results show a paradigm shift from memorization-based methods to communicative and multisensory approaches integrated with interactive digital applications. However, key challenges include teacher readiness, lack of content appropriate for children's cognitive development, and digital overstimulation. These findings imply the need for a curriculum framework that accommodates a balance between digital exposure and socio-affective interaction.

Abstract

The widespread dissemination of hoaxes and unverified information in the digital era has become a serious threat to the character development of students, given the high rate of social media usage among Indonesian youth which has reached hundreds of millions of active users. This study aims to describe and analyze the role of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers in instilling the attitude of tabayyun toward digital information from the perspective of QS. Al-Hujurat verse 6. This research employs a library research method with a qualitative descriptive approach through content analysis of relevant primary and secondary literature sources. The findings indicate that PAI teachers hold a conceptual and strategic role encompassing four key functions: as educators who integrate tabayyun values into the curriculum, mentors who cultivate students' critical awareness, motivators who foster the willingness to verify information, and role models (uswatun hasanah) who directly practice Islamic digital ethics. This study concludes that the value of tabayyun in QS. Al-Hujurat verse 6 is highly relevant as a pedagogical foundation in PAI learning in the digital era, as it integrates spiritual, social, and intellectual dimensions that align with digital literacy principles, enabling its internalization to shape a generation of Muslim youth who are critical, selective, and responsible in their digital media conduct.

Abstract

Teachers' information and communication technology (ICT) competency is a crucial factor in supporting innovative learning processes in early childhood education. However, some teachers still experience difficulties utilizing technology in their learning activities. This situation necessitates the need for effective education and training (diklat) management strategies to improve teachers' ICT competency. This research employed a qualitative approach with a case study conducted at Pembina 2 Kindergarten in Medan. Data were obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation, then analyzed using an interactive analysis model encompassing data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that the training implementation contributed to improving teachers' understanding of the use of technology in learning. However, the training implementation still faced obstacles such as differences in technology proficiency among teachers and limited opportunities to participate in training. To address these challenges, the school implemented a strategy of knowledge sharing and mentoring among teachers in the use of learning technology. A planned and sustainable training management strategy can improve teachers' ICT competency and support a more effective and innovative learning process.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the implementation of the Team Games Tournament (TGT) method in microteaching for the material of Faith in Angels to address the learning characteristics of Generation Z. In the digital era, the primary challenge in Islamic Education (PAI) is transforming abstract theological topics into interactive and relevant lessons for students. The research method used is descriptive qualitative, focusing on pre-service PAI teacher students in microteaching courses. Data collection techniques included observation of teaching simulations, in-depth interviews, and analysis of lesson plan documents (RPP). The results indicate that the TGT method increases active engagement among students, transforms the classroom atmosphere into a more dynamic one through healthy competition, and facilitates the visualization of angels' duties in daily life through academic games. These findings confirm that game-based cooperative learning strategies are highly effective in meeting the psychological needs of Generation Z, who favor challenges and immediate feedback, while simultaneously strengthening spiritual understanding in the era of disruption.

Abstract

The development of digital technology has created new opportunities in the field of education, including early childhood education. One form of technology integration in learning is the use of digital educational games, which can help teachers create a more engaging, interactive, and enjoyable learning experience for children. This study aims to examine the implementation of digital educational games developed through education and training programs and to identify the challenges teachers face in applying them in schools. This study employed a qualitative research method with teachers from a private kindergarten in Medan City as the research subjects. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that digital educational games have significant potential as an attractive learning medium for early childhood learners. However, several challenges remain in their implementation, including limited digital literacy among teachers, insufficient experience in integrating games with learning materials, and the time required to adapt to new technologies. Therefore, further training and continuous mentoring are needed to ensure that digital educational games can be utilized optimally in early childhood education (ECE) learning environments.
