Abstract

This study aims to examine and analyze the influence of teachers work experience, work climate, and professional competence on innovative behavior at SMA Negeri 1 Tondano. This study employed a quantitative approach using a descriptive correlational method. A saturated sampling or census technique was used, in which the entire population of 45 teachers was selected as the research sample. Data were collected through a Likert-scale questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability. The data analysis techniques included prerequisite analysis tests (normality, linearity, and multicollinearity), multiple regression analysis, partial hypothesis testing (t-test), simultaneous hypothesis testing (F-test), and the coefficient of determination. The results showed that: (1) teachers work experience had a positive and significant partial effect on innovative behavior (t-calculated = 3.421; p 0.05); (2) work climate had a positive and significant partial effect on innovative behavior (t-calculated = 2.985; p 0.05); (3) teachers professional competence had a positive and significant partial effect on innovative behavior (t-calculated = 3.752; p 0.05); and (4) work experience, work climate, and professional competence simultaneously had a significant effect on innovative behavior at SMA Negeri 1 Tondano (F-calculated = 24.56; p 0.05), with a contribution of 68.5%, as indicated by the R value. These findings confirm that improving teachers innovative behavior requires good synergy among accumulated work experience, a supportive and conducive work climate, and the strengthening of professional competence.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the widespread use of generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies, such as ChatGPT, by final-year students as an assisting tool in thesis writing. Although this technology accelerates the technical aspects of writing, its adoption has raised academic concerns regarding the potential decline in higher-order cognitive abilities, particularly critical thinking skills. This study aims to analyze the effect of AI application utilization on students critical thinking skills during the thesis-writing process in the Economics Education Study Program, Faculty of Economics and Business, Manado State University (Unima). Using a quantitative approach with a descriptive correlational method, the study involved 112 final-year students selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using descriptive statistical tests and simple linear regression with SPSS. The results indicate that the use of AI applications has a significant effect on students critical thinking skills, with a coefficient of determination (R) of 0.294 (29.4%) and a t-value of 6.832 with a significance level of 0.000 ( 0.05). These findings indicate that the use of AI without adequate critical digital literacy may reduce analytical sensitivity and lead to cognitive dependence (cognitive offloading). Therefore, strengthening academic guidance and metacognitive literacy is essential to enable students to position AI as a productivity accelerator without compromising the quality of scientific reasoning.

Abstract

The digitalization of public administration requires guarantees of security and personal data protection as part of privacy rights safeguarded by the constitution and human rights; however, various data breaches indicate weak supervision and accountability mechanisms of data-managing institutions, resulting in suboptimal protection. This study aims to examine the legal framework of personal data protection and privacy rights from a human rights perspective and to analyze the juridical implications of human rights principles in Law Number 27 of 2022 concerning Personal Data Protection. The method used is normative juridical research with a statutory approach through library research and qualitative analysis of primary, secondary, and tertiary legal materials. The results show that privacy rights are recognized as human rights obligating the state to respect, protect, and fulfill these rights through the regulation of data subject rights, data controller obligations, supervisory mechanisms, and legal sanctions ensuring equality before the law and remedies for misuse of personal data. The novelty of this research lies in the integrative analysis between human rights principles and the construction of state responsibility in personal data protection based on national regulation. It is concluded that the regulation provides a comprehensive legal basis, but its effectiveness requires cross-sector regulatory harmonization; therefore, the establishment of an independent data protection authority, strengthened integrated supervision, and standardized data management are recommended to ensure optimal privacy protection.

Abstract

This study examines the phenomenon of economic exploitation within religious communities through an exegetical study of 1 Timothy 6:6–10, which states that the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. This Pastoral Epistle emerged from the struggles of the Ephesian church, which was confronted with false teachings in which godliness was promoted as a means of gaining financial profit. This study employs a qualitative method using textual analysis and a socio-historical approach, exploring the socio-economic, political, and religious context of first-century Ephesus that provides the background for the writing of the epistle. The findings indicate that 1 Timothy 6:6–10 offers a sharp social critique of exploitative economic practices by emphasizing that true godliness must be accompanied by contentment with basic necessities. The desire to become rich, by contrast, leads people into various foolish and harmful desires that ultimately result in destruction. This study recommends that the church, as a social institution, has a responsibility to serve as an example in ethical teaching, liberate its members from the grip of economic greed, and promote alternative economic practices that uphold justice and the common good.

Abstract

This study examines the strategic determinants and performance consequences of Energy Transition Strategy Intensity in Indonesian power companies. Drawing on Institutional Theory, the Resource-Based View, Corporate Governance Theory, and Dynamic Capability Theory, the study investigates the effects of Institutional Pressure, Firm Characteristics, Corporate Governance, and Dynamic Capabilities on transition strategy and firm performance. A quantitative explanatory approach was applied to 42 Indonesian electricity companies during 2021–2025, generating  firm-year observations analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling. The results show that Institutional Pressure, Firm Characteristics, Corporate Governance, and Dynamic Capabilities significantly influence Energy Transition Strategy Intensity, with Dynamic Capabilities emerging as the strongest determinant. High Leverage constrains strategic flexibility and transition investment. Energy Transition Strategy Intensity has a strong positive effect on Non-Financial Performance, particularly environmental, social, and governance outcomes, emission reductions, stakeholder trust, and organizational legitimacy, while its positive effect on Financial Performance is weaker and more gradual. The strategy also mediates the relationships between Institutional Pressure, Corporate Governance, and firm performance, while Dynamic Capabilities strengthen the effect of Institutional Pressure on transition intensity. The study concludes that energy transition is a capability-driven strategic reconfiguration process rather than merely a regulatory compliance initiative. Regulatory alignment, organizational capability development, effective governance, and financial flexibility are therefore essential to support sustainable transformation and long-term value creation in the electricity sector.

Abstract

Border markets are highly multilingual spaces in which indigenous languages encounter national languages, regional lingua francas, migrant languages, and languages associated with cross-border trade. This article examines the resilience of the Skou language in the Skouw border market on the Indonesia–Papua New Guinea (PNG) border. The study asks how Indigenous Skou marketeers maintain their heritage language while operating within a multilingual and increasingly migrant-dominated commercial environment. A qualitative approach was employed through interviews with four Skou informants in Abepura and Skou Mabo, Jayapura, in May 2026. The participants included three individuals connected to the Skouw Market and one elder identified by the researcher as having particularly fluent and clear command of Skou. The findings indicate that Skou remains an important resource for family interaction, intra-community communication, cross-border relationships, privacy, identity construction, and social cohesion. The market therefore functions not only as an economic space but also as a social domain in which Skou speakers reproduce their linguistic identity. The study further identifies emerging revitalization practices, including the teaching of basic Skou expressions in Skouw Mabo Elementary School, Bible translation, dictionary development, and intergenerational teaching. However, these efforts coexist with substantial language shift among younger generations. The article argues that the Skou case illustrates a form of linguistic enclave resilience, in which a numerically marginalized indigenous group uses concentrated social networks and selected communicative domains to maintain its heritage language within a linguistically dominant environment. The study contributes to discussions of language maintenance by demonstrating that border markets can simultaneously accelerate language shift and provide spaces for minority-language reproduction.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the Church's pastoral care for families living with individuals suffering from mental disorders (hereinafter referred to as "patients"). The research focuses on the Church's holistic role in providing support to families who share a home with a patient. The study seeks to make a theological contribution to the development of Church pastoral care practices, specifically regarding families living with patients. A qualitative method was employed, utilizing a case study approach focused on the Polan family, who live with three patients in Simatibung village. The findings reveal that the patients' families—particularly those living in the same household—are the most significantly affected by the patient's condition and the stigma associated with mental disorders. However, families generally do not prepare themselves to act as caregivers, resulting in limited knowledge and experience. These limitations cause stigma to heavily influence the family's reactions toward the patient. Feelings of shame, distress, and confusion leave families feeling powerless and vulnerable to both internal and external conflicts. Consequently, there is a clear need for families living with patients to receive pastoral care from the Church to sustain and foster hope. Church pastoral care provides a space for families to gain an accurate understanding of mental disorders, guiding them to seek appropriate psychiatric treatment for the patient. The presence of a pastoral caregiver is invaluable to these families, empowering them to take the right steps regarding the patient's treatment.

Abstract

This study examines the development of a contextual ecclesiology in the era of disruption, focusing on the position and response of the church to social changes brought about by the digital revolution. Disruption as a socio-economic phenomenon has transformed patterns of interaction, communication, and spirituality within society, including among church congregations. This study employs a qualitative method with a descriptive-analytical approach through a literature review of theological documents and the thoughts of theologians such as Martin Luther, Jürgen Moltmann, and Kosuke Koyama. The findings indicate that the church faces the challenge of maintaining its identity as the body of Christ while simultaneously adapting to the changing times. The church is called to develop a contextual ecclesiology by utilizing digital technology for ministry without losing the essence of fellowship, teaching, and witness. This study recommends that the church adopt approaches to digital discipleship, holistic ministry, and social solidarity as responses to disruption while remaining firmly grounded in a sound theological foundation.

Abstract

Stunting remains a social-policy and equity issue because its distribution reflects not only nutritional intake but also family support, access to basic services, and regional inequality. This study examines the association of social interventions and basic services with provincial stunting prevalence in Indonesia using aggregate data from the 2024 Indonesian Nutrition Status Survey (SSGI). The ecological cross-sectional analysis covered 36 provinces with complete published data. Provincial stunting prevalence was modeled using family-assistance coverage by Family Support Teams (TPK), exclusive breastfeeding, access to adequate drinking water, and access to adequate/safe sanitation. Multiple linear regression with HC3 heteroskedasticity-robust standard errors was used, followed by Huber M-estimation as a sensitivity analysis. The model explained 40.4% of provincial variation (R=0.404). Sanitation coverage showed the most consistent association: each one-percentage-point increase was associated with a 0.427 percentage-point lower stunting prevalence (95% CI -0.817 to -0.037; p=0.033). A 10-point increase therefore corresponded to approximately 4.27 points lower prevalence, other predictors held constant. TPK assistance, exclusive breastfeeding, and drinking-water access had negative but statistically non-significant adjusted coefficients. Huber regression confirmed the sanitation association (b=-0.427; p=0.003). These findings support a multisectoral approach that treats sanitation as a structural social determinant while maintaining nutrition-specific and family-based interventions. Because the unit of analysis is the province, the results indicate ecological association rather than individual-level causation.
