Abstract

Covid 19 pandemic that required students to study online affected university students psychologically. This study aims to determine the relationship between stressful learning and sleep patterns of Bimbingan dan Konseling department students in Covid 19 pandemic era. Correlational design of quantitative approach was used in this research. Sample was chosen by using saturated sampling technique and data were collected by distributing a Likert scale questionnaire to the sample. Data then were analyzed using Product-moment formula. The finding described that there was a significant relationship between stressful learning and sleep patterns. Thus, the higher the studentsÔÇÖ stress level in learning, the worse the studentsÔÇÖ sleep pattern during Covid-19 pandemic.┬á

Abstract

Family has a crucial responsibility to give the basic and foremost educations that determine childrenÔÇÖs moral in the future. This study aims to find out the moral problems of children from single parent families and mother's efforts to educate the children. This was qualitative research using case study design. Data were collected by carrying out in-depth interviews to ten selected informants using purposive sampling technique. Data analysis referred to Miles and HubermanÔÇÖs. Overall, the study found eight childrenÔÇÖs moral problems that were categorized into two aspects, they were obedience (ignoring parents) and personality problems such as gambling, fighting, stealing, being promiscuous, being badly affected by online game, lying, and dating. To overcome the moral problems, single mothers did three ways to educate their children, namely giving advice, exemplary, and punishment.

Abstract

This study aims to find out the strategies of PAI teachers in teaching moral values, growing awareness of moral values, monitoring studentsÔÇÖ behavior, and having preventive and curative efforts against juvenile delinquency in primary schools. Descriptive qualitative method was used in this research. Techniques of data collections were interview, observation, and documentation. The data were analyzed by reducing data, displaying data, and drawing conclusion and verification. The result of this research described that there are two teachersÔÇÖ strategies in teaching moral values to the primary students, namely lecture and discussion. While, in growing studentsÔÇÖ awareness of moral values, teachers gave advices and familiarized the students with school regulations and routine programs. Next, teachers supervised the students directly and provided guidance for deviant behavior. Furthermore, to prevent juvenile delinquency, teachers supervised the students, communicated and collaborated with parents, and made regulations. Last, curative efforts were carried out by giving reward and punishment and facilitating a personal approach to the students.

Abstract

ParentsÔÇÖ low participation in improving the quality of education is an interesting topic of study. This research aims to obtain data on parentsÔÇÖ participation in improving the quality of infrastructure and learning process in elementary schools. This research used a qualitative descriptive approach. Sources of data were the principal, teachers, and parents. Data collection techniques were observation, interviews, and documentation. Based on the research findings, it can be discussed that parents already participated in improving educational infrastructure but not maximized. They donate funds and energy for school construction. While, in learning process, parents contribute to guide, to motivate, to supervise the children, and to facilitate all their needs in learning. Problems faced by parents in improving the quality of learning are lack of time in supervising the children to learn due to busy work and also the low level of parentsÔÇÖ education and income (education and economic factors).

Abstract

This study aims to determine the impact of fiqh ibadah (worship fiqh) material on the amaliyah (worship practice) of the 287 XII grade students at SMKN 1 Kinali, during the Covid 19 pandemic, because globally a third of the earth is experiencing the disaster. This research was conducted using a qualitative method with a case study design. All data were taken using in-depth interviews to fifteen informants who were selected using the purposive sampling technique. The researcher also took data through documentation and observation. All data were then analyzed by thematic and document analysis. Overall the results show that there are five kinds of mahdhah and ghairu mahdhah worship carried out by SMK students as routine activities such as praying, fasting, giving alms, caring for fellow humans, and improving religious understanding.

Abstract

This study aims to identify and explain the management of character education in terms of planning, organizing, implementing, and monitoring in improving the quality of education in State Senior High Schools (SMAN). This research was descriptive qualitative. Sources of data in this study were principals, vice principals, and teachers. Data collection techniques were observation, interviews, and documentation, while data analysis techniques included data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing and verification. Based on data analysis, it was found that character education management is started from planning studentsÔÇÖ character education by determining the goals, constructing programs or school activities, and integrating character values. Furthermore, the organization of character education is carried out by dividing the tasks and the person in charge of the activity or program. Next, the implementation of character education is through the integration of character values in all subjects, in the school daily activities, in school programs, as well as building communication and cooperation between schools and parents of students. Lastly, character education is done through supervision consists of observing studentsÔÇÖ behavior and scoring mentioned in studentsÔÇÖ discipline book.

Abstract

The study aims to describe the strategy and marketing mix of education services in Integrated Islamic Junior High School (SMP-IT). The researcher used qualitative research to describe the data descriptively. Data collection techniques were observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of this study indicated that: 1) the marketing strategy in SMP-IT is to strengthen the IT and Public Relations (Humas) team in the school. 2) The marketing strategy of education services in SMP-IT is by implementing a marketing mix of products, prices, places, promotions, human resources, physical evidence and processes. The superior marketed products are tahfiz programs, language programs, Birrul Walidain and academic extracurriculars, as well as providing scholarship for excellent students. Promotion strategies are carried out through Instagram, YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, websites, and newspapers..

Abstract

This study aims to determine the competence of BK (Guidance and Counseling) students as prospective counselors in implementing group guidance services (BKp). This study used a descriptive quantitative method. The sample was determined by using a purposive sampling technique. Likert scale model was chosen as the instrument of this research. The research subjects were BK students of IAIN Batusangkar in the 2019/2020 academic year. The results revealed that the studentsÔÇÖ competency in implementing group guidance services are divided into four categories, they are the competence at transitional stage which is the lowest (63%), competence at activity stage which is in high category (83%), competence at conclusion is categorized low (73%), and last competence at the final stage which is moderate (77%). The research findings have an impact on producing reliable prospective counselors in the future by having the competence to provide group guidance services.

Abstract

Covid 19 pandemic has changed people's life, including education, in Indonesia. This research aims to describe Islamic education (PAI) teachersÔÇÖ efforts to optimize online learning during pandemics. Descriptive qualitative was chosen as the method of this research. The research subjects were Islamic education teachers at SMPN 7 Sukoharjo, and the informants were teachers, principals, and students at the school. Data were collected by using observation, interview, and documentation techniques. The trustworthiness of data was tested by doing triangulation. Then, the data were analyzed by using an interactive model which consisted of data reduction, display, and verification/concluding. The result of this study indicated that to optimize online learning during the covid 19 pandemics, PAI teachers used various platforms such as Whatsapp, google form, and google meet. The teaching and learning process was done interactively and evaluated by having the mid-term test, final test, and portfolio. Furthermore, the teachers also coordinated with parents about studentsÔÇÖ difficulties in online learning, and whenever necessary, the teachers did home visits.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the role of the madrasah principal in improving teachersÔÇÖ performance. This was a descriptive qualitative study. Observation, interviews, and documentation were used to collect the data. The source of data were the principal and teachers of MTsN 4 Muko-muko. Data were analyzed in two stages: the first stage was preliminary observation and the second stage was the research which included three steps, namely data reduction, data display, and data verification. Trustworthiness data were tested by conducting triangulation. The result indicated that principal leadership in improving the quality of teachersÔÇÖ performance included Discipline Development Supervision Program (PPD), Supervision and Evaluation (SDE) activity, and Learning Program Planning. These findings are the basic of how discipline, supervision, and learning program planning become the indicators of guidance to improve the quality of teachersÔÇÖ performance.┬á ┬á┬á
