Abstract

Digital transformation in education has become essential in the millennial era, including in Qur’an and Hadith learning at the Madrasah Tsanawiyah level. This study analyzes the relevance of digital innovation in Qur’an and Hadith instruction to the characteristics of millennial learners at MTsN Palopo City. A mixed-methods design was employed, combining descriptive qualitative data from interviews and observations with simple quantitative data from questionnaires administered to 60 students. Data were analyzed using qualitative triangulation and percentage-based quantitative analysis. The results indicate that 78% of students feel more motivated to learn Qur’an and Hadith through digital media, and 82% find mobile applications and e-learning platforms easier to use for understanding the material. Qualitative findings reinforce this, showing that students perceive digital-based learning as more engaging, interactive, and aligned with their technology-oriented habits. Teachers also report increased student engagement, despite challenges related to limited facilities and pedagogical readiness. Overall, the study confirms that digital transformation is highly relevant to Qur’an and Hadith learning for millennial students and underscores the need for creative, collaborative, and technology-based instructional strategies at MTsN Palopo City.

Abstract

Classical interpretations of QS. An-Nisa’ 34 often reinforce patriarchal bias and construct gender relations in hierarchical terms. This study re-examines the verse through the reformist perspective of Rasyid Ridha in Tafsir al-Manar to offer a more just and contextual reading. Employing a library-based qualitative design with a descriptive-analytical approach enriched by content analysis and contextual-historical interpretation, the study uses Tafsir al-Manar as the primary source supported by academically relevant secondary literature. The findings reveal that Ridha understands qawwamah not as a justification for male domination, but as a moral mandate of leadership grounded in justice, compassion, and family responsibility. He asserts that role differences between men and women do not indicate superiority but reflect proportional functional division. These findings highlight Ridha’s significant contribution to developing a more humanistic and egalitarian contextual interpretation relevant to contemporary discussions on gender justice in Islam.

Abstract

Bullying in early childhood poses significant long-term risks to children’s social and emotional development. Preventive efforts through early literacy activities have increasingly been recognized as an effective strategy to cultivate empathy, moral understanding, and social skills from an early age. This study aims to systematically review the literature on the effectiveness of early literacy activities in anti-bullying education for young children. The search process was conducted using three major electronic journal databases Google Scholar, JSTOR, and EBSCO employing standardized keywords. Article selection followed the PRISMA stages of identification, screening, eligibility, and inclusion, resulting in 15 studies that met the criteria. Findings indicate that activities such as storytelling, role-playing, and shared reading consistently enhance children’s understanding of empathy, emotional regulation, assertive communication, and prosocial behavior—core competencies essential for bullying prevention. Furthermore, early literacy activities strengthen positive social interactions through structured narratives and interpersonal simulations. Therefore, early literacy can be recommended as an effective pedagogical approach within early childhood curricula to support anti-bullying education through engaging and developmentally appropriate learning experiences.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the differences between grandparents’ and parents’ parenting styles in shaping children’s discipline. The shifting caregiving roles in modern families, particularly due to parents’ work responsibilities, often place grandparents as the primary caregivers, leading to generational differences in values and approaches that may influence children’s discipline. This research employed a comparative quantitative approach involving 66 children in Koto Datuk Village. The sample was selected using purposive sampling, and data were collected through questionnaires based on discipline indicators proposed by Baumrind and Santrock. Data analysis was conducted using an Independent Sample t-Test through SPSS version 30. The findings reveal a significant difference between parents’ and grandparents’ parenting styles, where parents’ democratic parenting is more effective in fostering discipline compared to the more permissive approach typically practiced by grandparents. These results emphasize the importance of active parental involvement in childrearing and the need for educational support for grandparents as alternative caregivers in contemporary family settings.

Abstract

Responsive parenting and balanced nutrition are essential factors supporting the holistic development of early childhood. This study examines the influence of these two factors on children’s independence and stunting prevention using a quantitative correlational approach involving 46 parents at KB RA Mina Jadid, Mojokerto. Data were collected through a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using descriptive statistics and Pearson Product Moment correlation. The results show that responsive parenting (4.46), balanced nutrition (4.33), and children’s independence (4.25) fall into the high category. Strong positive correlations were found between responsive parenting and independence (r = 0.71), balanced nutrition and independence (r = 0.76), as well as between parenting and nutrition (r = 0.77). Anthropometric measurements also indicate that most children fall within the normal growth range. These findings confirm that responsive parenting and balanced nutrition significantly contribute to enhancing children’s independence and reducing the risk of stunting.
