Abstract

The purpose of this community service activity is to improve the ability of students of the Bachelor of Mathematics Study Program FMIPA University of Lampung to use LaTeX for thesis writing. LaTeX was chosen because it is able to produce documents with a professional format, especially in managing mathematical equations and document layout. The training was held on October 24, 2024 at the Computer Laboratory ofthe Mathematics Department with 19 fifth semester students participating. The methods used include providing training modules, using LaTeX-based thesis templates, and hands-on practice using the Overleaf platform. The training results showed that 95% of participants recognized theimportance of using LaTeX, with 93% feeling satisfied with the training implementation. However, time efficiency was evaluated with a score of 80%, indicating the need for further training. Participants showed high enthusiasm and were able to practice LaTeX features, including table creation and writing mathematical equations. Through this training, students are equipped with technical skills to produce a thesis that is not only content-quality but also meets academic standards. Thus, this activity supports the strengthening of student competencies while supporting the University of Lampung as a higher education institution that excels in academics and research.

Abstract

The rapid development of information technology has brought significant changes in various fields, including the business world. This provides students with the opportunity to engage in the digital-based business world. Many students of Madrasah Aliyah (MA) Ma'arif Kotagajah, Lampung Tengah are interested in entrepreneurship. However, it is still hindered by limitations in utilizing technology and creativity to develop businesses and ventures. Therefore, this community service activity is conducted in the form of training aimed at improving students' understanding and skills. This entrepreneurship training emphasizes the use of digital technology and student creativity in entrepreneurship. The methods used include lectures, discussions, and hands-on practice related to digital marketing, digital financial management, and the development of innovative business ideas. This training is expected to equip students with practical and adaptive skills, and be prepared to compete in the modern business world.

Abstract

This service is carried out for the needs and strategies applied, for school-age children in Mulyo Sari Village, Tanjung Sari District in the utilization of IT (Information Technology) so that they can face the increasingly rapid development of technology. Problems that occur due to a lack of understanding of children in the introduction and use of IT at this time, can hurt children such as decreased motivation to learn, and some are less socialized because they are busy playing gadgets. The benefits of developing technology also have a positive impact, such as being a means and infrastructure for learning in the search for knowledge. To avoid negative consequences, assistance in utilizing technology is excellent. For this reason, it is hoped that the service will assist in utilizing technological developments in school-age children. Pengabdi will share by providing understanding material, and knowledge about the use of IT which is growing rapidly today. This service went well and had a good impact, 10% of the number of school-age children who participated in this service knew and could type using a laptop. Now 95% of school-age children already understand the parts and how to operate a laptop, not only that, but also increased knowledge about healthy IT pattern literacy.

Abstract

The need for learning innovation using technology is urgently needed. One of them is in the world of education. This service activity aims to provide training on the use of Maple 18 software as a technology to support learning for Mathematics Education students at the Muhammadiyah University of Pringsewu Lampung with a focus on the use of Maple 18 software in derivative material. The method used in this service is the lecture method followed by the discussion and question and answer method, followed by the simulation method and direct practice and evaluation method. This service activity has work stages, starting with the preparation, implementation and evaluation stages to determine whether the service activity meets the target, namely increasing learning experiences related to the use of Maple 18 software as supporting technology in learning.

Abstract

Entrepreneurial spirit is very important because it can help improve the quality of life of the community by creating high-quality products and services. Entrepreneurial spirit also helps improve community welfare and increase economic welfare. Entrepreneurial spirit is instilled from an early age because it can help someone become a more independent person, think creatively and progressively. This community service activity is carried out to foster an independent entrepreneurial spirit for Students at the Radin Intan Youth Social Service Unit (PSBR), Bandar Lampung. The implementation of this community service activity is through 3 (three) stages, namely the preparation stage, the activity implementation stage, and the evaluation stage. This activity uses a lecture method, including discussions on technopreneurship, Entrepreneurship in the Digital Era, E-Commerce where participants carry out simulations using cellphones. The results of this activity are that students are expected to be able to provide increased abilities and motivation for learning participants to utilize technology in student business activities where students are able to manage e-commerce accounts, manage business WA and manage digital marketing with social media

Abstract

Tujuan pengabdian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi permasalahan dalam pengelolaan stok dan pemasaran pada Toko Pangan, sebuah usaha kecil yang sudah beroperasi lebih dari 40 tahun. Berdasarkan hasil survei, wawancara, dan observasi, toko ini menghadapi masalah dalam hal pemasaran yang terbatas dan pengelolaan stok yang masih dilakukan secara manual. Program pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan sistem pengelolaan stok menggunakan teknologi serta menerapkan pemasaran digital untuk meningkatkan daya saing usaha. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan peningkatan penjualan dan efisiensi pengelolaan stok setelah penerapan teknologi baru. Kesimpulannya, penerapan pemasaran digital dan sistem pengelolaan stok berbasis teknologi sangat penting untuk mendukung keberlangsungan usaha kecil dalam menghadapi tantangan pasar modern.

Abstract

The issue of low reading interest in Indonesia remains a complex challenge, not only related to illiteracy rates but also involving broader cultural and structural aspects. In the context of legal education, weak literacy culture can hinder the development of critical thinking and legal imagination, both essential for addressing contemporary legal challenges. This community engagement activity aims to foster reading interest among law students through a literacy approach that goes beyond legal documents, incorporating fiction and other multidisciplinary readings. Through training and discussion sessions involving law students in Bandar Lampung, this activity identifies factors influencing reading habits and encourages participants to be more critical in selecting credible reading sources. The results indicate a gap between academic reading obligations and personal reading motivation. Therefore, a contextual and creative literacy approach is needed to shape law students who are not only capable of reading legal documents but also possess interdisciplinary insight, empathy, and strong legal imagination. Abstract

Salah satu tujuan utama mempelajari bahasa Inggris di era globalisasi saat ini adalah kemampuan dalam percakapan bahasa Inggris. Namun, kemampuan percakapan bahasa Inggris masih dianggap sebagai salah satu keterampilan yang sulit dilakukan bagi siswa. Banyak siswa menghadapi beberapa kesulitan ketika mereka hendak berkomunikasi dengan bahasa Inggris, walaupun mereka sudah belajar bahasa Inggris selama bertahun-tahun. Beberapa kesulitan yang sering dihadapi dan dikeluhkan siswa diantaranya adalah pertama, mereka tidak mampu berkomunikasi dengan bahasa Inggris, karena mereka tidak menguasai kosa-kata bahasa Inggris. Sebagai solusi untuk memotivasi siswa belajar dan berkomunikasi dengan bahasa Inggris adalah dengan menyediakan media pengajaran yang menarik dan metode (cara) pembelajaran yang efektif. Salah satu media pengajaran yang menarik adalah dengan penggunaan media film. Dalam film disajikan cerita menarik dengan bentuk animasi bergambar dan dilengkapi dengan suara audio sehingga dapat melibatkan siswa untuk tertarik mempelajari bahasa Inggris. Selain itu, metode pembelajaran yang efektif juga dapat membantu siswa memahami informasi yang diajarkan. Salah satu metode pembelajaran yang dapat diterapkan untuk memotivasi siswa berkomunikasi bahasa Inggris adalah dengan menggunakan metode dubbing dan subtitling. Abstract

Salah satu hama padi adalah burung pipit, karena biasanya burung pipit ini akan mulai makan padi ketika padi berbuah sampai panen. Burung pipit selalu berkelompok ketika terbang dan makan padi, sehingga jika jumlahnya banyak tentu bulir padi yang di makan akan semakin banyak dan tidak hanya satu hari saja, melainkan setiap hari. Untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut maka tim PKM Fakultas Komputer Universitas Mitra Indonesia dengan memanfaatkan teknologi melakukan demonstrasi penggunaan teknologi Hasil Inovasi Pertanian berbasis IoT untuk Pengusiran Hama Burung Sawah. Selain itu kegiatan sosialisasi dan demontrasi dilakukan melalui beberapa sesi, sehingga peserta memiliki waktu yang cukup untuk memahami teknologi tersebut dan mengembangkan keterampilan dalam menggunakan produk hasil teknologi inovasi. Penerapan hasil Inovasi Pertanian berbasis IoT untuk Pengusiran Hama Burung Sawah dapat berjalan dengan baik. Kegiatan penerapan teknologi IOT melalui demontrasi alih teknologi secara langsung pendampingan (transfer ilmu) melalui kegiatan sosialisasi dan demontrasi alih teknologi IoT. Hasil pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian ini diharapkan dapat mengoptimalisasi produktivitas dan kapasitas sekaligus menjawab upaya-upaya yang telah dilakukan sebelumnya dan dapat meningkatkan hasil panen sekaligus akan berdampak positif bagi perekonomian mitra desa Tanjung Harapan Kecamatan Seputih Banyak Lampung Tengah.

Abstract

Pengabdian kepada masyarakat bertujuan untuk memberikan pendampingan guru SD dalam mendesain media interaktif.  Guru SD seringkali menghadapi kesulitan dalam mendesain media interaktif yang efektif untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran. Oleh karena itu, perlu dilakukan pendampingan bagi guru SD untuk membantu mereka mendesain media interaktif yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan siswa. Tujuan dari pengabdian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kemampuan guru SD dalam mendesain media interaktif yang efektif untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran. Metode pengabdian ini adalah pendampingan guru SDN 2 Waluyojati melalui pelatihan dan workshop yang meliputi teori dan praktik mendesain media interaktif. Pendampingan dilakukan oleh tim ahli yang memiliki pengalaman dalam mendesain media interaktif. Hasil pengabdian ini menunjukkan bahwa guru SD yang mengikuti pendampingan memiliki kemampuan yang lebih baik dalam mendesain media interaktif yang efektif. Media interaktif yang dihasilkan oleh guru SD juga lebih sesuai dengan kebutuhan siswa dan dapat meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran.
