<![CDATA[This study aims to determine the improvement of biology learning outcomes through the application of the Student Teams Achievement Divisions (STAD) type cooperative learning model to grade VIII students of SMP Negeri 4 Salahutu. The type of research used is Classroom Action Research which consists of four stages, namely planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects of this study numbered 34. The instruments used are observation sheets, learning outcome tests, and documentation. Based on the results of data analysis, it was found that the application of the STAD type cooperative learning model can improve student learning outcomes in grade VIII SMP Negeri 4 Salahutu. These results are intended by increasing the results of the initial test, cycle I, and cycle II tests. This is shown from the results obtained by students who have achieved the Minimum Completeness Criteria individually, namely 67 and classically the completeness of student learning reaches 75% of students who are complete. In the initial test, the percentage of student learning completeness only reached 26.47% and increased in the first cycle test to 64.71%, and again increased in the end of the second cycle test to 94.12%. While the average score obtained classically also increased, namely in the initial test the average value obtained was 52.65, there was an increase in cycle I to 69.12 and increased significantly in cycle II to 83.24.]]>

<![CDATA[This research was motivated by the lack of Physics teachers in applying learning methods that are in accordance with the characteristics of students and the material to be taught so that it affects the quality of learning and learning outcomes in the classroom. The purpose of this study is to apply the active method of debate in improving student learning outcomes on the concept material of class VII substances of Wailua State Junior High School. The type of research used is Classroom Action Research which consists of four stages, namely action planning, action implementation, observation, and reflection with 28 subjects. Data collection techniques are by making observations and tests. Observation is carried out by an observer to observe teacher and student learning activities and tests are used to determine student learning outcomes after participating in learning activities with the application of active debate methods. The results of data analysis found that the average score of students increased, namely in the initial test obtained an average score of 47.14 with a completion percentage of 35.71%, increased in cycle I to 67.14 with a completion percentage of 67.85% and increased significantly in cycle II to 86.07 with a completeness percentage of 96.42%.]]>

<![CDATA[This article aims to explore the different types of research that can be used based on the research objectives to be achieved. This research is carried out through a literature study method which is part of a qualitative approach. The main sources of research data are books and scientific articles published in scientific journals and indexed by google scholar. The keywords used in the article data generation are "research methodology", "research essence", "research procedure", and "research classification". Data analysis is carried out qualitatively consisting of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of the analysis show that there are four characteristics of scientific research, namely systematic (a research must be compiled and carried out sequentially according to the correct pattern and rules, from easy and simple to complex), logical (the search for truth must take place according to the procedure or rules of the working of reason, namely logic), empirical (a research based on daily experience, which is found or through trial and error results that are then raised as a result of research), and replicable (a study that has been conducted must be retested by other researchers and must give the same results when carried out with the same methods, criteria, and conditions)]]>

<![CDATA[This article aims to find out the role of the religious organization Nahdlatul Ulama and its figures in the field of Islamic education. This research is carried out through a qualitative approach with a literature study approach. The preparation of the article is carried out by examining various sources that are directly related to the focus of this research. The main sources of research data are reference books and research articles published in various scientific journals and indexed by google scholar. Data analysis is carried out qualitatively consisting of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings of the analysis are that Islamic education has an influence on socio-culture, in the sense of providing philosophical insights, direction of views, behavioral motivations, and guidelines for change until the formation of a new social reality. The renewal of NU education is a mirror of the modernity of Islamic boarding school educators who are trying to bring their citizens to a new perspective in the field of education, as a means of maximizing Islamic teaching educational activities in the modern period. Reform in learning among the community, both formal schools and Islamic boarding schools, has progressed in learning methods not only using the memorization method in learning but also including lecture methods, discussion methods, Tahzib wa Targib methods (advising and reprimanding), question-answer methods, so that learning methods for students or students no longer use the memorization method alone, but combine the methods according to what is learned]]>

<![CDATA[Language is an important component in learning activities since it plays crucial role to build the communication between teacher and students. One language that is frequently used was mother tongue, especially in English classrooms. Due to this phenomenon, several studies about the use of mother tongue in English classroom and students’ perception about it have been done, however studies that focus on perception by the junior high school students’ especially class VII have not been conducted yet. Therefore, the researcher conducted a study to describe the use of mother tongue by the English teacher in the classroom and to investigate students’ perceptions towards it. The research was conducted at SMPN 189 Jakarta, with 36 students of grade VII D and their English teachers as participants in the study. Observation and Questionnaire are used as qualitative methods to collect data. The results of the study show that English teachers use the mother tongue quite often during learning activities. The use of Mother Language is carried out on every interaction between teachers and students, including questions and answers, commands, and feedback. In addition, the results of the study also show that students prefer to use their mother tongue during English language class.]]>

<![CDATA[Textbooks are an indispensable tool within the educational process, serving as a vital resource for providing students with organized and thorough material. They ensure that students gain the fundamentals of language by providing a well-organized curriculum that aligns with learning objectives and standards. Selecting a textbook is essential as it determines the quality of instructional materials and significantly impacts students’ learning outcomes. This present study intends to determine the appropriateness as well as the strengths, weaknesses, and drawbacks of an English textbook entitled “Pathway to English” by Erlangga for tenth-grade students. This study is categorized as content analysis. All units in the textbook are the subject of the study which will be collected using the documentation technique which will be done by reading and classifying them into the categories provided. After that, the data will be analyzed by using a rubric assessment checklist proposed by Badan Standar, Kurikulum, dan Asesmen Pendidikan (BSKAP). The findings indicated that not all the units in the textbook are appropriate and fulfill the criteria proposed by BSKAP. It fulfilled an average of 80% in total which means it belongs to the ‘good’ category. The finding implies that the textbook needs to be improved to encourage students’ academic success and lifelong love of learning]]>

<![CDATA[The implementation of Project Based Learning (PBL) in English subjects is in line with Merdeka Curriculum because students can learn by actively engaging in real-world and personally meaningful projects. This study aims to find out the student challenges that hinder their engagement in English Project Based Learning and find out the roles of teacher that faced by students in overcoming barriers in English Project Based Learning on Merdeka Curriculum. This research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive approach. The research was conducted at SMPN 189 Jakarta. Data was collected through questionnaires and interviews to identify barriers to student engagement and the role of teachers in overcoming those barriers. A total of 59 students participated as respondents for the questionnaire method and 2 teachers of United Kingdom subjects were interviewed. This study used the Likert scale to calculate the results of the questionnaire and to analyze the data from the interviews used transcription and highlighting of the results points. Data analysis involves transcription and analysis of interview responses to draw overall conclusions. The findings of this study highlight the difficulties in collaboration, project planning and execution, time, and motivation with engagement. Teachers act as facilitators, creating a supportive environment, emphasizing personal connections, and using a variety of feedback strategies to ensure inclusive participation and improve the quality of learning]]>

<![CDATA[This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the features of ChatGPT, Gemini AI, and Claude AI in helping teachers create teaching materials at SMA Negeri 1 Tambangan. This study uses an experimental design of participants who are divided into four groups (three AI groups and one control group), this study compares the quality of the teaching materials produced with the help of the three AI platforms. Data collection methods include pre-test, post-test, questionnaire, and analysis of AI usage activity logs. The results of the analysis show that Gemini AI has better results in improving the quality of teaching materials, with an average score increase of 20.5 points, compared to ChatGPT (13.4 points) and Claude AI (14.6 points). Gemini AI's advantages are mainly seen in the aspects of contextualization and personalization of learning materials. The results of the technology acceptance analysis show that the adoption rate is high for Gemini AI, with the highest scores in perceived usefulness (6.4/7) and behavioral intention (6.6/7). Implementation challenges include the need for teacher training and limited infrastructure in several regions. This research provides important implications for the development of policies and practices for the use of AI in education in Indonesia, emphasizing the importance of integrating AI technology that takes into account the local context and specific needs of students.]]>

<![CDATA[This research discusses Abdurrahman Wahid's Islamic legal thinking, which is known for its harmonization approach between Islamic values and local culture. The background of this research is rooted in the challenges of implementing Islamic law in Indonesia, where cultural plurality is an important factor in building justice and social harmony. Abdurrahman Wahid, or Gus Dur, offers a progressive view that prioritizes openness to local traditions as an integral part of the interpretation of Islamic law. This research uses library research methods by examining the works of Abdurrahman Wahid, academic literature and other relevant documents. A descriptive-analytical approach is applied to understand Gus Dur's ideas about the relationship between Islamic law and culture, as well as its significance in the Indonesian socio-political context. The research results show that the harmonization of Islam and culture according to Abdurrahman Wahid is an effort to bridge the universality of Islamic teachings with local diversity. <![CDATA[This research explores students’ perspectives on their lecturers’ teaching styles in the Academic Reading Course. Utilizing a descriptive qualitative approach through questionnaires and interviews, this research identifies Formal Authority, Personal Model, Facilitator, and Delegator teaching styles employed by the lecturer. Notably, 27 second-year EFL students at Universitas Qomaruddin participated in this research. Through Miles and Huberman model which comprises data reduction, data display, and conclusion, the results showed that most students strongly preferred the Personal Model type, which focuses on examples and guidance in teaching methods that significantly enhance their engagement and learning effectiveness.
