Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of quiz media-based physics learning in improving concept understanding, student engagement, and the ability to reflect on the material taught. Through a survey of 41 students at Mataram University, it was found that the majority of students responded positively to the use of quizzes. A total of 65.59% of students agreed that quizzes helped them understand basic physics concepts, while 63.24% felt more involved in learning. However, although most students showed positive perceptions, around 13.24% to 19.12% of students felt that quizzes did not provide significant benefits. This study suggests the use of more adaptive and varied quizzes, as well as continuous evaluation to improve learning effectiveness.

Abstract

Physics is one of the basic courses taught in the Biology study programme at Mataram University. Despite its important relevance in understanding biological phenomena, physics learning is often considered less interesting and relevant by biology students. This study aims to identify criticisms of physics education faced by biology students and propose solutions to improve the effectiveness of physics learning in the context of biology. This research uses descriptive quantitative method with data collection technique through questionnaires distributed to 70 first semester students from Biology study programme. Measurement indicators include learning effectiveness and level of satisfaction with physics courses. The results showed that the majority of respondents (76%) considered understanding physics as important or very important in the study of biology, especially because many biological phenomena are explained using physical principles. However, 42% of respondents stated that the physics material taught was only moderately relevant, with the main challenges being teaching methods that were not integrated with biological applications and limited mastery of basic mathematics by students. Based on these findings, the use of cooperative learning approaches and the integration of physics material with real examples of applications in biology are suggested to improve students' learning motivation and understanding. Abstract

To develop the curriculum, a curriculum that can be combined with the religious and general curriculum is needed, namely the integrated curriculum. The purpose of this study was to determine how to implement an integrated curriculum in Kindergarten Aisyah Bustanul Athfal (ABA) 33 in the city of Malang. The research method used is a qualitative methodology, with a qualitative descriptive type. Through observation, interviews, and documentation, data were collected. Data was triangulated after being collected. These results indicate that the development of a curriculum that is by the vision, mission, and goals of the school, as well as outstanding teachers and all staff of TK ABA 33 Malang, reflects piety and instills moral and religious values during the learning process, is the basis for implementing the curriculum. integrated. Then the results of student activities such as prayer, Tahsin, and this are reported as student activity reports. In research at TK ABA 33 Malang, the integral learning strategies used include planning, programming daily, yearly, and semester. A solid dedication is a supporting factor for teachers in carrying out their duties and obligations. The obstacle is that some parents do not understand their children's vision, mission, and goals of the school.

Abstract

Character education learning for children is more often done in schools through habits that are also continued at home, but different from 2020, precisely in mid-March, the Covid-19 pandemic occurred which required learning to be done entirely at home. This study focuses on producing soft book media that can stimulate Early Childhood Character Education that is appropriate (valid, practical and interesting) for individual learning at home. The study was conducted using the ADDIE model with qualitative methods in the form of observation and interview results. Interviews were conducted with students, accompanying teachers and the principal of TA Al Jabbar Malang. Data analysis used in this study used descriptive analysis, namely qualitative descriptive and quantitative descriptive in the form of: (a) Validity Level Data Analysis, (b) User Trial Data Analysis, (c) Media Effectiveness Level Data Analysis. The results of this study in the form of validation results obtained an overall average of 4.00. The final validation results are included in the valid criteria (satisfactory). This development has gone through a limited trial to determine the level of practicality of the textbook. The results of the limited trial obtained an overall average of 91.01%. The final result of the practicality level is included in the practical criteria. Thus, this softbook teaching media is worthy to be used for large-scale trials as a teaching media for learning the value of AUD independence. Suggestions submitted for further research are in the form of content.

Abstract

The application of conventional methods such as lectures without using teaching aids can have a negative effect on students such as low student learning achievement. In the pre-cycle action, the average value of student learning achievement only reached 46.6%. Only 17 students out of 36 were declared to have achieved learning completeness. The application of the inquiry method can be a solution for teachers to improve student learning achievement. The purpose of this learning improvement is to improve the learning achievement of Class XI Matematika dan Ilmu Alam (MIA) 1 students of Sekolah Menengah Atas Negeri (SMAN) 9 Mataram. The subjects of this study were 21 students of Class XI MIA 1 SMAN 9 Mataram. Learning improvement actions were carried out in 3 cycles. The expected benefits of this study are: For teachers, it is expected to broaden their horizons and improve teacher professionalism, for students of course to improve their learning achievement, and for institutions or schools it is expected to be useful as an innovation in teaching and learning. The application of the inquiry method in learning shows that student learning achievement has increased significantly. In Cycle 1, the average value reached 56.6%, increasing to 63.6% in Cycle 2 and increasing again to 75.42% in Cycle 3. The results obtained from this learning improvement action are that inquiry learning can improve the learning achievement of Class XI MIA 1 SMAN 9 Mataram students in biology subjects in the 2023/2024 academic year.

Abstract

The cause of poor student learning outcomes is known through the teacher's inaccuracy in choosing learning methods and media. This media is what determines student activities in learning to achieve the expected goals. This study aims to improve student learning outcomes in addictive substance material for second class at Algemene Middelbare School (AMS) using power point media. The subjects of this study were 33 students of Second Class AMS. Learning improvement actions were carried out in 2 cycles. The expected benefits of this study are: For teachers, it is expected to broaden their horizons and improve teacher professionalism, for students of course to improve their learning achievements, and for institutions or schools it is expected to be useful as an innovation in teaching and learning. The results of this study are that the use of power point media for addictive substance material in second class at AMS has proven to be very influential on learning outcomes. This can be seen from the percentage of learning outcomes in cycle 1 to cycle 2 increasing. From the results of the evaluation, students who obtained scores above the minimum completion criteria in cycle 1 were 8 students with a percentage of 24.2% and in cycle 2 there were 28 students with a percentage of 84.8%.

Abstract

Learning is a process of interaction between learning resources between students and teachers in a learning environment. The application of the Problem Based Learning method can be a solution for teachers to improve student learning outcomes. This study focuses on the impact of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model on student learning outcomes in the topic of the digestive system in Class Mathematics and Natural Sciences (MIA) 2 at State High School (SMAN) 9 Mataram. The research involved 33 students from Class XI MIA 2 at SMAN 9 Mataram, and the learning improvement actions were implemented over three cycles. The study aimed to explore the effectiveness of the PBL method in enhancing student learning achievements, expanding teachers' professional perspectives, and contributing to innovative teaching strategies within the institution. The findings indicate a significant improvement in student learning outcomes, as reflected in the evaluation scores: 35% of students (7 students) achieved scores above the minimum completion criteria in the pre-cycle, 50% (10 students) in Cycle 1, and 85% (17 students) in Cycle 2. This study demonstrates that the application of the PBL model has a positive impact on student learning achievements in Biology, specifically in the digestive system topic.
