Abstract

This study aims to examine the impact of government expenditure (APBD and APBN) on food availability in Southeast Sulawesi Province. Utilizing secondary data and elasticity analysis, the research assesses the responsiveness of food production to budgetary changes. The findings reveal that increased government spending through APBD and APBN does not significantly enhance food production. Instead, fluctuations in food output are primarily driven by non-fiscal factors, including agricultural land conversion for non-agricultural uses, declining soil productivity, climate change-induced disruptions to planting and harvesting cycles, and other external variables. Consequently, Southeast Sulawesi's food security faces long-term vulnerabilities without proactive interventions. Sustainable measures such as safeguarding and expanding agricultural land, improving farming efficiency, and adopting climate-resilient agricultural technologies are critical to mitigating these risks. Policymakers must prioritize these strategies to ensure stable and sustainable food security in the region.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of work discipline and work ability on employee performance at the Bitung City Fisheries Service. The urgency of this research lies in the urgent need to scientifically understand how two important variables of work discipline and work ability affect the performance of local government apparatus. In the era of bureaucratic reform, improving the quality of public services is a national agenda supported by the policy of evaluating the performance of the state civil apparatus (ASN) based on the merit system. The phenomenon of decreased productivity, delayed completion of tasks, and declining quality of public services are the background of the importance of this study. With a quantitative approach and survey method of 40 respondents, the data were analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results show that both work discipline and work ability have a positive and significant effect on employee performance. This study contributes to strengthening human resource governance in the public sector, especially in designing policies to improve the competence and discipline of regional apparatus.

This research employs quantitative methods, and it explains the effect of independent variables such as leverage, asset growth, and company size on the dependent variable which is stock price volatility. The population and sample for this study comprise 18 companies. The data used in this research are secondary data, and the data analysis technique employs a panel data regression model with the help of Eviews 11 software. The research results show that, partially, the asset growth variable has a significant effect on stock price volatility, while the leverage and company size variables have no significant effect on stock price volatility. Simultaneously, the independent variables, namely leverage, asset growth, and company size, collectively have a significant effect on the dependent variable of stock price volatility.

Abstract

The issue of Corporate Social Responsibility Disclosure (CSRD) remains a concern in Indonesia, particularly in response to various environmental pollution incidents involving companies. This study aims to examine the influence of profitability, standalone report, firm size, the tenure of the board of directors, the size of the board of commissioners, the proportion of independent commissioners, and managerial ownership on CSRD in energy sector companies. The data were collected using a purposive sampling method, sourced from financial reports and/or sustainability reports published by the companies. The results of the panel data regression analysis indicate that the standalone reports and firm size have a positive effect on CSRD. The variables of profitability, tenure of the board of directors, size of the board of commissioners, independent commissioners, and managerial ownership do not have a significant effect on CSRD. Firm size and standalone report influence CSRD, in line with stakeholder and agency theoretical frameworks.

Abstract

This article discusses the calculation method for Income Tax Article 21 (PPh 21) using the Average Effective Rate (TER) approach, which has been established by the Directorate General of Taxes as part of efforts to simplify tax administration in Indonesia. The TER method is designed to facilitate tax deductions for permanent employees by calculating income tax based on a more efficient and standardized rate. The article explains the legal basis underlying the implementation of TER, its objectives in improving the tax deduction system, and the benefits for both employees and companies in terms of compliance and tax management. The technical process of calculating PPh 21 using the TER method is outlined in detail, covering steps from determining gross income to the correct deduction and reporting of taxes. The article also includes a practical case example that illustrates the application of TER in real-life situations, demonstrating how this method can enhance efficiency and reduce errors in tax calculations. While TER can improve tax administration efficiency, the article emphasizes the importance of a deep understanding of the applicable regulations and the need for caution in its application.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of Work Environment (X1) and Work Discipline (X2) on Employee Performance, both partially and simultaneously, at the Archive Depot of the Library and Archives Office of South Tangerang City. The method used is a quantitative approach with multiple linear regression analysis. The results show that partially, the Work Environment has a positive and significant effect on Employee Performance, with a t-value of 5.294 > t-table 2.021 and a p-value of 0.001 < 0.05. Work Discipline also has a significant effect, with a t-value of 5.339 > t-table 2.021 and a p-value of 0.001 < 0.05. Simultaneously, both variables significantly affect performance, with an F-value of 27.081 > F-table 3,195 and a p-value of 0.001 < 0.05. The resulting regression equation is Y = 1.105 + 0.393X1 + 0.335X2. The limitations of this study include difficulties in obtaining supporting data, obstacles in distributing questionnaires during working hours, and potential bias in respondents' survey answers.
