Jurnal PEBSAS (Jurnal Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra) is a language and literature education journal that will be managed properly by the Medan Cipta Foundation. Jurnal PEBSAS (Jurnal Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra) can be an alternative choice for researchers and other academics to publish their best writings. In general, Jurnal PEBSAS (Jurnal Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra) will only publish articles that examine language education (Indonesian and all languages in the world and language literature). Writing to be published must go through procedures determined by the Medan Cipta Insan Foundation. Abstract

The use of technology in learning Arabic has become the main focus in efforts to increase the effectiveness and attractiveness of learning. This research discusses various approaches and technological applications that can be used to enrich the Arabic language learning experience. Online-based learning methods, use of mobile applications and interactive multimedia platforms are the main aspects explored. Evaluation of learning outcomes shows that technology integration can improve students' understanding of grammar, vocabulary and speaking competence in Arabic. The application of technology in Arabic language learning is expected to make a significant contribution to the progress of language education by utilizing the potential of modern technology. This research aims to determine the use of digital technology in Arabic language learning in class V of MIS Ikhlasiyah Tuamang. The method used is descriptive qualitative. The sample in this study was all class V students of MIS Ikhlasiyah Tuamang. Data collection techniques use observation, interviews and documentation. The data analysis technique uses theories from Milex and Huberman, namely reducing data, presenting data, and concluding data. The results of this research show that there is minimal use of digital technology in Arabic language learning in class V of MIS Ikhlasiyah Tuamang. This is shown from the results of interviews and observations that have been carried out, that in class V MIS Ikhlasiyah Tuamang, Arabic language learning very rarely uses digital technology, teachers more often use Arabic textbooks as a learning medium.

Abstract

Islamic boarding schools are known to the public because many of the students' works are introduced through culture and religion so that these works are known to the outside community. In Islamic boarding schools, students are also taught to study religious knowledge and deepen it in an effort to create a generation whose character is formed in accordance with Islamic law. So it is no longer surprising to find Islamic boarding school alumni who have good scientific character. If you find a work of calligraphy art in a shop, what comes to mind is that this work is one of the works of Islamic boarding school children. So that it attracts the attention of parents to enroll their children in Islamic boarding schools because of the works created by these students. The developments that can be seen at this time are the many impacts of the influence of calligraphy in Islamic boarding schools and outside Islamic boarding schools. The impact of the art of calligraphy has had an influence on the development of Islam. The purpose of writing this article is to find out about the art of calligraphy in Islamic boarding schools. In this research, the author used a descriptive qualitative method through a literature study approach, taking reference material from journals, books, articles, and others, as mandatory material for this research.

Abstract

Education plays a crucial role in the development of a nation, with teachers as agents of change. Mastery of teacher pedagogical competence is the key to designing effective learning. However, the low achievement of student learning outcomes and teacher competence in Indonesia is still a problem. This research uses the literature study method to explore the importance of mastering teachers' pedagogical competencies in improving the quality of education. The results show that teachers' mastery of pedagogical competence plays a significant role in successful learning. Factors such as lack of education and training, as well as limited teaching experience, affect teachers' abilities. Specific strategies need to be implemented in accordance with the Teacher Pedagogical Competency Standards to improve the quality of education. Ten pedagogical competencies, including mastery of student characters and the use of technology as a learning medium, guide the improvement of education quality. Through the literature study method, this research concludes that teachers' mastery of pedagogical competencies plays a central role in improving the quality of education in Indonesia. Special attention to teacher training and development is needed to ensure they can meet professional standards and bring about positive changes in education.

Abstract

The management of teachers and educational staff plays a crucial role in enhancing the quality of learning. Effective management of teachers and educational staff is essential for reinforcing the foundation of quality education by providing the necessary resources and support for educators to excel in their teaching. This research aims to explore the roles of teacher and educational staff management in delivering quality education, assess the competencies of teachers and educational staff in improving the quality of learning, and enhance learning quality through effective management. The study utilizes advanced research methods, employing a qualitative approach through a literature review from various relevant sources to examine the roles of teacher and educational staff management in improving the quality of education. Therefore, this research is expected to provide a deeper understanding of the roles and importance of teacher and educational staff management in enhancing the quality of learning.

Abstract

Teacher professionalism has a central role in improving the quality of learning in the classroom. This article explores key aspects of teacher professionalism, including academic competence, pedagogical skills, ethical attitudes, and adaptability to current developments. The discussion regarding the positive impact on student development becomes the focus, providing an in-depth understanding of the importance of the role of teachers as the main pillar in producing a quality generation. In conclusion, increasing teacher professionalism is a strategic key in improving the quality of education. The professionalism of a teacher is the answer to all the challenges that exist in the world of education, especially in the classroom. The urgency in increasing professionalism is one of the efforts to face future challenges, therefore a teacher will continue to be required to be professional to meet existing challenges.

Abstract

This research explores the role and implementation of the Teacher Code of Ethics in increasing the professionalism of educators in Indonesia, exploring aspects of the attachment of religious values and norms in the context of Eastern culture. The main focus of this research is on the role of Islamic religious teachers, who are inherently expected to comply with the Code of Ethics as ethical foundation in the profession. Using a qualitative approach with literature analysis, this research explores theories that support the role of codes of ethics in the educational context in Indonesia. The National Education System Law and the definition of teachers as professional education personnel are the main basis. The results of this research are the need to instill awareness about the teacher code of ethics, continuous evaluation of its implementation, and efforts to increase professionalism through self-reflection on learning practices. Research also shows that implementing a code of ethics is the main key in realizing the common goal of improving the quality of education in Indonesia. By understanding and implementing a code of ethics, it is hoped that teachers can make a positive contribution to building a reputation and appreciation for their role in the world of education.

By having good English skills, Indonesian people can access wider opportunities in the global world, communicate with people from different countries, and broaden their knowledge and insight. Learning English is also crucial in today's world of work, as many companies seek employees with good English communication skills to face global competition. However, some people in Indonesia may need help understanding the importance of learning English. They may perceive English as a foreign language only needed in specific situations or focus solely on grammar and vocabulary. To address this, it is essential to emphasize the actual purpose of learning English in Indonesia. The Ministry of Education and Culture is vital in regulating the curriculum and standards for learning English in Indonesia. The objectives of learning English include developing knowledge and language skills, such as listening, speaking, reading, and writing, as well as grammar and vocabulary. Language skills should be actively applied in everyday life, enabling individuals to communicate effectively, understand written text, and express thoughts and ideas. Additionally, learning English aims to foster attitudes appropriate to the language's context and variety. To achieve these objectives, improving the quality of English language teaching in Indonesia, incorporating innovative methods and technology, and developing a relevant curriculum are necessary. By doing so, individuals in Indonesia can enhance their communication skills, overcome barriers, build intercultural relationships, and actively contribute to the international community.

Abstract

This article discusses the key role of professionalism in shaping student character in elementary schools. The focus is on the aspect of teacher personality and its impact in shaping students' character. Teachers not only deliver subject matter, but also play a role as role models in children's character development. The requirements of professionalism, especially regarding teacher personality, affect teacher-student interactions and the learning context in the classroom. In the face of these challenges, this article explores the role of teachers as role models, the impact of teacher behavior on students' mindsets, and professional strategies to build positive character. The linkages between the requirements of professionalism, teacher personality and student character building are investigated to formulate concrete steps to improve the quality of education at the elementary level. Through a literature study, this research found that teacher professionalism significantly influences the quality of education, including students' character building and cognitive abilities. Continuous professional development for teachers is needed to improve students' overall educational experience. The research also highlights the level of student heterogeneity and the need for teachers to understand and identify students' individual characteristics to design effective learning programs.
