Abstract

Investment is a strategic activity for managing and growing wealth, whether for short-term or long-term purposes. However, selecting the appropriate investment instrument is not straightforward, as each asset has unique characteristics, including risk level, liquidity, and maintenance costs. This study aims to develop an investment recommendation system using a Multi-Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) approach, specifically by combining the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method and the Rank Order Centroid (ROC) technique. The five investment alternatives evaluated in this research are gold bullion, property, luxury jewelry, artwork, and classic cars, assessed against six main criteria: return on investment (ROI), liquidity, risk, maintenance cost, popularity & demand, and availability (scarcity). The ROC method is applied to determine objective weights based on expert-ranked preferences, followed by normalization and scoring of each alternative using the SAW method. The results indicate that gold bullion achieves the highest score (0.882) and is the most recommended investment. This model successfully provides transparent and systematic recommendations and can be further enhanced with dynamic market data and a broader range of investment alternatives.

Abstract

Muslims have several religious rituals that are being done on certain dates such as the fasting of Ramadan, Eid al-Fitr and the Hajj pilgrimage. These religious rituals are closely related to the Hijri calendar system. The Hijri calendar system is based on the period of Moon's revolution around the Earth. Meanwhile, there are two methods for determining the beginning of the Hijri month, they are Imkanu Rukyat and Wujudul Hilal. Unlike Imkanu Rukyat which requires observation of the Hilal, Wujudul Hilal determines the beginning of the Hijri month entirely based on mathematical calculations. One of important variable in determining the beginning of the Hijri month is the Ijtimak time, which is the time when the Sun overtake the Moon from behind. One of calculation method that can be used to calculate the Ijtimak time is Jean Meeus Algorithm. The Jean Meeus Algorithm has many calculation steps and several complex formulas. To help us doing this calculation, we can use Microsoft Excel application. To find out the accuracy level of the Ijtimak time that has been calculated, it is then compared with the data from NASA's SKYCAL site.

Abstract

Learning modern interior design, as an effort to develop students' creativity, requires innovation in the interaction media between students and learning materials. Currently, the use of Augmented Reality (AR) in design education is becoming increasingly relevant and gaining attention as an interactive learning medium. However, several challenges remain, including hardware limitations, a lack of realistic visualization, and the need for a more immersive learning experience. The proposed solution is the utilization of Google Lens as an AR-based platform to access 3D interior design models directly via mobile devices. This approach employs a simple marker-based tracking method, where visual markers or specific objects trigger the visualization of 3D in the real environment. Students can point their smartphone cameras at the marker to access the designs, interact with spatial elements, and better understand the structural and aesthetic concepts of interior spaces. This creates a more immersive, creative, and dynamic learning experience. The results of this study show that the implementation of Google Lens-based AR enhances students' spatial understanding, learning motivation, and engagement in the interior design process. Moreover, it provides an accessible and effective learning tool, opening new opportunities for the development of immersive technology-based learning methods.

Abstract

The alignment between study programs and students' interests and abilities is a crucial factor in academic success at the university level. Unfortunately, many prospective students face confusion when choosing majors due to limited knowledge about the characteristics of each program and its relationship with career prospects, potentially affecting their academic performance and career paths. To address this challenge, our research presents a solution in the form of a rule-based expert system developed using Prolog language. This system is designed to provide study program recommendations through analysis of user responses to various structured questions. Using score calculation methods and matching against established value parameters, the system can propose the most relevant majors among four options: Computer Engineering (CE), Information Management (MI), Multimedia Graphics Engineering Technology (TRMG), and Software Engineering Technology (TRPL). Through this implementation, prospective students receive recommendations aligned with their potential and interests, facilitating more accurate decision-making. In addition to functioning as an assistive instrument in career and academic counseling for high school students, this research also lays the foundation for the development of more sophisticated expert systems with enhanced assessment weights and precision levels in the future.

Abstract

Perkembangan konten digital telah membawa peluang baru bagi kejahatan klasik di bidang teknologi informasi, yaitu pembajakan. Konten-konten yang seharusnya menjadi property legal dari produsen dan secara legal dimiliki oleh orang tertentu, bisa dengan mudah disalahgunakan oleh pihak-pihak yang tidak bertanggungjawab termasuk pada SDS Bina Satria Mulia Medan. Digital watermarking dikembangkan sebagai salah satu jawaban untuk menentukan keabsahan pencipta atau pendistribusi suatu data digital dan integritas suatu data digital. Teknik watermarking bekerja dengan menyisipkan sedikit informasi yang menunjukkan kepemilikan, tujuan atau data lain, pada media digital tanpa mempengaruhi kualitasnya. Jadi pada citra digital, mata tidak bisa membedakan apakah citra tersebut disisipi watermark atau tidak. Metode yang digunakan untuk watermarking citra digital adalah metode LSB (Least Significant Bit) yaitu dengan menyisipkan sebuah kode pada citra yang akan dilindungi namun tidak merubah substansi dari citra tersebut. Kode unik inilah yang akan menjadi tanda atau mark pada sebuah citra. Dengan adanya kode tersebut dapat diketahui keaslian sebuah citra. Klaim terhadap keaslian citra dapat dibuktikan dengan adanya kode unik yang tertanam pada citra tersebut.

Abstract

Non-Cash Food Assistance (BPNT) is a type of assistance managed by the Ministry of Social Affairs. The problem that often occurs when selecting recipients of non-cash food assistance previously was choosing families receiving non-cash food assistance without complying with the specified requirements or criteria. In the selection of families receiving non-cash food assistance, there is still a family attitude such as the village head and his staff who choose families receiving non-cash food assistance. This is certainly very bad, resulting in poor people not getting assistance and will also cause social jealousy among residents and not produce community welfare. A decision support system (DSS) is a system that is able to provide problem-solving capabilities and communication capabilities for problems with semi-structured and unstructured conditions. In the decision support system, the MABAC method can be applied which is able to produce the best decisions and several inputted alternatives. The results obtained from the process carried out were that A4 was the selected alternative with the highest value, namely 0.602

Abstract

The demand for easily accessible, reliable, and informative tour guide services continues to increase along with the growth of the digital tourism industry. However, tourists still face various obstacles such as difficulty in finding professional tour guides, unclear prices, and the lack of a structured booking system. On the other hand, many tour guides do not yet have effective digital means to promote their services. This study aims to develop the TourGo application as a web-based platform that facilitates the process of searching and booking tour guides practically and safely. The method used is Rapid Application Development (RAD), which allows the development process to take place quickly through an iterative and prototyping approach. This application is designed with main features such as user registration, searching for tour guides by location and category, booking services, and a review and rating system. System testing was carried out using the black-box method and the calculation of the success rate on the tour guide interface showed a success rate of 95%, while the calculation of the success rate on the member interface showed a success rate of 91.67%, indicating a high level of user satisfaction. The results of the study indicate that the use of the RAD method is effective in producing applications that are in accordance with user needs and are able to answer problems in booking tour guides. The TourGo application is expected to be a digital solution that supports the development of technology-based tourism and increases the professionalism of local tour guide services.

Abstract

The problem faced is the calculation is still done manually so that it causes errors in determining the selection of suppliers based on the cheapest price, discounts given, payment terms and speed of product delivery then there is no decision support system in the supplier determination process at the Medika Insani Clinic in Bekasi City because it still uses a conventional system and not a computerized system. The purpose of designing a decision support system for selecting suppliers is to make it easier for clinic owners to choose suppliers and the calculation process is computerized using the AHP method. The method used in this study is the Analytical Hierarchy Process in solving the problems that have been studied. The results obtained in this study are to produce an accurate report of the best supplier selection data at the Medika Insani Clinic so that it can help in making strategies in the future. The application system that has been designed is suitable for use in the supplier selection process at the Medika Insani Clinic because it is in accordance with the needs, so it can facilitate the administration in the data input process and report creation.

Abstract

An injection engine is a motorized vehicle that uses a fuel injection system directly into the combustion chamber through an injector that is electronically controlled by the ECU. However, mechanics often encounter obstacles and difficulties in checking for damage to the injection engine, so that checks are still carried out manually on the injection engine. To overcome this problem, one solution is to utilize an analysis method that can help and facilitate mechanics in determining damage to the injection engine. This method was chosen with the aim of being able to identify the type of damage and provide solutions related to existing problems. The purpose of this study is to analyze and identify the types of damage to the injection engine using the Naïve Bayes method, as well as to determine the probability level of each damage so that it can provide more accurate information for the repair process. The results of the calculation test using the Naïve Bayes method show that problematic injection sensor damage is the damage with the highest value of 72.8%.

Abstract

Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) is a mental health disorder that is gaining increasing attention in the medical world and society. In Indonesia, public awareness and understanding of OCD are still low. Many OCD sufferers are unaware that they have this disorder. The main problem with OCD lies in its complex nature and difficulty in early recognition. Many OCD sufferers are unaware that their behavior is clinically abnormal because the symptoms are often considered common habits. The impact of these problems can have quite serious ongoing consequences. Individuals with OCD experience a decreased quality of life due to anxiety and compulsive behaviors that consume time and energy. In this study, the solution offered is to develop an expert system based on Ripple Down Rules (RDR) and Certainty Factor (CF). The purpose of this study is to increase public awareness and understanding of OCD, develop a system capable of making a quick and accurate initial diagnosis, facilitate the identification of OCD types, especially the Checking type, and provide support for medical personnel and psychological counselors in the initial diagnosis process. In the diagnostic calculation, the results show that Checking disorder has a percentage of 97.35%.
