Abstract

Indonesia is a country with a high disaster risk, including volcanic eruptions that affect the social, economic, and livelihood conditions of communities. Strengthening community resilience requires an integrated approach that combines disaster education, livelihood development, and community-based disaster management systems. This study aims to analyze the implementation of disaster education and livelihood development based on the Sister Village Information System in strengthening community resilience in Klakah Village, Boyolali Regency, and Gantang Village, Magelang Regency, in facing the risk of Mount Merapi eruption. This study employed a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation, and analyzed using an interactive analysis model consisting of data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results show that the Sister Village Information System functions as an integration mechanism for strengthening community capacity, institutional coordination, and sustainable livelihoods. Disaster education improves risk awareness, preparedness, and community participation, while livelihood programs based on local potential support economic recovery and adaptation after disasters. The integration of these approaches demonstrates that community resilience is built not only through disaster response capacity but also through the ability to adapt and sustain social and economic conditions.

Abstract

This research is conducted to (1) evaluate the execution of Problem Based Learning (PBL)-based differentiation learning on the diversity and classification of living things material in inclusive junior high school classes. (2) analyze the improvement of science understanding of inclusive junior high school class VII students on the diversity and classification of living things material through the implementation of Problem Based Learning (PBL)-based differentiation learning. This investigation employs a classroom action research (CAR) design executed across two cycles. The study involved 10 seventh-grade students at SMP Negeri 1 Mentarang Hulu as the research subjects. Data were gathered through observation, testing, and documentation methods. Furthermore, the research instruments encompassed observation sheets for both teacher and student activities, alongside tests measuring the comprehension of science concepts and relevant documentation. The collected data underwent descriptive analysis utilizing both quantitative and qualitative approaches. The findings of this research demonstrate that (1) the implementation of Problem Based Learning (PBL)-based differentiation learning includes student orientation to contextual problems, organizing students in learning activities according to their learning readiness, guiding individual and group investigations, compiling and presenting problem-solving results, as well as reflection and evaluation of the learning process and outcomes.
