Abstract

The development of geothermal projects brings about social changes in the community environment. PT Sorik Marapi Geothermal Power's policy through the construction of this geothermal power plant also has a big impact on changes in the economic level of the local community. This research uses a qualitative research method, a phenomenological approach, trying to explain or reveal the meaning of existing concepts or experiential phenomena based on the awareness that occurs from several individuals. The results of this research show that PT Sorik Marapi Geothermal plays a big role in improving the local community's economy, including: helping the community by providing fish farming businesses, helping village income, providing scholarships to local sons/daughters, and building village infrastructure. Land acquisition for the PT Sorik Marapi Geothermal geothermal project has had an impact on the socio-economic aspects of the community, as they have lost agricultural land. However, the company provides compensation money to people who clear their land with double the profits, and no party is harmed. This is based on the basic value of Islamic economics, namely responsibility. The responsibility given by the company is to provide the greatest good (maslahah) to the community. There are two types of PT Sorik Marapi Geothermal Power, namely: First, the negative impacts that occur after land acquisition on the PT Sorik Marapi Geothermal Power geothermal project are as follows: agricultural land is decreasing, clean water supply is decreasing, noise around the project area, air pollution, the roofs of residents' houses being easily damaged, gas leaks due to company negligence, which caused fatalities. Second, the positive impact, the positive impact after land acquisition on the PT Sorik Marapi Geothermal Power geothermal project is as follows: progress in the area, increased regional income, and reduced poverty land acquisition, many people, especially in the Puncak Sorik Marapi sub-district, suddenly became rich, expanding roads around the geothermal project area and creating jobs for the surrounding community.

Abstract

Indonesia is a country with a very large market share for sharia economy-based products and services. The development of the halal product industry in Indonesia from year to year is increasingly significant. It cannot be denied that research related to halal products is always interesting to study and analyze more deeply, especially from the consumer's perspective. Therefore, this research aims to analyze how Income, Taste, and Price influence the Decision to Purchase Halal Products in North Sumatra Province with Interest as an Intervening Variable. This research is quantitative research with verification research methods. The sample taken was 100 Muslim participants who live in North Sumatra. provided that participants have purchased or are currently using halal products. This research has the results that Income, Taste, and Price partially influence interest in halal products in North Sumatra Province. Interest influences the decision to purchase halal products in North Sumatra Province. Income, tastes and prices both partially and simultaneously influence Halal Product Purchasing Decisions in North Sumatra Province with Interest as an Intervening Variable. Based on the analysis, it appears that the three factors, namely income, price, and people's tastes, have a significant impact on shaping consumer preferences. The relationship between income, product prices, and tastes creates complex dynamics that influence people's purchasing decisions for halal products.

Abstract

Less than 10% of Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs) under the member of Rumah BUMN Mandiri, Bogor have successfully obtained Kredit Usaha Rakyat (KUR) from formal financial institutions. This study aims to determine the influence of the 4C Principles; character, capacity, capital, and condition, on the eligibility status for granting KUR to MSEs under the member of Rumah BUMN Mandiri, Bogor, and to formulate a business incubation program scheme based on the concept of Integrated Microfinance Management (IMM). The quantitative approach used is an independent t-test and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM), while the qualitative approach is conducted through thematic analysis. Data collection is carried out using purposive sampling through questionnaires distributed to 109 MSEs under the member of Rumah BUMN Mandiri, Bogor, and in-depth interviews with informed respondents. The research results indicate that the aspects of character, capacity, and condition significantly influence the eligibility status for KUR, while the capital aspect does not have a significant influence. There is a need for synergy between Rumah BUMN Mandiri, Bogor, and Bank Mandiri to increase the number of KUR recipients through an entrepreneurship empowerment program oriented towards achieving the output and outcome of the business incubation process, as well as effective socialization of business credit management.

Abstract

Based on the results of situational analysis, problematic situations, strategies, and the proposed model as explained above, several conclusions can be drawn. The high number of Muslim people in Indonesia encourages companies to innovate in creating new products that are easier for the public to understand, especially related to Sharia insurance. The existing condition of the insurance industry is driven by the real growth trend of Sharia insurance customers, which can be used as a measure of industry growth. When compared with other countries, there are similarities and differences between Sharia and conventional insurance governance. This can be used as a comparative reference to optimize the management of the Sharia insurance industry. Based on the results of the situation analysis, it is known that the current condition of the Sharia insurance industry is not optimal because there has been no serious effort from the regulator to integrate all potential from upstream to downstream in all elements of the Sharia insurance industry. From the results of the interview analysis, it was revealed that the strategy considered to be the most effective and the main priority in developing the Sharia insurance industry is increasing human resource competency through intensive and continuous training. This aims to overcome the shortage of professional human resources in the fields of insurance and sharia economics while ensuring quality improvement.

Abstract

The study aims to test the immersion variable as a mediator between visibility, metavoicing, and guidance shopping against purchase intention on Shopee's live-streaming shopping features. This type of research is quantitative with design correlation path analysis. A total of 114 respondents were millennials aged 17–20. Research results show that the immersion variable is a significant mediator variable between metavoicing and guidance shopping towards purchase intention. There is a significant direct influence between the visibility guidance shopping variable and the immersion on the purchase intention. However, the results of the analysis also show that the metavoicing variable does not have a direct effect on the purchasing intention, while visibility does not directly affect immersion. Therefore, the immersion variable is not the mediator variable between visibility and purchase intention. Based on that, purchase intention will increase significantly if there is an increase in metavoicing and guidance shopping. Metavoicing and guidance shopping increased the purchase intention with increased immersion. However, the buy intention will increase significantly without the increase in immersion, and the purchase intent will only rise significantly when the metavoicing variable is bridged by immersions.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the influence of literacy rate, women's involvement in parliament, fertility rates, and female life expectancy on the female labor participation rate in member countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC). The study employs panel data analysis methods for 20 OIC member countries spanning from 2019 to 2021, utilizing data from the World Bank. The data is processed using Eviews 12 software. Findings from the Fixed Effects Model (FEM) approach indicate that women's participation in parliament harms the female labor participation rate. However, literacy rate, fertility rate, and female life expectancy do not significantly affect the female labor participation rate. Based on the research outcomes, governments should evaluate the causes of the declining female workforce participation rate, engage in dialogue with various stakeholders, and formulate policies that support women's involvement without compromising their participation in the workforce. Additionally, strengthening family support policies, promoting gender equality in parliament, and enhancing women's financial literacy are essential measures.
