Abstract

The objective of this study is to examine the impact of internal and external factors on stock returns of companies in the transportation, logistics, and delivery sectors listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the period 2021–2023. This research employs a quantitative methodology, and the data were analyzed using SPSS version 27. The findings from the simultaneous regression analysis indicate that four independent variables, Return on Assets (ROA), Debt to Equity Ratio (DER), Return on Equity (ROE), and inflation, jointly have a statistically significant effect on stock returns (Sig. = 0.044 < 0.05). However, the results of the partial (individual) test reveal that only the inflation variable has a statistically significant influence, and the relationship is negative. This suggests that an increase in inflation tends to reduce stock returns.

Abstract

This study aims to identify factors influencing profitability in the food and beverage sector listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The novelty of this research lies in the inclusion of sales growth as an independent variable. The study uses panel data from 22 companies over the 2020–2024 period, totaling 110 observations. Data analysis is conducted using panel regression and Ordinary Least Squares (OLS) methods. The OLS results show that liquidity, sales growth, efficiency, and firm size positively affect ROA, while working capital and leverage have negative effects. The panel model finds that only sales growth significantly affects ROA. For EPS, OLS shows working capital, efficiency, and size as significant, while panel regression finds working capital and efficiency positive, and inflation negative. Other variables are not significant. These findings suggest that managers should improve efficiency and scale, while investors should prioritize firms with strong assets and efficient operations to enhance profitability.

Abstract

This research investigates the effectiveness of the utilization and distribution of zakat across five key programs of BAZNAS Batam City: Batam Makmur, Batam Cerdas, Batam Sehat, Batam Taqwa, and Batam Peduli. The study employs several analytical tools, including the Allocation to Collection Ratio (ACR), Fishbone Diagram, and the CIBEST Model. Findings reveal that the Batam Makmur program has the lowest distribution rate at 7% when compared to the other programs. Based on ACR analysis, BAZNAS Batam City falls within the effective category, although the distribution of productive zakat remains suboptimal. The Fishbone Diagram highlights critical challenges, particularly related to human resources and the educational level of mustahik. Furthermore, the CIBEST Model indicates that zakat distribution contributes positively to the material and spiritual well-being of mustahik. The study suggests enhancing mustahik education and adopting digital zakat distribution systems as key strategic improvements.

Abstract

PT XYZ is a company engaged in the energy sector in Indonesia. Based on the company's 2020-2023 report, minor work accidents occurred with the highest frequency and increased in 2021 and 2022. Moderate work accidents increased in 2023 and serious work accidents increased in 2021. The number of work accidents that occurred from 2020 to 2023 in the company remained relatively high. This indicates that OHS management is a crucial concern, so that it can reduce the number of work accidents. Therefore, this study aims to measure the level of maturity of occupational safety culture (OHS) so that it can be used as evaluation material or recommendations for OHS management in the company. This study will consider psychological, behavioral, and situational aspects and use seven dimensions: commitment, information & communication, leadership, organizational learning, competence, involvement & engagement, and responsibility, as well as a quantitative approach through the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) method. The results of the study indicate that the level of maturity of XYZ's safety culture is 4.48, so the company is at the proactive safety culture maturity level. The proposed improvement recommendations are to ensure that the condition of PPE and work safety equipment is functioning properly, create SOPs for each position, hold regular briefings before each job is carried out, conduct work area inspections, install warning signs and safety information in the work area, document all work that has been done, conduct work safety training according to each worker's job description periodically, and hold regular meetings about the importance of K3.

Abstract

This study (case study on LQ-45 stocks on the Indonesia Stock Exchange) will examine the differences between these times to evaluate abnormal returns, trading frequency activity, and volume activity before and after the Covid-19 pandemic. In the approach, quantitative methodology is used. A purposive sampling strategy is used to collect the data with a population of 60 enterprises from 2018 to 2021, and a sample of 28 companies is obtained. The results of the investigation showed that the abnormal returns before and after the COVID-19 epidemic did not differ significantly. However, a study on trading volume activity and trading frequency activity revealed that there were notable variations between the COVID-19 pandemic and other times. Investors will compete with one another to sell their shares as a result of their worries that the COVID-19 case may spread and become challenging to handle. Investors prefer to sell these shares rather than hold onto businesses that carry a significant chance of financial loss as a result.

Abstract

In the distribution industry, operational efficiency is essential to improve competitiveness and customer satisfaction. This study aims to optimize the distribution process of goods at CV Anugerah Hasil Abadi by implementing the Lean Distribution approach. The Value Stream Mapping (VSM) method is used to identify major waste in the distribution process, while the 5 Whys method is used to find the causes. The results of the study showed five activities with the highest time waste, namely storing goods in the warehouse (1440 minutes), loading goods into trucks (180 minutes), the process of unloading goods from trucks (180 minutes), checking goods according to sales orders (34 minutes), and the manager's signature process (30 minutes). The implementation of improvement solutions, such as the use of a warehouse management system (WMS), investment in loading and unloading equipment, and process digitalization, succeeded in reducing distribution time by 720 minutes, from 4260 minutes to 3540 minutes. In addition, the Process Cycle Efficiency (PCE) increased from 49.91% to 60.06%. These results prove that the implementation of Lean Distribution can improve operational efficiency and reduce waste in the distribution process.
