Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Indonesia Pintar Program (PIP) at the Syekh Abdul Halim Hasan Institute in Binjai City. The focus of the study is on policy implementation and factors that hinder the program. The approach used is descriptive qualitative research with data collection techniques through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Research informants included the Vice Rector III, the Head of Academic Affairs, and PIP recipient students. The results of the study show that the implementation of the Indonesia Pintar Program at the Syekh Abdul Halim Hasan Institute in Binjai City has been running quite well in accordance with the guidelines of the Ministry of Religious Affairs. However, the implementation of this policy still faces obstacles in terms of socialization, delays in fund disbursement, and limitations in human resources and supporting technological facilities. Communication and coordination between institutions are crucial aspects that need to be improved. The PIP program has proven to help students from underprivileged families, but its effectiveness can still be improved through evaluation, service digitalization, and transparency of recipient data.

Abstract

This study analyzes the financial soundness of four Indonesian state-owned banks—Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI), Bank Negara Indonesia (BNI), Bank Mandiri, and Bank Tabungan Negara (BTN)—using the Risk Profile, Good Corporate Governance, Earnings, and Capital (RGEC) framework as regulated in POJK No. 4/POJK.03/2016, which replaced Bank Indonesia Circular Letter No. 13/24/DPNP. A longitudinal comparative approach was applied across three periods: pre-pandemic (2015–2019), pandemic (2020–2021), and post-pandemic recovery (2022–2024), based on audited annual reports and recalculated financial ratios. Results show that the pandemic negatively affected asset quality and profitability, as indicated by increased Non-Performing Loans (NPL) and reduced Return on Assets (ROA). However, Capital Adequacy Ratios (CAR) remained well above regulatory requirements, ensuring overall financial stability. Good Corporate Governance (GCG) practices also improved consistently, acting as a stabilizing factor during the crisis. By the post-pandemic period, BRI and Mandiri achieved “Very Healthy” (PK-1) ratings, while BNI and BTN maintained “Healthy” (PK-2) status. These findings highlight the importance of credit restructuring, capital strengthening, and governance quality in sustaining the resilience of state-owned banks, offering valuable insights for policymakers in enhancing Indonesia’s financial system stability.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the level of performance and importance of product quality in order to design a marketing strategy for Nutmeg Juice Products. The research population consists of consumers of nutmeg juice products, with a sample size of 75 respondents. This study uses Importance Performance Analysis (IPA). The results of the study show that consumer expectations of nutmeg juice products focus on the uniqueness of the logo, attractive product appearance, and the accuracy of the flavour description on the packaging. Meanwhile, consumers perceive the product performance to be good in terms of ease of storage, health benefits, and long shelf life. Based on IPA analysis, it was found that the three product quality indicators that are the top priorities for improvement are performance, reliability, and quality of conformance. These three indicators are considered very important by consumers, but their performance still does not meet expectations. To achieve an effective marketing strategy, manufacturers can make efforts to improve ease of maintenance, product uniqueness, and aesthetics.

Abstract

Poverty on the island of Java is still a serious problem that is influenced by various dimensions, both education, health, as well as economic factors and regional development. This study aims to analyze the factors that affect the poverty rate in five provinces on the island of Java during the 2020–2023 period. The data used is secondary panel data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) covering 84 districts/cities. The analysis method used panel data regression with the Chow test and the Hausman test to determine the best model. The estimation results show that the Fixed Effects Model (FEM) model is the most suitable model. Simultaneously, the variables Life Expectancy Rate (AHH), Average School Length (RLS), Construction Cost Index (IKK), Building Village Index (IDM), Fiscal Independence Index (IKF), and Indonesian Disaster Risk Index (IRBI) have a significant effect on poverty levels. Partially, AHH, RLS, IDM, and IKF had a significant negative effect, while IKK and IRBI had no significant effect on poverty. These findings affirm the importance of improving the quality of health and education, sustainable village development, and regional fiscal independence in reducing poverty.

Abstract

This study analyzes the procurement business process within the Supply Management Department of PT Pamapersada Nusantara (PAMA) as a strategic function supporting supply chain effectiveness and operational sustainability. The research employs a qualitative descriptive approach through direct observation during an internship, in-depth interviews with internal stakeholders, and document analysis, including supplier evaluation reports and procurement monitoring results. The analysis covers process mapping, system effectiveness, and supplier performance evaluation using weighted indicators such as delivery time, on-time supply, overdue, discrepancy, and quality, which are compiled into a final score for supplier categorization. Findings reveal that the procurement process is supported by an integrated ERP system (SAP), yet several issues remain, including manual approval delays, late deliveries from certain suppliers, and limited automation in warehouse stock monitoring that reduces real-time visibility. Comparative assessment of two main suppliers, PT Paradhiya Ista and PT Wahana, shows significant performance gaps, with PT Paradhiya Ista achieving 95 percent on-time delivery, while PT Wahana faces discrepancy and overdue challenges. Root cause analysis identifies key inefficiencies stemming from weak interdepartmental integration, poor communication, and a lack of data-driven evaluations. The study recommends improvements to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and reliability in procurement operations.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of the North Sumatra Provincial Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol PP) in controlling street children in the Kampung Lalang area, on the border between Medan City and Deli Serdang Regency, and to identify the obstacles encountered in its implementation. The research method used a qualitative approach with interview, observation, and documentation techniques. The research informants consisted of Satpol PP officials, relevant social agencies, and street children who were the objects of control. The results showed that the role of Satpol PP had been carried out based on Biddle's (1986) role theory, which includes normative, functional, coordinative, social expectation, and rehabilitative roles. Although the normative and coordinative roles were carried out quite well, the implementation of the rehabilitative and social roles was not optimal due to limited resources and weak cross-sector coordination. Internal obstacles included limited personnel, facilities, and budget, while external obstacles included family economic factors, low educational awareness, and a lack of guidance facilities. This study recommends strengthening the institutional capacity of Satpol PP, inter-agency synergy, and a child protection-based approach to enforcement.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of psychological resilience on the performance and job satisfaction of internship program students with social support as a moderating variable. Based on the Conservation of Resources Theory and Social Support Theory, this quantitative study used a Likert scale questionnaire survey of students at the Faculty of Business and Economics, Islamic University of Indonesia. The data were analyzed using simple linear regression and Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA) through SPSS version 26. The results showed that psychological resilience had a positive and significant effect on performance and job satisfaction, while social support strengthened the relationship between the two. These findings confirm that strengthening resilience and social support not only plays a role in improving student performance and job satisfaction during the internship program, but also becomes an important factor in shaping their readiness to face future job challenges.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the role of service quality in enhancing the customer loyalty of the IndiBiz product provided by PT. Telkom Indonesia Witel Yogyakarta. Customer loyalty is crucial for maintaining market share in the competitive telecommunications industry. The Stimulus-Organism-Response (S-O-R) theory is utilized to analyze the relationship between service quality (stimulus) and customer loyalty (response). Service quality is analyzed through five dimensions: Tangibles, Reliability, Responsiveness, Empathy, and Assurance. This research employs a qualitative approach, conducting observations and in-depth interviews with five IndiBiz customers in Yogyakarta. The findings indicate that Reliability and Responsiveness play a significant role in shaping customer loyalty. Network reliability and prompt responses from customer service are the primary factors driving loyalty. Furthermore, staff empathy also strengthens the emotional connection with customers. However, issues with the MyIndiBiz application act as a barrier to optimally enhancing loyalty. Overall, while high service quality can strengthen customer loyalty, the company needs to improve sub-optimal aspects to retain it. Future research is recommended to explore the impact of improvements to the MyIndiBiz application on loyalty, increase the number of respondents, and analyze other factors such as price and brand image for a more comprehensive understanding.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the financial performance of PT Unilever Indonesia Tbk during the 2015-2024 period based on liquidity and profitability ratios. The research employs a descriptive quantitative method using secondary data obtained from the company’s annual financial statements. The analysis is conducted through the calculation of the Current Ratio (CR) and Quick Ratio (QR) as liquidity indicators, as well as the Gross Profit Margin (GPM), Net Profit Margin (NPM), Return on Investment (ROI), and Return on Equity (ROE) as profitability indicators. The results show that both liquidity and profitability ratios experienced fluctuations with a downward trend, particularly since 2019, due to declining sales and increasing operating expenses. Overall, the company’s financial performance is considered fairly good but shows a decreasing trend. It is recommended that the company improve asset management efficiency, cost control, and sales strategies to enhance liquidity and profitability in the future.
